The Search

"Are you ok mother?" Loki asked Frigga, worry in his voice, as he dropped down to one knee to look her over for injuries.
"I'm fine my dears." Frigga told the worried boys, but sadness was in her eyes. She was heart broken about what she had to tell Loki. She reached up, cupping Loki's cheek with her hand. "I'm so sorry my son." She told Loki softly as he looked at her with under confusion.
"About what mother?" Loki asked when he was satisfied that she was unharmed.
Loki then heard the unmistakable sound of galloping hooves coming their way. They all looked back to see Blaze charging full speed at the four of them. Never slowing down his panicked run.
Blaze had seen you get shot and stabbed. He had seen you get dragged into the water. The moment he saw you getting attacked his magic dropped from the battle field.
His fires coming to a stop. Trees freezing in wired positions.
All he could think about was saving you.
"Blaze?" Loki asked confused, no yet realizing you weren't mounted on his back like you usually were.
Blaze jumped over the four of them, never looking back as he raced against the rapids.
"Where is (y/n)?" Loki asked, alarm rising in his voice as he watched Blaze gallop away. He looked over at his mother for answers. Wanting her to tell him everything was ok. That you were safe. That Blaze was only panicked because something spooked him. But deep down he knew that wasn't the case.
"I'm sorry Loki." Frigga repeated again, her eyes filling with tears for her son. For you.
Midgardians were so much more fragile than the Aesir. Frigga didn't see a way out for you. She had seen the damaged. She knew what that much damage had meant for you. Heck she was the leader of all the healers in Asgard. All she could do for her son now was find your body and give you a proper farewell.
"No." Loki said, refusing to believe you were really truly gone. He felt what his mother was not saying. He felt her emotions as they leaked through his shielding into his mind. He felt her hopelessness for you.
"Brother..." Thor started to say, trying to make Loki see reason. Thor knew the limits of humans. He knew just how fragile their lives were. He had been on Earth longer than Loki had. He knew that if his mother had this little of hope for you you were probably already gone.
"No Thor." Loki snapped back angrily as Thor's thoughts flooded Loki's mind. "(Y/n) isn't some lowly Midgardian. She's too stubborn to die. We need to find her."
Thor sighed but knelt by his brother grasping his shoulder, "then let me help you search." Thor offered him gently.
Loki nodded, thankful for the help his brother was offering. "We need to start now. I will take my stallion down the river in search for her. If we're lucky Blaze has already pulled her out of the river by now. We must find her as fast as we can."
Loki whistled for his stallion, needing to start the search for you now.
"The guards will search the other side of the river." Odin told his sons. "As well as a few miles away from the river. Take some guards with you as well, we don't know if we have captured all of these thugs."
Loki gave his father a confused look, wandering why Odin, the man who hated Midgardians and would not even let them into his realm, would be sending out palace guards to help for your search.
"You Lady put her life on the line for the queen of Asgard." Odin told Loki logically. "I will do everything in my power to bring her back safely. This realm owes her as much."
Loki's jet black stallion came up to him along with Thor's pure white one, pulling Loki out of his shock at what the Allfather had just said.
"We need to hurry." Loki told Thor as he mounted his stead and spurred him into a gallop the way Blaze had ran off to, trusting his brother to keep up.
Loki needed to find you. Before it was too late.
He couldn't be too late.
