Are you asking me out?

(look-a-like!)Loki x reader

Y/B/F - your best friend('s name)

...

"Pass Y/N the tissues, she's crying again." you heard one of your friends say over the sound of your sniffs.

"Y/N, it's the end credits, why are you still crying?!"

"I don't know!" you sobbed, grabbing a handful of tissues and burying your face in them.

"It's because Loki didn't come back, isn't it."

"Well yeah, but also, this is the end of an era! Like the movies have been going on for so long..."

Good old Y/B/F, she always had your back, she got why you were currently crying in the cinema after your third time of seeing Endgame. Being a hardcore Loki fangirl was tough enough, but when he had about five minutes total screen time in Infinity War and Endgame combined? It was all too much. At least there was the fanfic to look forward to.

"Okay, I'm done, I'm done." you insisted, scrunching the tissues up in your hand taking a deep breath.

"Finally! Can we go now? I'm hungry."

"What! How can you be hungry, you just ate a huge tub of popcorn!"

"Hey, it's a three-hour film, that was a long time ago!"

You half listened to your three friends arguing good naturedly, and half concentrated on the guy sat three rows down from you who you'd noticed on the way in. You'd done the biggest, most obvious double take in the world when you'd seen him, because he looked exactly like Loki. Hopefully he hadn't seen you, that would be awkward. During the film you'd completely forgotten about him, but now, as he turned his head to talk to his friend, you were yet again blown away by the likeness between him and Loki. Then, suddenly, him and his friend were turning around and looking right at you.

Oh, shit! You turned to try and join your friends' conversation, but it was too late, the two guys were already grinning and turning back around; they'd definitely seen you. Damnit.

"Were you just checking out that guy Y/N?"

You laughed, slightly louder than necessary. "What? No! I was not."

"Yes because that sounded really innocent. Come on, I need to stretch my legs and eat some proper food."

Following your friends out of the screen, you obstinately looked in the other direction as you walked past your Loki look-a-like and his friend, and ignored the giggles and nudges from your friends, feeling yourself go bright red in spite of yourself. What was this, fourth grade?

Outside you reprimanded your friends, and then waited outside while they all went into the loo. You didn't need to go; you were certain all the liquid in your body had come out through your eyes during the last three hours. Speaking of which, you should probably just go into the loo and sort out your makeup in a mirror; it was probably smeared all over your face.

After sorting out the mascara streaks all down your cheeks, you walked back out into the foyer with your friends, but immediately froze when you saw Loki and his friend stood five metres away. He turned around, saw you, and started walking over, with his friend in tow.

"Oh my god! Y/N, be cool." Y/B/F hissed, and then smiled charmingly as the two guys approached your group. Y/B/F and the others swarmed Loki's friend, while Loki came directly to you. To say you were blushing would have been a huge understatement.

"Hi there." Loki said, smiling.

Oh wow. He had really pretty eyes.

"Hey, I'm Y/N." you returned with a smile, holding out a hand. Ugh, why had you just done that.

He shook your hand with a grin.

"Hi Y/N, I'm Josh."

You'd half expected him to tell you his name was Loki.

"Nice to meet you! And listen, about earlier, I promise I'm not a creep, it's just that you look so like-"

"Loki? Yeah, I get that a lot." he cut across you with another grin.

"Oh, okay, so can we establish that I'm not a weirdo?" you laughed in relief.

"Of course, for now, but I think I might need a bit more evidence to prove that you're not a creep." he told you, his eyes almost glittering.

For a moment you didn't get it, but then you realised...

"Are you asking me out?" you asked incredulously, grinning.

"Well, that depends on what the answer would be if I were to ask you out."

"That would be a yes."

He chuckled, and pulled a pen out of his pocket.

"Here..."

He took your hand in his and carefully wrote his number along the side of your thumb.

"Call me okay? We'll arrange a time and place."

"Okay, see you." you smiled, feeling elated. You'd just been asked out by a complete stranger! And he was really nice!

He walked away with his friend, and you saw that Y/B/F also had a number scrawled on her hand.

"They totally came over here with a plan!" she squealed when she saw your hand.

"Sure they did, but hey, I'm not complaining!" you replied.

You'd basically scored a date with Loki himself. Not bad for a trip to the cinema.
