20. Good Morning, Sunshine
Yangyang woke the next morning to Kun planting kisses on his cheeks. He scrunched his nose and giggled, not wanting to wake up yet, and Kun chuckled.
Kun raked his fingers through his hair and Yangyang opened his eyes and gazed up at him.
“Morning, Yang. Do you want to take a shower with me?” Kun asked, his voice smooth and velvety, even though he had just woken up.
Yangyang couldn’t help but smile at his offer and nodded, reaching up for Kun’s hand to play with his fingers. Kun smiled sweetly down at him and hummed a gentle tune as he settled down to sit on the side of the bed, watching as Yangyang traced the lines and joints of his fingers.
“So, what have you got planned for today?” Kun asked.
Yangyang smiled as he placed his palm against Kun’s, seeing how their hands fit almost perfectly together, his own fingers being just a little longer that Kun’s.
“I’m meeting Ten for brunch.” He replied.
“Oh, what time?” Kun questioned, sliding his hand up so it looked like his hand was bigger than Yangyang’s.
“At 11:30, so I’ve definitely still got time to have that shower with you.” He replied with a grin.
He slipped his fingers between Kun’s, entwining their hands, and pushed himself up into a sitting position with his free hand.
“Mm, I’m glad.” Kun hummed in response.
He stood and pulled Yangyang up with him. Yangyang noticed his eyes slowly trail downwards as the sheets fell from his naked body and onto the bed, and he felt a familiar heat spread through his veins. That heat was then accompanied by sensitive pin pricks as Kun placed a hand on his hip, drawing small circles against his skin with his thumb.
“I put the money in your bank account last night and I paid for the hotel room when I checked in, so you don’t need to worry about a thing.” Kun said. “I can also drop you off to meet Ten if you like?” He added.
Yangyang blushed. “You don’t have to do that, all this,” - he waved his hand, gesturing to the extravagant room - “is more than I could have asked for.” He replied.
“Don't be silly Yang, I wanted to make you feel as happy as I felt when I won that auction, and besides, I don't mind.” Kun said.
Before Yangyang could attempt to turn down his polite offer, Kun took his hand and led him into the bathroom.
It was as sleek and stylish as the rest of the hotel room, with glossy black wall tiles and a large fountain shower. Kun put down the bath mat and switched on the shower, and soon the hot flowing water was steaming up the small room.
Kun stepped under the flow of water, lifting his head back and sweeping wet hair from his face. Yangyang drank in the sight, watching each trail of water as it dribbled down his toned body, seeing the muscles on his back and shoulders move and contract as he stood enjoying the hot water. Yangyang didn't even realize that he hadn't followed Kun into the shower until the older man turned, a smile playing on his lips, and offered him his hand.
“Come closer, Yang.”
Yangyang gratefully took his hand and stepped into the shower, with Kun wrapping his arms around him.
♡♡♡
One hour later and Kun was pulling up his white Audi R8 outside the mall where Yangyang had arranged to meet Ten.
Yangyang had never been in a sports car before - let alone seen one with his own eyes - so the ride into town had been exciting, particularly when Kun got up to speed on the expressway. His sleek sports car purred with power and drove extremely smoothly, even at 120kph.
Kun had seemed to enjoy showing Yangyang his car too. He had showed him the custom red leather seats with matching seat belts, the voice controlled system and fingerprint recognition to turn on the car with pride and Yangyang could tell he loved his car and treated it well, as it was sparkling clean inside and out.
“I’ll message you later, have fun with Ten.” Kun said, flashing him a soft smile.
Yangyang wet his lips and grinned back at him, knowing that meant he would be wanting to arrange another time to have sex, before stepping out of the car. He gave Kun a quick wave goodbye and Kun revved his engine and drove off, weaving back into the congested traffic.
He admired the sleek sports car as it drove away, fading into the distant traffic then turned on his heel, stuffed his hands into his jeans pockets and walked into the mall with a smile on his face. The day had only just begun and yet Yangyang felt it was already going to be perfect.
