12. A Spare Seat
Yangyang walked calmly yet quickly to the bus, hoping today would be another day where he would be blessed with the good fortune of successfully avoiding Xiao Jun on the ride home from school.
So far everyday Yangyang had managed to not only avoid making uncomfortable eye contact with Xiao Jun, but he’d also always been able to sit somewhere far enough away to pretend that he wasn't there. Though he missed spending the bus journey sitting there watching the handsome boy, memorizing every feature of his sculpted face, the knowledge that Xiao Jun didn't have as beautiful a personality as his face remained present in the back of his mind.
Today, however, he was one of the last ones onto the bus and as he glanced around, he quickly realized the bus was already quite full. He walked to the back of the bus, holding onto the bars to steady himself as the bus pulled back into traffic and searched for a vacant seat. He spotted one right at the back of the bus and quietly celebrated at not having to stand for the duration of the ride home, but when he noticed who sat in the seat next to the vacant one he paled.
Xiao Jun eyed him with a cold expression while Yangyang stood awkwardly, not knowing if he should sit down or not. Xiao Jun rolled his eyes then turned his face to look out the window and Yangyang swallowed nervously and slowly sat down in the seat, trying to take up as less room as possible so that he wasn't so close to Xiao Jun. Yangyang kept his eyes ahead and dared not look at him.
After a long awkward silence Xiao Jun spoke.
“So you hooked up with the school hoe huh?” Xiao Jun smirked.
Yangyang shot him a small glare but instantly looked away when he met Xiao Jun's intense gaze.
“Ten's not a hoe.” He countered, looking down at his hands in his lap.
“Yet you pay him to fuck you?” Xiao Jun scoffed.
“N-no!” Yangyang stuttered.
“Oh… so you haven't fucked him yet then?” Yangyang felt Xiao Jun lean closer him. “But you want to don't you? What, can't you afford him?” Xiao Jun chuckled darkly.
Yangyang bit his tongue and balled his hands into fists. Xiao Jun was just trying to trigger him and Yangyang was intent on not taking the bait.
“No matter how much you pay him he's never going to be yours, you'll never have him just like you'll never have me.” Xiao Jun continued.
“Shut up.” Yangyang retorted meekly.
Don't listen to him, he told himself, he's just trying to coax a reaction from you.
If Xiao Jun was just going to be cruel to him, he would rather stand at the other end of the bus as far away from him as he could get. He went to stand up but Xiao Jun grabbed his wrist, freezing him in place. Yangyang flicked his head around and his eyes locked with Xiao Jun's.
“But maybe I feel sorry for you Yangyang, maybe I want to help you out,” He leaned in to whisper into his ear, “Do you want to know what it feels like to have your mouth wrapped around my dick?”
At the mention of it Yangyang couldn't stop himself from imagining exactly that; hearing Xiao Jun moan and seeing his beautiful face twist in pleasure as he sucked him off… it was undeniably a situation Yangyang wanted, even if he knew it was foolish to want it. Did Xiao Jun really mean it though, and would Yangyang sink low enough to accept the offer, even if Xiao Jun was only offering out of sympathy?
Xiao Jun leaned back to watch him, a satisfied smirk playing on his lips.
“I know you want me, and I'm offering to let you have me,” Xiao Jun rested a hand on Yangyang's thigh and he almost jumped out of his skin at the unexpected contact, his heart now racing. “You don't even have to pay me Yangyang.”
Yangyang stared into his eyes, considering the offer. But as he did, Ten, Kun and even Sicheng came to his mind. While he was still paying for Ten, both Kun and Sicheng were paying to be with him, and there was still his auction which was coming up soon. It wasn't like he was lonely anymore and though he wanted Xiao Jun he knew his true colors and knew he shouldn't trust him.
He tore his eyes away from Xiao Jun and removed his hand from his thigh. Xiao Jun clicked his tongue irritably.
“You think you can turn down my thoughtful offer? I'm being charitable here Yangyang,” Xiao Jun hissed under his breath making Yangyang shrink back into his seat at his sudden change in attitude.
The bus slowed and indicated to pull over; they were at Xiao Jun's stop. Yangyang quickly stood up, wanting as much space between himself and Xiao Jun as possible as the older boy now looked extremely offended that Yangyang had rejected his offer.
Xiao Jun's dark eyes bored into his as he stepped past him to get off the bus, but before he did he quickly whispered into Yangyang's ear.
“I know you want me and the offer still stands. When you come to your senses come and find me.”
Once Xiao Jun was off the bus Yangyang slumped back down into his seat and let out a breath he hadn't realised he'd been holding.
Xiao Jun had genuinely seemed irritated that Yangyang had turned him down… did that mean he actually did want him to suck him off? Was Xiao Jun's way of showing he liked someone actually by being cruel to them and bullying them? Yangyang had heard of people who did that but had never actually come across someone with that personality trait before.
Xiao Jun had been his crush ever since Yangyang first laid eyes on him; he was exquisitely handsome and had this intense aura that surrounded him, like one could look but not touch.
Had Xiao Jun perhaps felt the same way this whole time, but didn't know how to properly express his feelings?
But what would he think if he found out about Yangyang's new… extracurricular activities? He didn't seem like the type to share, but that wouldn't be such a bad thing either would it? He had gotten into the same business as Ten because he was lonely, but if he had Xiao Jun then he wouldn't need to do it anymore; he could solely be Xiao Jun's.
So many questions and possibilities were bombarding Yangyang's mind that he nearly missed his own stop. Thankfully someone else was getting off at the same stop and he hurried off the bus after them. As he walked down the street, he clutched onto his backpack straps and sank deep into thought.
Surely Ten would be alright with this whole situation right? Yangyang had gotten to really like him over the past couple of weeks, but he couldn't get the new possibility of Xiao Jun actually liking him out of his mind.
He knew Ten wasn't very fond of Xiao Jun but there must be something deeper to his personality, something that he would only be willing to share with someone he truly liked and trusted. It was a small strand of hope but Yangyang decided he wanted to find out and if it turned out how he hoped it would then he would tell Ten. He was certain that Ten would accept them as a couple and be happy for them; he was his friend after all.
Yangyang couldn't stop a small smile from dancing across his lips; the thought of he and Xiao Jun being a couple made the butterflies in his stomach return. His crush could possibly end up being his boyfriend. His smile grew and he quickened his pace, wanting to get home so he could daydream more.
