"We missed you at lunch"

I jump when I hear a voice behind me. Thor.

"Sorry I was distracted"

"That's quite alright dear sister"

He sits down next to me and sighs deeply

"I miss him too, Amia"

"I know you do, I just can't wait 'till he gets out"

"20 more days, sister, only 20"

We sit there admiring the scene for a couple minutes.

"Amia?"

"Yes, Thor?"

"I'm taking an interest in women and I was wondering if you could help me"

"Of course, who?"

"Promise to not make fun"

"Thor, I would never, and this is the first time you've been interested in so I won't make fun"

"Its Lady Sif"

"Thor that's wonderful! What do you need help with?"

"I don't know what to get her for the ball"

"We aren't really good friends but I'll try and find something and then I will get back to you may be in two days time?"

"Sound wonderful!" Thor boomed

I laughed "You to sound just like father"

"We should head back to the palace"

We ride back to the palace in silence. But when we are about a mile out I speak up.

"Hey, race you!"

We both start galloping and I start to giggle with excitement. Then I feel a pang if guilt rush through me.

Should I be having this much fun? While Loki is still in solitude. I don't know anymore! What do I do without him?

I snapped out of my trance because my horse was about to run into something and was kind of speaking up about it, very loudly. And so I turned the reins quickly and I somehow still beat Thor to the stables.

"Why did you slow down back there?"  Thor asked

"Oh I was just thinking"

"About what?"

"None of your concern, don't worry about it"

I start to walk out but Thor grabs my arm.

"20 more day Amia, only 20"

"I know Thor, I just really need to see him"

Thor let me go and I left my horse in the care of a stablemate.

I walked through the shops desperate to find gifts for my family. I came upon a shop with journals and fancy quills and pens. I bought two journals for Thor and a fancy quill and purple ink. I got Odin gold ink and about ten scrolls and parchment and a beautiful black and gold feather quill.

Now for mom's gift

I go to the jewelry section she always told me never to stress over a gift for her but I always did. I looked over the rare jewels and elegant hairpins when I found something absolutely astonishing. Pure gold feather hairpins, she would love them.

When I was walking back to the place I noticed a small shop with potion ingredients for really low prices. This was great I could give them to Loki when he gets out.

"Hello madam, what can I do for you?"

"Do you have Glowstone dust or spider eyes?"

"I have both"

"Great I'll have 12 spider eyes and if you have it 2 ounces of glow stone dust"

" I do, that will be five gold"

I smile at the old man

"why are these so cheep?"

"Do you really want to know?"

"Yes please"

"My wife left me because I couldn't afford anything she wanted so I'm selling everything"

"If she left you then she doesn't realize how sweet and kind you are. If you would try and give anything to her and she still left then she isn't worth all of this. Do what you love don't let anybody tell you otherwise"

I give him the coins and tip him generously then I try to head back to the palace.

"What is your name madam?!" the old man shouted out to me

"Amia, Amia Odindottir"

I smiled at the shock I left on his face when he realized that he was talking to a Princess.

I turn into an eagle right there in front of everybody and flew off.

I fly around for about 20 minutes and look at everything from my bird's eye view.

It's all so exciting.

The wind like dull dagger against my feather when I fly fast enough. The call of all the birds. The sound of fighting when I fly above the training center.

I decide to test them and I begin my decent and change mid air into the middle of a duel and start to fight them. It was difficult but once the commander noticed it was me he shouted

"All bow to the princess Amia!"

The soldiers noticed it was me and immediately went to their knees and begged for my forgiveness.

"Dear princess we didn't know it was you, please accept our most sincere apologies"

I smile and giggle under my breath and say

"No need to be sorry soldiers it was a test to see how easily you adapt, and you passed, both of you. Please rise!"

They all rise and I go up to the commander.

"You have trained very exceptional soldiers commander, you should be proud"

"Thank you princess and I am very proud of all of them"

I changdbjnto an eagle again and fly off to the shouts of everybody there. I feel the wind again and find an air current back to the palace.

When I get back into my room I am tired from shifting and running everywhere. I take off my small bag and set it on my small couch table and take out my hair from the braids and I flop on my couch. I take a deep breath as I take in my surroundings. The golden sun shining in and the birds slowly chirping.

"People missed you at lunch"

I stand and summon my daggers and armor but once I notice who it is. I drop down to my knees and cover my mouth as tears fill my eyes and all I could choke out is....

"L-Loki?"
