Previously on the legend of Korra  

Mako carries the team on his shoulders  and beat the other team here watch

he beats them all the end.

The water guy was kicked out of the team. I didn't want to write that part cause I'm lazy. and he was useless to the story.

And now 

Back in the locker rooms Mako and Bolin were getting out of their gear with Nathan and Korra waiting by the side.

Korra: Anyway I've taught bending my entire life, but I've never seen anything like that is it like a whole new style think you can teach me?.

she said turning to Bolin.

Bolin: Sure i can show you the ropes 

Mako: I don't think now the time for this.

He jumped in.

Bolin: Oh right, ok i can show you the basics but i don't know, I'm just not sure how my Earthbending would translate to your Waterbending. But we'll figure it out." he said.

Nathan: I wouldn't call the kettle black just yet Bolin cause she's an earth bender

Bolin: wait I didn't mean it like that it's just she's in water tribe get up, she a tribe girl, uh I mean

Korra intervened to stop him from going any further.

Korra: It's alright Bolin he's just messing with and yeah your right I'm a water bender

She said with a smirk.

Bolin who holding a puzzled look on his trying to figure it out it was then mako closed his locker and joined.

Mako: she's the avatar.

Nathan: Yep. 

Mako: and I'm an idiot"

Nathan: you like saying the obvious don't you? 

He sent a small glare but was interrupted by Korra who was laughing at him.

Mako: You know what, it's getting late. I think I'm gonna turn it in. You kids have fun. 

As he talks, he walks away but pauses to look back at Korra. 

Mako: Nice to meet you, Avatar Korra.

Korra: Yeah, been a real pleasure.

Mako: See you upstairs bro.

Nathan: Upstairs? You guys live here? that's so awesome!.

Bolin: Yup. In the attic. It's nothing fancy, but we have some great views. So, back to bending, why don't you try this combo one more time?.

Korra takes her Pro-bending stance again and throws a pair of disk-launching punches. They strike the net perfectly just like Bolin's demonstration, and Korra pumps her fists with victory and takes on a thrilled expression.

Korra exhales angrily, clenching her fists, and makes another reckless dash at the Airbending Gates. She gets into the thick of the Gates when she once again slams into one, getting pushed into a spin that ricochets her around several more panels. 

Tenzin: Patience, Korra.

Nathan: Come on you got this! just breath and let your body move on instinct.

You shouted trying to supporting her. but it didn't really amount to nothing as she raged and destroyed the panels around her

Nathan: 0_0 well that's no god"

Tenzin: That was a 2,000-year-old historical treasure. What... what is wrong with you?

Korra: There's nothing wrong with me. I've been practising just like you taught me, but it isn't sinking in, okay? It hasn't clicked like you said it would. 

Tenzin: Korra, this isn't something you can force. If you would only listen to me.

Korra: I have been! But you know what I think? Maybe the problem isn't me. Maybe the reason I haven't learned Airbending yet is that you're a terrible teacher./

Tenzin: Ughh.

Meelo: Yeah, you're a terrible teacher daddy. 

He then runs into the wreckage of the Gates and starts kicking and throwing pieces around with wild glee.

Meelo: Wahh, ahh, ahh!

Tenzin looks down with defeat, but Ikki and Jinora both move as one to solemnly hug him. 

Nathan: Don't worry I'll check on her.

You reassured him and left It is sunset on Air Temple Island, and the Sky Bison are once more circling the sky above the grounds. you arrive to see Korra sitting on the grass floor with her legs dangling off a cliff.

Nathan: Hey there tiger how are you feeling? 

Korra: what do you think

Nathan: ok I think we need to talk what was that? 

Korra: what was what

Nathan: you destroying everything I know pent up emotional outburst when I see them.

Korra: huh I feel like I'm making no progress ya know I'm giving it my all and can even blow a leaf it just.

Nathan: this is the first time you've come across a struggle right?

you noticed her eyes going wide meaning you were right.

Nathan: it's the basic reaction when you've had it easy all your life mastering all 3 elements but when faced with a wall you'll try to break it down instead of climbing over.

Korra: then what do I do

Nathan: get back up and do it again no matter how hard things are Tenzin will be there you just have to believe in yourself saying things like I don't get it will mean you already fail you ave to say I'm want to understand or I know what not to do keep your positive mindset Korra. 

Korra:...

Nathan: and plus your strong so there no need to frown a smile is much better on your face," 

you said with a wholehearted smile. Korra could feel her cheeks heat up the longer she stared at you so she got up and prepared to leave 

Korra: th-thank you for saying that really that helped.

Nathan: No prob I'm here if you want to talk.

Mako: Hasook's a no-good no-show!

Pro-bending Referee: You have two minutes to come out ready to play or you're disqualified.

Mako: Well, there goes our shot at the tournament... and the winnings.

Nathan: Can't you ask one of those guys to fill in?

Bolin: Nah, the rules say you can only compete on one team.

Nathan: 'what if!' Well, then... how about her she's a top-notch Waterbender second to me obviously.

Bolin: But, you're the Avatar. Isn't that cheating?

Korra: smirk It isn't cheating if I only do Waterbending.

Mako: No way. I'd rather forfeit than look like a fool out there.

Pro-bending Referee: peaking through the door, speaking quickly Times up. You in or out

Nathan: answering quickly We're in.

Mako interjects

Mako: We are?.

Nathan: you are.

Korra & Bolin: immediately pumping his fists Yes!

Mako: Hey, I didn't agree to this.

Nathan: did I ask!?

Korra: You can thank me later.

Mako: This is crazy.

Nathan moves over to the balcony to see The Fire Ferrets taking the field.

