On Air Temple  Island running in a forest was Bumi chasing his bunny spirit friend.

Bumi: Come back, Bum-Ju!

Bum-Ju hovers on top of a branch extending outwards. Bumi climbs up the tree trunk and onto the branch Thats hanging off the edge of a cliff.

Bumi: If you don't wanna wear the sweater I made you, that's fine. I'm sorry I got mad.

He pulls out a pink sweater and the branch begins to bend downwards from Bumi's weight.

Bumi: Bum-Ju, I'm running out of trees. Can we go down now?.

He says hanging on a thin branch trying to gain Bumjums attention. The branch starts to fully break, lowering Bumi as it does. 

Bum-Ju thrills and bites the back of Bumi's military coat but his arms slip out of the coat, causing him to fall.

Bumi: Ah! Ahh!

He closes his eyes and swigs his arms before landing and float on a small tornado.

Bumi: Look! I'm airbending. 

He loses focus and falls.

Bumi: Ow! Wow, that still hurt a lot.

Elsewhere in republic city Korra, Tenzin and Jinora are walking through a Vine infested area. Korra blasts the vies away with fire but they grow back just as quick.

Korra: Ugh!  I don't get it! I can vanquish Vaatu, but not a bunch of stupid vines?

She growls and walks away from the two.

Tenzin: I'm sure you'll find a way.

Jin: Why do you want to get rid of them you changed the world were connected with them you brought balance back to the world.

She says petting a small spirit animal on her lap. Korra smiles wryly at this and sighs.

Korra: It's not me Jinora it's the people who aren't happy with this.

She turns back and begins walking out of the Vine forest with a  frown

Korra: I don't want to face the press but I have to.

Tenzin: If you'd like I can go and deal with them for you.

Korra: No if you do then I won't have anything else to do today.

She lifts her staff and Air bends flying away. Tenzin and Jinora both share a small look of concern between themselves and sigh. Korra lands in front of the mayor building where the conference was being held upon landing A reporter immediately spoke up.

Female Reporter: Why are you forcing the integration of spirits in Republic City?

Korra: *places a hand on her chest* Listen, I've been trying everything I can think of to get rid of these vines, but-

Before she could finish her sentence another reporter interrupts.

Male Reporter: Why can't you fix this?

And another.

Male Reporter: Are the vines here to stay?

Female Reporter: Is this part of your New World Order?

Korra: *frustrated* Look! Harmonic Convergence was just a couple of weeks ago. I just need a little more time to get everything back to normal.

Suddenly Raiko spoke on the podium beside her.

Raiko: The Avatar has put us all in a very difficult position, but my administration-

Korra: Oh! I'm sorry. Did I put you in a difficult position by fighting the giant force of Pure Evil that was going to destroy the whole World? Maybe your administration could've handled that! 

Raiko and Korra glare at each other. Korra wasn't going to let this slide after all she felt she lost more than intended and hearing anything somewhat dismissive or negative to the fight was to her making it seem worthless.

Lin: That's all! No more questions!

Lin jumps in before things escalate and stops their conference Mayor Raiko grunts and turns back into his building and the journalist left, the remaining was Korra.

Korra: 'I could really use you about now Nathan.'

Bumi Runs across the training ground and stops in front of Ikki huffing looking tired.

Bumi: You are not going to believe what just happened where is your father?

Ikki: DAAD!

She bellows across the ground and right after that Tenzin burst through the door with Kya.#

Tenzin: What!?.

Bumi: You are not going to believe what just happened, so Bum Ju and I got into a fight over the sweater I wanted to nit for him and I fell!.

Tenzin:...Right.

Bumi: No wait look I fell off the branch and saved myself, I CAN AIR BEND!

he thrust both pals forward and nothing happened.

Bumi: No wait seriously I did it hu! *He pushes* Hya! *He kicks* wait maybe if I Ha!

He jumps kicking the air and falls on his butt.

Time flies and soon everyone is gathered at the diner table beside's Korra Bumi still waves his hands trying to prove he can air bend but the only thing happening was Tenzin scolding him. Eventually, Korra walks in.

Korra: *to Bolin* What's up with him?

Bolin: Oh he said he can air bend earlier but he can't now, Oh I have to thank you for inviting me to dinner with you guys it would've been just me and Asami since Mako's on duty but it'd be too quiet in the mansion I gotta say I love this family You got the grumpy dad. 

Tenzin: *Fuming*

Bolin: The wacky uncle.

Bumi: *Trying to do something* Ugh!

Bolin: The put upon mom.

Pema doesn't do anything but holds a sleeping Rohan in her arms.

Bolin: The crazy kids

Bolin: Oh this is great all you need is Nathan who is the sorta father slash brother figure... Yikes.

He dips his head down as the atmosphere drops everyone looks at the table somewhat remorseful.

Jinora: I miss him.

Korra: Me too. But he wouldn't want us to sulk over him, not like this.

Tenzin: She's right Nathan is a remarkable young man with very few qualities you'll find in others.

Ikki: He's a great chef.

Meelo: He's not that funny but has his moments.