First he had woken up in Kun’s arms, the unbelievably handsome, rich man who had paid to take his virginity from him, and now he was got to spend a couple of hours with his also undeniably attractive friend, Ten. Yangyang was brimming with happiness; that warm, fuzzy sensation that had swept through his veins from the moment Kun had wrapped his arms around him in the elevator last night, and it hadn’t left him since.
He reached a set of escalators and jogged up them, eager to see Ten and tell him all about his eventful and unforgettable night. Once he reached the fourth floor, he weaved through the throng of people that had already filled the large mall, bouncing lightly on the soles of his sneakers as he made his way around to a cafe at the southern end of the mall near the food court called The Nook.
It was a cute, cozy cafe that was styled in a way reminiscent of a library, with shelves of books lining the walls on either side and intimate circular booths with green reading lamps on the tables. The cafe also had a full glass window along the back wall, providing an excellent view of the busy streets down below.
Yangyang often liked to hang out here on weekends and sit at one of the benches that lined the window so he could watch the busy world pass by. He was often alone when he came here, so it was a nice feeling to know that he was coming here to meet someone.
He walked through the cafe entrance and quickly spotted Ten, sitting at one of the booths, looking for all the world like a character from a romantic TV drama. He sat at the table with a book delicately placed in his hands, his feline like eyes skimming across the pages as he read. He looked so breathtaking, even just doing such a mundane task as reading a book, and Yangyang noticed that he wasn’t the only one who felt this way; there was a group of girls sitting at a bench by the window, and two sitting at another booth across the room who were all staring at him and whispering excitedly to each other. Maybe they were trying to decide if Ten had come alone or if he was waiting for someone, his girlfriend perhaps?
Yangyang didn’t care, because he knew that he was the one Ten was waiting for. He strode confidently over to Ten’s booth to greet him. Ten looked up from his book as he approached and a warm smile graced his face.
“Hey Ten, have you ordered anything yet?” Yangyang asked as he took a seat opposite the older boy.
“Morning Yangyang, and no I haven’t.” He replied, closing the book with one hand.
“What were you reading?” Yangyang asked, trying to peek at the cover of the book that Ten had been so immersed in reading.
“Oh, it’s nothing, just something that was on the table when I got here.” Ten responded indifferently, placing the book down and sliding it away to the edge of the table. “More importantly, how are you? You seem to almost be glowing with happiness.” Ten complimented him with a smile and Yangyang couldn’t help but grin back.
“It was great Ten!” Yangyang began, lowering his voice and leaning over the table so only Ten could hear him, “Kun had got this executive suite at a really fancy hotel, and he’d even decorated the bed with rose petals.” He reached forward to hold Ten’s hands in his as he excitedly explained his evening.
“He said so many nice and wonderful things about how he was so happy to be with me and he was so gentle, like it hurt a little bit of course, but he stopped as soon as he thought he’d hurt me before I had to tell him to keep going!” Yangyang said with a shy chuckle.
He finished explaining the intimate details of his night and morning with Kun and then looked up at Ten through his eyelashes, waiting for his reaction. He wanted for Ten to be so happy for him and beam that radiant smile that Yangyang adored.
Yet he didn’t. He flashed Yangyang a smile and said “That’s great Yangyang, I’m glad it was such a beautiful experience for you.” but Yangyang heard the hollowness in his voice and saw some other unidentifiable emotion behind his eyes.
Why was Ten pretending to be happy for him?
But before Yangyang could ask, a waitress came over and asked for their orders. Ten quickly withdrew his hands from Yangyang’s and ordered a short black and a slice of vanilla cake with the same fake smile on his face. Yangyang watched him intently, trying to figure out why he was suddenly acting like this out of the blue.
Had something happened? Had he done something that had upset Ten?
“And for you?” The waitress asked, turning her attention to Yangyang.
Yangyang flicked his gaze up to her. “Uh, yeah I’ll get a hot chocolate and a slice of vanilla cake as well.” He responded.
