After we both had gotten a late start, we sat around being lazy not doing anything in particular. Which aggravated me, it was a beautiful day and we were wasting it in Asgard inside Loki's room. Yes, the atmosphere was quite green but not the green that I wanted- plant life. You can't always get what you want. I sat up and walked over to Loki's bookshelves looking for a book on something that would help me have somewhat of an idea of what we should do with our boredom. Finally discovering it, I walked over to Loki and sat on his lap, making him distracted from the book he was rereading for the fourth time since we woke up. "Hey honey, I have an idea of what we can do today."

"Hmm?" He wasn't listening

"Loki?" Still nothing, so I stood and got ready for the activity I had planned. Coming out of the bathroom with a cover up on and a towel under my arm, I headed for the door, "See you later Loki!" I waved

He finally noticed and called out, "Wait, where are you going?" 

"Out. Want to come?"

"Where?" He asked suspiciously

"A place where there is water, fun, and sun." 

"Give me five minutes." 

We were ready to go and headed towards the BiFrost. Heimdall sent us to my disclosed location. Arriving at a fairly empty beach in Hawaii, Loki looked around and squinted at the sun. 

"Midgard?" I nodded, "What is this place?"

"A beach. That's the ocean."

"Hmmm..."

"What? You don't like?" 

"No of course I like you, it's just this large body of water is occupied by various creatures I'd rather not get to know."

"You said the same things about Midgardians and look at you now."

"Yes, I'm dating one."

"C'mon relax, let's go in and cool off." I laid the towel out in the sand and slipped off my cover up, Loki was strangely quiet so I turned toward him seeing if he was okay. He was but he was staring, I rolled my eyes and walked to the light blue water enjoying the coolness of it in the hot sun. "Are you coming or are you going to sit there gawking?" I joked and he shook his head

"Uh yes of course. I've just never seen you looking like this."

"It's a bathing suit Loki, it's not like I'm naked. Or in lingerie." I made a face at the thought of any of those options. And Loki laughed. 

Taking off his shirt and wading into the water, I splashed him and swam further out into the ocean playing a game of keep-away. Loki was smiling at first but soon got frustrated with how I kept evading him so he made a couple copies of himself to confuse me but it didn't work. So finally he decided to dive underwater and pretend to be a sea creature in order to get close enough to grab me. 

"Aw, dammit Loki. You had to cheat didn't you?" 

"If I want something I'm going to get it no matter what." I rolled my eyes at this statement, no, if he wanted something and whining didn't do a damn thing he would resort to trying to trick people. Either way he didn't handle not getting his way very calmly or quietly. He nuzzled my neck and then I remembered, I forgot to put on sunscreen. 

"Loki, let go I need to do something."

"Yes, you want to run away. Not happening."

"Loki, c'mon let me go! I have to put on sunscreen."

"What's that?"

"Sunscreen is something you put on your skin so it doesn't burn."

"No, I know what it is. What is that?" He pointed to a dorsal fin sticking up out of the water.

"Loki that's a shark. And he's coming our way. Let's go!" Loki picked me up and turned into a dolphin, quickly swimming towards the shore with me holding onto his dorsal fin. We soon lost the shark after he gave chase for a few more feet. Loki turned back into himself and I started putting on sunscreen that I bought from a shop not too far away. Loki insisted he help so he was getting my back and the back of my neck and then I did the same for him. I doubt he would have needed the sunscreen but he decided to use it anyway. 

Overall it had been a great day of fun in the sun (and water) with very little snags. I hoped that Loki and I could go here again as the BiFrost zipped us back to Asgard and back to our reading.
