A/N I just time skipped to lunch because I'm lazy sooooo...

"So, Darcy," said Jonty over a mouthful of sandwich. "What brings you here?"

I looked at my lap. "I-I don't really want to talk about it." I muttered.

"That's fine," he said.

I felt someone's gaze on me and looked up to meet Tennyson's concerned gaze. He opened his mouth to say something, but he was interrupted by a high-pitched voice.

"Jonty, babe, I haven't seen you in aaaaaaages."

A thin blonde walked up to our table and draped an arm over Jonty's shoulders.

Jonty laughed. "I took you out for dinner last night, Gail."

June glared at the girl. "Why are you here Gail?" She said.

"I just wanted to talk to my boyfriend," Gail purred.

Jonty looked frustrated. "Honestly you guys, I don't know why you can't accept her!"

June pursed her lips. "She's annoying and she's gonna cheat on you, I can feel it. We just love you, Jonty, and don't want you to hang out with trash like her!"

Jonty mussed June's hair. "Aw, thanks buddy, but despite your caring heart, I need a girl to keep others away."

Gail looked shocked. "Jonty!" She exclaimed. " Is that the only reason you're dating me?"

"Of course not, Gail!" Jonty soothed. But I wasn't so sure. His expression said otherwise.

"You wanna come and sit with me, baby?" Gail asks smoothly.

"Why don't you sit with us for once?" Jonty suggested.

I looked around the table at all the hostile faces. Yeah...Nah, she would not be welcome here.

"You're coming with me, Jonty," Gail said firmly, grabbing his arm and tugging him up from his seat.

"Uh, seeya guys," said Jonty over his shoulder.

"He doesn't look very happy about going with her," I remarked.

"He's not." Said June crossly. "He doesn't even like her." She swiped a tomato piece from Jonty's abandoned sandwich.

"So why is he with her?" I asked.

"What he said was true," said Ally. "He goes out with her because he's really popular and he hates it when all the girls hit on him because he really leans towards boys but his parents are homophobic so he can't actually date any boys and so he has to date Gail to sort of deter his parents from guessing that he's bi and-"

"Woah, okay, Ally, I'm sure Darcy gets the picture," interrupted Tennyson.

Ally turned to me suddenly, her eyes narrowed. "You're not homophobic, are you?"

I pulled back a little. "Uh, no, of course not! One of my best friends is gay..." I trailed off again. I don't want to think about what I left behind.

"Oh, good," said Ally, not seeming to notice what I said after no.

But I think Tennyson did. His hand brushed my arm and his eyes were concerned when I looked at him. God, this guy is too perceptive. But hot, I remind myself. Perceptive and hot.

"Do you think she's cheating on him?" I said to distract myself from how my face was heating up thinking about the boy next to me.

"Definitely,"said Lola. "Probably with Jake."

"Who's Jake?"

"The playboy jock to end all playboy jocks," said June grimly.

"He's evil," added Ally.

"And ugly," said June, making a face.

"He's actually not that ugly," said Lola.

"Yes he is!"exclaimed June.

"Doesn't matter!" Said Ally. "He's evil and Gail is probably cheating on Jonty with him."

Tennyson nodded in agreement, and the four sat in despondent silence for a moment.

"What if we could catch her with him?" I suggested on the spur of the moment.

"Nah-"

"Yes!" June interrupted Lola. "We should!"

"Yeah, if we can catch her in the act and film it, then Jonty'll have to dump her!" agreed Ally in excitement.

"Can you help us, Darcy?" said Lola, giving in to the idea.

"I, um,"

Tennyson grinned at me and I melted.

"Yeah, why not," I said.

"Okay, I've got a plan," said Ally.

I'm back from the dead, my friends! Nah, idk I just had a bit of writers block and then I got distracted and read a billion Hamilton fanfics (Lams, jeffmads, Jamilton, I ship them all sis) instead of writing my own story lol