The waitress smiled and nodded politely before walking off to the kitchen to prepare their orders for them. As soon as she left, Yangyang grabbed Ten’s hands again and looked worriedly up into his eyes.
“Are you okay? What’s wrong?” He asked.
Ten looked taken off guard for a moment at Yangyang’s unexpected questions, but quickly regained his composure and a calm smile settled over his handsome features.
“What are you talking about? Of course I’m fine.” Ten replied in a light tone.
Yangyang shook his head, not believing it. “No you’re not, you’re pretending to be.”
Ten’s smile faltered and he blinked at Yangyang.
“Why are you pretending Ten, did something happen?” Yangyang asked.
Ten gave a shallow chuckle and glanced uncomfortably around the cafe, but Yangyang reached up and placed a hand on his cheek, making Ten look him in the eye. Ten looked innocently back at him as if he had nothing to hide.
“You’re acting weird- you’ve been acting weird lately.” Yangyang began.
“What do you mean?” Ten asked, easing his hands from Yangyang’s and gently brushing Yangyang’s hand from his cheek.
Yangyang frowned at him, feeling disappointment creep in as Ten was once again pushing away his affection.
“This,” He replied, holding up his now empty hands, “You’re normally so affectionate but lately it feels like you’re trying to push me away.”
He slumped into his seat. Hearing the last sentence leave his lips hurt more than he had thought it would and he crossed his arms over his chest.
“What? Don’t be silly, I’m acting like I always do.” Ten responded quickly. “Besides, I’m a businessman Yangyang, I wouldn’t want people thinking that I treat you differently from them.” He added.
Yangyang looked up at him, a lightbulb going off in his head. He pulled out a small wad of cash from his pocket and slid it across the table.
“If you want me to pay I can, I just want you to act like normal again.” Yangyang insisted.
Ten wrinkled his nose as he looked at the money and slid it back across the table. “I don’t want your money, Yangyang.” He responded.
“Well then what? What do you want from me? Just tell me and I’ll do it, please Ten.” Yangyang begged. It was hurting him that Ten was keeping something from him and wouldn’t tell him how he was truly feeling.
“Yangyang I-” Ten was cut off when the waitress showed up with their orders, sliding the delicious looking slices of cake in front of them, along with their steaming cups of hot liquid. Ten thanked the waitress but Yangyang didn’t acknowledge her, keeping his eyes on the Thai boy instead; desperate to hear what he had to say.
Once the waitress left, Yangyang waited for Ten to finish speaking. He reached for his cup of coffee, wrapping his fingers around it and looked down into the cup before he let out a sigh and raised his head to look up at Yangyang.
“Yangyang, I… I just want to enjoy us hanging out today, can we do that?” Ten asked gently.
Yangyang once again slumped back into his seat, feeling deflated. He slid his money from the table and stuffed it back in his pocket.
“I’m sorry Yangyang, there is something on my mind but I… it’s nothing you did okay? You could never do anything to upset me.” Ten explained.
Yangyang looked him in the eye and Ten gave him a small smile, a genuine one this time.
“But why can’t you talk to me about it? I want to know, I want to try and help.” He pouted.
“I know you do, but I just need to think things over a bit more, to sort out how I’m feeling; you understand don’t you?” Ten asked, a hopeful look in his eyes.
Yangyang sighed and nodded. “Yes okay, but I still don’t get why you can’t just talk it out with me.”
“Thank you.” Ten smiled.
He picked up a teaspoon and scooped off a small section of cake, daintily placing it in his mouth.
“Mmm!” He exclaimed, his eyes widening. “Here, try some of this Yangyang.” He said, picking up Yangyang’s spoon and scooping some of his cake onto it.
Yangyang’s grin returned to his face and he gladly opened his mouth for Ten to feed him.
“Mmm!” Yangyang said, mimicking Ten.
The vanilla cake was as delicious as it looked; light and fluffy and sweet. Ten chuckled as he licked his lips and they happily enjoyed their brunch; Yangyang now happy that Ten’s sweet, genuine smile had returned.
