Jade woke up the next morning with a monster of a headache. She got up from her bed and left her room headed for the kitchen to see what that amazing smell was.

"Mornin"

"Jeez J you look like crap"

"Tony!" shouted Nat from the stove "For gods sake Stark do you not know what today is?"

"What day it is? no"

"Full moon Tones, why do you think my eyes are yellow?"

"Oh right sorry J"

"Its okay, what smells so good?"

"Oh I'm making lasagne" said Nat stirring something in a pan.

"Oooo"

"You'll just have to wait a few hours and besides its breakfast time, help yourself" said Nat pointing to the table with a few plates with different foods on it.

Jade sat down and filled her plate with food and eat all of it while a stunned Tony watched.

"Why does my head feel like its splitting in two?" moaned Loki as he made it way into the kitchen

"You and me both pal, eat, you'll feel better, trust me"

Loki sat down next to Jade and eat just as much as Jade.

"Jeez you really do eat a lot"

"says You J, you just ate the same amount" said Tony

"So why does my head feel like its exploding?" asked Loki shoving a pancake into his mouth.

"Full moon tonight, that why your eyes are yellow"

"My eyes are yellow?" asked Loki

"Yep"

"MORNING FELLOW AVENGERS!" boomed Thor

"THOR!" shouted Loki and Jade

"What?"

"Inside voice, we talked about this remember?"

"Ah right, my apologies. Brother are your eyes yellow?"

"Full moon" said Jade with a mouth full of food.

"Ahh well I hope you both have fun together tonight, But I have been summoned home by Mother, So I will be gone a few days" said Thor as Jade frowned, she never thought about that fact that Loki would be joining her, she liked to spend full moons alone. She'd never had company before.

"What does Mother want?" asked Loki

"I don't know brother, the summons was rather mysterious"

"Well Thor say Hi to Frigga for me, I have to go pack for tonight" said Jade as she patted Thor's shoulder and left the dinning room/kitchen.

"Did she seem off to anyone else or is it just me?" asked Loki to no one in particular.

Jade popped her head into the kitchen. "Hey Tony what time does the helicopter leave?" she asked.

"7 pm Sharp don't be late, either of you" Said Tony pointing at Jade and Loki.

Jade left the Kitchen and headed to her room. Loki was suspicious of Jades actions.

1 hour later (Jade's room)

Jade was packing her bag with everything she would need for tonight.

* Spare clothes and shoes

* A bottle of water

* A pack of mint gum

* An emergency Phone (provided by worrywart Tony)

KNOCK KNOCK

"Come in" said Jade

Loki came through the door. "What are you doing?" he asked

"Packing for tonight, you should do the same"

"What do I need to pack?" asked Loki

"Um spare clothes, water, and probably a hairbrush, which I forgot" said Jade as she put her brush in her bag.

"You seem tense, Is something wrong?"

"Nope, why would anything be wrong?" asked Jade, confused at what Loki was getting at.

"You seemed displeased by what my oaf of a brother said earlier"

"Oh you caught that huh?" said Jade as she sat on the edge of the bed, hanging her head in shame.

"Is it me?" asked Loki slightly self conscious, as he sat next to her.

"No! Yes...I have always spent that full moon alone, I've just never had company before. The full moon is basically the only time I get to be me"

"Oh I'm sorry"

"No don't be, It'll be nice to have company. I'm worried, what if our wolves don't get along, I don't want to hurt you Loki"

"Nor I you, I guess we will find out"

6:50 PM

Everyone was sitting in the lounge playing Monopoly and of course Tony was rich, Bucky was in jail and Nat... well lets just say Nat was defiantly cheating, not that anyone noticed of course.

"Oi! Jade, Reindeer games! You two should be going like now" said Tony

"Crap..." exclaimed Jade

"Language!!" shouted everyone at one, taking the mick out of Steve, who was clearly getting annoyed by everyone always taking the mick out of him. Everyone burst out in laughter. Jade and Loki got their bags and headed to the Helipad. The helicopter was already waiting for them, they got in and were off to the 12 acers of land that Tony owned but never used, so he built a small cabin, so Jade and now Loki could spend full moons away from everyone and everything.

Loki and Jade were sitting in the Helicopter In silence which was deafening to Jade.

"Are you okay?" asked Jade

"Yes" said Loki clearly still hurt by what she said earlier

"Look Loki, I know I hurt your feeling earlier and I'm sorry. I know this is new to you and I should've been more understanding. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings"

"I understand, really I do. I'm just being petty"

"No your not, you have every right to be angry with me"

"I'm not angry, Its just I never felt like I was accepted anywhere" said Loki fiddling with his hands

"And I made It worse" said Jade "I'm sorry, I understand that feeling better than anyone, I never really felt like I belonged either"

"Its alright, I forgive you" said Loki with a smile

"I really am sorry"

They arrived at the cabin with minutes to spare. They placed their bags inside and made their way to the small cliffs and watched the moon. Their veins were turning black and their eyes were an even brighter yellow

"So what now?" asked Loki

"Now we let the moon do its work, just don't fight it, okay?"

