'Quality' Time With Luna (S1 E5)

It's around midnight-ish and Loki is asleep in his cell, laying just underneath the bench. I hang from the cylinder shaped lights. Yes, they are burning into my skin, but Loki is just so beautiful when he sleeps...

I think I can bear the pain for him. Even so, tears stream down my face, but because I'm upside down, they trail down my forehead and plop onto the floor. Stupid tears. They're blocking my vision of Loki!

I get so annoyed that I don't notice I'm slipping. When I do, it's too late. I fall, screaming loudly, flapping my undersized wings in desperation.
I slam into the cold, hard ground for what seems like the millionth time this week.

Loki jolts up, hitting his head on the underside of the bench with a grunt. He slides out and puts a hand on his head, scowling at me. I'm still face planted on the ground. I'm not planning to get up anytime soon, either.
Loki's eyes run over my burns. He gives me a look. "What have you been doing, quim? Is it daytime already?" He asks in a husky tone.

"What is a quim?" I inquire, my voice muffled into the ground. "Is it some kind of ice cream?"

"Wh- no!" Loki face palms and stares at me, before rolling his eyes. "Get up," he orders.

"You're not the boss of me," I answer, turning my head side on to look at him, so one side of my face is still on the floor. I stick my butt in the air.

"I am a god, you dull creature!" Loki raises his voice, "And I will not be talked back to like that."

"Oh my gods, that's how we communicate!" I exclaim, jumping up. For a moment, we both fall silent. "Alright, fine. No pudding for you," I mutter, turning around and making my way to the doors with a slight limp because of the burns.

"Wait, no! You can't do that!" Loki yells after me.

"I am a pegasus, you puny god!" I shout, turning around. I don't notice the doors open behind me. Loki's face falls at whatever is standing behind me, but I don't care. "And I will not be bullied by-"

"Miss Assface," says a regal, almost shouting voice. The force of the noise blows my mane back.

It doesn't scare me.

Instead, my face goes red, left eye twitching furiously. I whizz around and scream back at whoever it is. "AHSJEFHFHVDBFT! DON'T YOU FLUCKING DARE CALL ME BY MY LAST NAME YOU LITTLE-"

I stop when I realise it's Princess Luna. She raises an eyebrow. My eyes widen as I cower back. "Er, uh... thought you were... someone else?" I say pathetically.

"Who, might I ask?" She says, her long, dark mane flowing down her side. Loki stays silent and still, his eyes flicking once from Luna to me. Freaking spectator.

"Um... heheheh.... someone.... you don't like?" I plaster an unnaturally toothy grin over my face.

"Oh, her," Luna mutters, "Yes, I was always considering overthrowing her and making myself princess."

"Uh, WHAT!?" I cry, looking at her wide eyed.

She narrows her eyes at me and presses her lips together. "We be not talking about the same pony, are we?" She says blankly.

I hear an "ehehehehehehehehe" from Loki, but ignore it. "I don't think so," I reply.

Luna looks me up and down. "Heavens, child, what happened to thee?" She says worriedly, taking note of my burns.

"Oh, you know. Crawled out of hell. Anyways, what are you doing here, Princess?" I inquire, cocking my head to the side.

"Well, Rosie... I hath known thee for a while," she stays, stepping closer to me, "Ever since thee were brought to the Canterlot castle all those years ago as a filly,"  she pulls my small frame closer to her with a dark wing.

"Personal space much?" I mutter, but she ignores my remark.

"I was always jealous of my sister for many things, one of them was the fact that when Nightmare Moon came, Luna could not stay by you and take care of you," Luna says.

"I'm touched, really, but-"

"But now that I hath finally returned, we shalt spend some bonding time together, yes?"

"Uh... yeah... sure," I answer, leaning away from her as she sticks her face in mine.

"Glorious!" She cries, pulling me closer. "I shall prepare the bonding t-shirts now!" she shouts, using the royal Canterlot peasant voice. Roughly, I'm thrown to the ground.
Luna's horn glows, and with a bright flash, she disappears.

"Well, that was... interesting," I sigh, slowly bring myself up by flapping my wings.

"I like her," Loki comments.

"You can have her," I reply, "Why is she even up at this hour?"

"Why are you up at this hour?" Loki replies.

"Why are you up at this hour?" I repeat.

"Because you woke me!" He answers.

"No, I didn't," I lie.

"Yes, you did."

"You're very stubborn," I smirk.

"You're very stubborn," Loki repeats with a grin.

"I see what you did there," I laugh, pointing a hoof at him. "Looks like we're gonna have to keep this argument... Low-key," I say the terrible pun. I pull black sunglasses from my mane, sliding them onto my face, flapping my wings to fly backwards.

"I'm afraid I don't understand," Loki murmurs, sitting back down on his bench.

I wander around the palace until I pass out in a hallway somewhere.

When I wake up, it's 4am (I'm psychic) and there's something- or rather, someone- sleeping next to me and keeping me warm, their breathing steady. It's bigger than me, definitely. My head turns to see that it's Luna. Wait, what?! "What the biscuit?" I exclaim, leaping away from her.

She stirs and smiles at me. "Good morning, sister," she says in a loving tone. "Doth thou like mine t-shirts I hath made?"

"T-shirts?" I echo, a confused look across my face, before I look down to see I'm now wearing a white shirt with a picture of Luna smiling next to me sleeping. "AH!" I scream. I slowly lift my gaze to the princess. "When did you make these?" I ask incredulously, noticing she also has a similar shirt.

"When I said I would. I went straight to work, but then I realised I needed a picture of thou and I together, so I went to go find thou, but thee looked so peaceful and beautiful when thy sleep," Luna explains, a look of adoration in her eyes.

"O-kay," I say warily, slowly backing away.

"Did I ever tell thee that thy hair smells of apricots?" Luna says randomly.

My eyes widen, pupils shrinking in fear. "Uh... I don't think you did," I reply, "Um, you know, uh... I think these shirts are really swell and all," I stammer.

"Oh, I am glad thou liked them!" Luna squees.

"Yeah, but... Don't you think this is a little... creepy?" I force the words out. Maybe now I know what it's like to be in Loki's shoes.

Or boots. Or whatever he wears. But human shoes are very uncomfortable and hard to walk in. What are they hiding in shoes, anyway?

"Creepy? None of the sort!" Luna exclaims, stepping forwards while I continue to back away

I clear my throat. "You... you know what? Uh... I just... just hold on a second because I'm gonna be right back. I need some... water! Some water. So just... stay there," I say, stepping back. I turn tail and run.

"Okay, sister Rosie! I shalt wait right here," she calls after me.

I wriggle out if the shirt as I make my escape, and notice a red blinking light on the collar. Oh crap, did she put a tracking chip in there?

Geez, and I thought I was possessive.

Hey, I wonder what Loki's doing right now...