Shiro Shinobi: Looks like the Fire Ferrets have ferreted out a last-minute replacement Waterbender. 

Korra is adjusting her pads, which are obviously too big for her 

Shiro Shinobi: Let's see if she's another diamond in the rough like the brothers from the school of hard knocks.

Mako: Don't do anything too fancy or aggressive. In fact, don't do anything. Just try not to get knocked off the ring."

Korra: You got it, captain.

 her helmet sags to cover her eyes, and she pushes it back up

Pro-bending Referee: Players, are you ready?

The camera peaks at his fellow players, who look surprised and upset. A quick look at Mako and Bolin shows the older brother face-palming. Jumping with fists raised victoriously in the air starts running in a circle.

Korra: Woo-hoo, man overboard!

Nathan: She's so happy but doesn't know the rules oh that's adorable.

Pro-bending Referee: blows whistle Fire Ferret Waterbender penalty. Move back one zone.

Korra: What? Why?

Nathan: You're only allowed to knock players off the back of the ring, not over the sides!

Korra: Oh... whoops. 

she says with a sly smile 

Korra: it's okay Korra i believe in you, you got this. 

You shouted make her pumped as she slams her fists together.

Korra moves back to zone two as the player she knocked out returns to his team's first zone. The bell rings to start the game again.

The crowd gasps in the darkened stands. Play stops as the Platypus Bears stare in shock. The referee's whistle blows as Korra looks around warily.

Pro-bending Referee: Foul... I think? 

There was silence among the crowd only to be broken by you "It's NOT A FOUL BECAUSE THERE ARE NO RULES AGAINST THE AVATAR IN THE BOOK! DUMBASS!"

Shiro Shinobi: from radio Hold on folks, we're just waiting for the refereeís official call as the team go back to their sides, but it looks like the avatar has entered pro-bending!.

The referee steps forward to speak to the players and crowd.

Pro-bending Referee: The Avatar will be permitted to continue, so long as she solely bends water.

The crowd cheers.

As the team waits for the referee to call them back Tenzin walks in with a furious look. 

Korra: Oh, hey Tenzin. I thought you didn't like coming to these matches, haha." she says avoiding eye contact.

Tenzin: Once again you have flagrantly disobeyed my orders. You were to stay on the island. Let's go.

He turns around to lead Korra away but she refuses.

Korra: No, I'm kind of in the middle of something.

Tenzin: I have tried my very best to get through to you by being gentle and patient, but clearly the only thing you respond to is force! So I am ordering you to come back to the temple, right now!

Korra: Why so I can sit around and meditate on how bad I am at Airbending!? You know, I'm beginning to think there is a reason I haven't been able to learn it!. Because maybe I don't even need it!

Tenzin: What? That is a ludicrous suggestion! The Avatar needs to learn Airbending it is not optional!

Korra: No, this

She motions back towards the playing field, while the sounds of Pro-bending are audible "is what I need to learn: modern styles of fighting.

Tenzin: Being the Avatar isn't all about fighting, Korra. When will you learn that?

Korra: she turns around "I have a match to go finish." Korra walks to the elevator that will take her back up to the playing field.

Ring Announcer: The two teams are lined up and the bells ring. Round three!

Tenzin was about to turn and leave but you got in front of him

Tenzin: heavy sigh Nathan please move,

he asked with a polite tone despite his previous argument 

Nathan: yeah how about no and you listen to me!

He was clearly surprised by your assertive tone as he remained silent to let you speak.

Nathan: maybe Korra has yet to understand air bending maybe she disrespected you but you yourself are not that supportive your a mentor, not a warden you cant have her remain on the island to train 24/7 you need to be more flexible and supportive you act like this is the most important thing ever, like your always correct but your father even had fun when the world was in danger, Tenzin there is nothing to prove so turn down the shape and come and watch your student grow at her own pace.

A/N- does what i wrote above make sense this is to make him more likeable because to me he's been trying to live up to an image of his dad when he should be himself I'm trying to give him character development I'm not sure if what I'm doing is great or not.    

Tenzin: I see

Shiro Shinobi:(radio guys voice) the platypus bears all attack the avatar but hit nothing but air as they get weaker with every second and who is that cheering in the crowd it looks like a young man oh he's looking at and doing a hand gesture that i can not for the love of me see because he is too far away oh what's this? it seems he's a water bender he's bending it into the hand gesture and I have been offended oh and what's this?!

referee: KNOCK OUT!

Tenzin: Woohoo!... please don't tell anyone about this

Nathan: about what,

Tenzin: about my reaction.

The scene changes to Air Temple Island. A half-moon is lighting up the night sky. The windows on the main temple and tower are lit. The restored panels are being re-installed on their spinners by Air Acolytes while Tenzin watches. Korra walks up to him from behind.

Korra: I'm really sorry, about everything I said. I was really frustrated with myself and I took it out on you.

Tenzin: I think I owe you an apology too. I was trying to teach you about patience but I lost mine.

Korra: No hard feelings?

Tenzin: Of course not. By the way, you were really good out there tonight. You moved just like an Airbender.

Korra: Wait, you stayed and watched?.

Tenzin: I did thanks to Nathan that is. 

He says gesturing to you as you were walking away toward the island

Korra: smiles 'I guess I owe him two favours then Nah just the one'

Korra: I'll see you tomorrow for Airbending practice, bright and early. 

She turns around as she jogs 

Korra: And, by the way, I kind of permanently joined the Fire Ferrets and we're playing in the tournament in a couple of weeks.

Tenzin: exhales I guess that won't be a bad thing so long as she comes to training.