"Understood"

Loki took Jade's hand as they stood looking at the moon. Loki changed first, he changed into a big black wolf with bright yellow eyes and a slight green tint to his fur. He walked into a circle, amazed at his new form as Jade smiled at how happy he looked.

Jade changed into her wolf, Pure white with black tipped ears and yellow eyes.

The howled, greeting the moon and ran off into the woods.

The next morning

Jade woke up alone in a small cave, she stretched and walked outside not seeing Loki anywhere, which made her worry since he probably didn't know how to get back to the cabin.

Jade made her way back to the cabin and put on her spare clothes because her others shredded when she changed. She noticed that Loki's bag hadn't moved. She took his clothes out and went outside to look for him.

She followed the scent of her friend and followed it. After a few minutes of solid running she lost the scent.

"LOKI!" Shouted Jade, Jade used her hearing to see if he heard her.

There was no response.

"Shit, where are you Loki?" said Jade into the air.

"LOKI!" shouted Jade as she walked through the woods attempting to pick up his scent again.

She kept walking, suddenly smelling the scent of the Asgardian. She ran after it and saw him lying on the ground. She went over to him but was immediately thrown by an invisible barrier created by his magic.

She landed on her back with a thud "Ow" said Jade who slowly got up, gathered up Loki's clothes and walked back to where he was.

She kneeled down beside him minding the barrier and tried to wake him up.

"Loki?" "LOKI!"

Loki shot up and he started hyperventilating.

"Hey, hey its just me"

"What happened?"

"I was worried when you took a long time to come back so I came looking for you, Here" said Jade handing him his clothes.

Loki realising he was naked took the clothes and put them on.

"By the way, there was a barrier around you when you were out" said Jade looking away while he changed, but obviously noticed hat he was ripped, muscles everywhere.

"Really?"

"Yeah, threw me 10 yards"

"Sorry, are you alright?" Said Loki tying his shoe.

"Fine, are you?"

"Yes, last night was..."

"Fun?"

"Exhilarating"

"Good, the first time is always the best" said Jade turning round to Loki in a green hoodie, black jeans and black boots.

There was a sound from above the trees, the helicopter.

"The helicopter, we need to get back, Race you" said Jade who started running.

"Cheater!" shouted Loki running after.

They ran through the woods at incredible speeds, obviously Jade won since she cheated. They went inside and gathered their bags and went to the helicopter.

When they arrived back in New York, the compound was surprisingly quiet, which worried Jade a bit.

"Jarvis, where are the others?"

"The others are have been captured by Hydra, S.H.I.E.L.D have been attempting a rescue, but have been unsuccessful"

"Can you track Tony's suit?"

"Yes I can"

"Give me a location Jarvis"

"Your not seriously going?" asked Loki

"I am an avenger Loki, I have to try"

"I'm coming with you"

"Loki you don't have control"

"No but I still have magic and I can still fight"

"Are you sure?"

"Absolutely"

The Hydra Facility

"Can you get us to them?" Jade asked Loki

"I can, hold on"

Jade took Loki's hand and he teleported them into the facility. They landed in the rafters of the warehouse, looking down on the people and the more specifically the prisoners. They saw the team handcuffed to a wall.

"Oh god, they've been tortured"

"What's the plan?" asked Loki

"We wolf out" said Jade who looked at Loki in the eyes.

"I... I don't know how"

"Listen to me, you are a shapeshifter, use that, not the wolf"

"Got it"

"Loki, don't lose control"

"I won't"

Loki's eyes glowed green and he shifted into a dragon as he jumped down, he started to take out the Hydra agents.

"Awesome"

Jade jumped down and shifted into her wolf and landed on Loki's back ran down his tail and to the man at the console.

She growled at him and he ran away. She shifted back and was about to set the others free when she heard Loki growl in pain.

"LOKI!" shouted Jade who saw him getting shot at with plasma guns.

Inside Jade's head 'Get them out'

"Loki" said Jade with tears threatening to fall

'GO!'

Jade let the others go and guided them to the door. She turned around and saw Loki losing control and killing the agents.

Jade walked up to the dragon. It was about to fry her, she didn't move despite the shouting coming from the team telling her to run.

"Loki!"

The dragon lowered its head to look at Jade in the face.

"I know your in there Loki, come back to me, please" said Jade who put a hand on his nose "Please, they are safe now, come back to me, my friend"

Loki's eyes went wide as he regained control, he shifted back and stood there in front of Jade. He was about to hug her when he swayed and was about to collapse but was caught by Jade.

"Thank you" whispered Loki

"Always, lets go home"

Jade put his arm around her neck and walked out to the jet.

"We leave for one night and you get yourselves captured, typical" said Jade setting Loki down on one of the the seats in the Jet.

"Thanks for the rescue Kid" said Cap

"I wasn't the only one who rescued you Steve" said Jade crossing her arms, Kind angry at Steve for not acknowledging Loki's part in their rescue.

"Loki, thank you"

"Anytime Captain"

After Steve thanked him the whole team followed in and thanked him too. Jade flew the jet back to the compound.

Hours later

KNOCK KNOCK

"Come in Loki" said Jade sitting on her bed reading a book.

Loki entered the room. "How did you know it was me?"

"I know what you smell like now, after tracking you in the woods earlier"

"By the way I'm sorry about the barrier" said Loki sitting on the edge of her bed.

She moved over to sit next to him. "Its alright, but why was it there?"

"Many people have tried to assassinate me, so I learned to sleep with it"

"Did you think I was going to hurt you?" asked Jade

"No, It was just a protective reflex" said Loki as he put his hand on Jade's hand.

KNOCK KNOCK

"Come in Tony"

"Kid have you... Oh hey reindeer games you've got a visitor"

"Who?" He asked

"Just come and see"

Jade and Loki followed Tony out into the lounge and saw an old man in gold armour and holding gold staff.

"Odin?"

"Loki, you are to come home immediately"

"Why?" he asked which seemed to shock Odin

"We had a deal and you broke it"

"It wasn't my fault, they were in danger" said Loki pointing at the team.

"Enough you will return"

"Loki?" said Jade with worry in her eyes, worried she was about to lose her new friend.

"Its okay Jade" said Loki putting a stray hair behind her ear.

Loki turned to his father and said "I'm sorry Odin but I will be staying here. I did not mean to lose control and yes I accept the consequences' of that but I am not leaving"

"One way or the other, you will return, these people mean nothing and are of no importance to you"

"If it wasn't for Jade I would still be a rampaging dragon right now so I would say they are of importance to me, they put their trust in me and I will not break that trust"

"Which one of you is Jade?"

Loki took Jade's hand and pulled her to his side. "This is Jade"

"Is what Loki said true?"

"Yes, it is" replied Jade

"We have the footage if you want to see it" said Tony

"I would" said Odin

"Jarvis the footage" said Tony

The tv screen came on and the CCTV footage came on, It showed Loki losing control and Jade walking up to him and bringing him back and him changing back and Jade helping him out.

"It doesn't change the fact that you broke the deal"

"Enough Odin" said a female voice from behind him

"This is not your concern, Frigga"

"My son is always my concern, and it seems he has found a place here so why do you wish to take him from it?"

"He will return to his cell as per our deal"

"You want to lock him up? No" said Jade sensing Loki's fear.

"You dare challenge me child?"

"You want to take him away, then hell yeah"

"Jade, stop" said Loki "I won't put you in danger again, it shouldn't have happened in the first place"

"No, he stays" said Steve "Loki is an avenger now, you want him, you'll have to go though all of us"

The team all came together to stand up for Loki, even Clint and Bruce.

"What is the meaning of this?" Boomed Thor as he entered the room.

"He wants to take Loki back to Asgard" answered Jade

"On what grounds?"

"He lost control..." answered Odin

"But I brought him back, please let him stay" interrupted Jade

"This is absurd father, Loki will stay here, where I can keep an eye on him"

"Very well but I will be checking in, may the gods help you"

Odin and Frigga walked outside and summoned the Bifrost.

"Well your folks are um...lovely people" said Tony turning to look and Loki and Thor

"This was him on a good day" said Loki

"I meant what I said Loki, you an avenger now" said Steve

"I appreciate that captain an thank you, all of you"

"Like the man said, avenger" said Nat putting a hand on Loki's shoulder and walking away.

Later that night Jade was sleeping soundly in her bed when she was woken up by a scream that rattled her to her very core.

She got out of bed and went into the hallway and saw no one which was good because the bedrooms are soundproof, she followed the sound of the scream to a familiar room. The same room she had decorated, Loki's room. She knocked on the door but got no response so she tried to listen in but all she heard was a heart beating very fast.

She opened the door and saw Loki tossing and turning in his bed, he was having a nightmare. Jade went over to him, but was weary encase there was a barrier, but strangely there wasn't. Jade put her hand on Loki's shoulder and shook him, he wouldn't wake up so Jade sat next to him on his bed and started to sing a song to help him relax, as he did he shifted positions, he put his head on Jade's lap and was clutching her legs. Jade stroked his hair as she sang, he seemed to relax and calm down, eventually Jade fell asleep next to Loki.