Bolin: He can keep up with me and Korra on our banter and quips for like ever.

Asami: He's supportive and kind.

Meelo: He always finds me in every time we play hide and seek it's not fair.

Ikki: Pft hehe what about when he backed cookies for Asami's new mansion and made spare ones and you tried to steal one and then we all tried to take one and eat and he made those taste terrible just to stop us. And hid the real ones somewhere he said we'd never find.

Meelo: I still haven't.

He pouts crossing his arms and the others chuckle at this.

Kya: He's with the best healers in water tube history he'll make a full recovery in no time.

Meelo: Can you promise that?

Kya: I...

Korra: I can. He will come back to us.

Bumi: Ha! look I made the napkin move!

Kya: You blew on it.

Bumi: Hmm wait maybe it can only happen when I'm in danger bend a giant bolder at me.

Pema: Absolutely not! If you're going to do that do it outside.

Tenzin: No ones bendig giant boulders!

Just as He was disagreeing with it Meelo grabbed his plate with a playful grin.

Meelo: Look alive uncle Bumi! 

He throws it at his face in reflex Bumi pushes his hands causing the plate in mid-air to be trapped in a ball of air.

Everyone had jaw-dropping looks.

Bumi: See I told you!

Kya:...

Tenzin: Unbelievable.

Bumi: Wait till I tell mum she's gonna love this!

While they were trying to understand what was happening in the City reports of Airbenders have reached the ears of Mako as he sets off to find the truth to the claims.

In a dark place inside his own mind, Nathan's body floats unresponsive just like his real body.

Nathan: 'Why is it so dark? in here? wait I've been through this before...'

???: Wake up Nathan~

A sweet yet and familiar voice calls out to him making his body jerk. His eyes snap in a panic and he finds himself in his shared room with Korra. She looked at him cutely confused.

Korra: Is everything alright you don't look so hot?

Nathan: I was in a dark place wait Vaatu! is this real? is this a dream what going on!?

Nathan sprawled out of the bed in a panic just as he did Korra pulled him back into bed and locked lips with him he wanted to turn and go where? he couldn't remember it faded the more he melted into the kiss.

Korra: Does this feel like a dream?.

Nathan: Haha yeah it doesn't I guess I was panicking I thought I got hit by that beam before.

Korra: You managed to push us both away remember.

Nathan: Yeah I do.

He smiled embracing her whole. Everything became blurry as he fell asleep. Where he was, trapped in his own mind was something he couldn't escape. Outside of his consciousness beyond this prison was Vaatu travelling in what seems an endless sea and sky

Vaatu: this soul is larger than imagined It'll take time to find his core and corrode it.

Moments later little birds made of fire flew towards Vaatu burning him with a fire breath He growled before releasing a wave of darkness pushing them away.

Vaatu: Tsk! As well as having a Fire bender's blood you had manifest as well into these things.

Vaatu: Good thing I have him trapped in his own mind.

Korra had arrived with Bolin and Lin in front of a building tangled with spirit vines. She turned around surprised hearing murmuring but frowned when realising who it was.

Korra: What are you guys doing here?

Raiko: I was alerted that you had a new plan to wipe out these noxious weeds. *Smiles* So I thought you'd want everyone to be here to watch.

Male Reporter: Avatar Korra! Do you really think-

Korra: No questions! Just stand there. Silently!

Korra walks forward. Her eyes close and open flashing white in the Avatar State. Korra begins to move her arms in a circular motion. Two streams of water come out from the river and head up towards the vines. They circle the apartment complex in a double spiral.

She raises her hands as the water begins to glow and the vines begin to retreat completely into the water along with the water.

Korra: Go in peace. *Exhales* Thank you, Nathan.

Male Reporter: How did you know what to do? 

Male Reporter: Will you send the spirits away now?

Female Reporter: How soon can we expect public water service to resume?

The ground suddenly shakes and the Vines sprout up violently. Korra looks up as vines return to encase the complex. The vines are thicker and more in number this time. It also heads towards another apartment complex on the other side of the bridge inside the building where civilians and a boy looking out the window in shock.

Korra: Lookout!

Lin and Bolin run to the collapsing complex and they earth bend two support pillars to stop it from falling. Korra bursts the door down with airbending facing the citizens on the first floor

Korra: Let's go, people. Hurry!

They do so and she opens her glider and flies up. She lands on a vine where the little boy from before looks out the window. Korra extends a hand to the boy and she gazes up,  looking up as part of the roof tears away from the building and starts to fall. The boy jumps into Korra's arms.

Korra: Hang on!

The boy holds tightly as she jumps down with her glider in hand and lands. Korra lets go of him and using her airbending catch the falling roof as the citizens scramble. She slowly lowers her hands in an attempt to set the roof down as gently as possible. The roof makes contact with the ground with a thud. Bolin and Lin walk up to Korra. 

Bolin: I think that could've gone better.

Lin: It's better than letting it fall and hurt the people. But sadly...

She trails the citizens who all look to Korra as to blame her.

Lin: They're thankful now but then turn on you.

At the same spot, Nathan took her Korra was leaning back on a tree outlooking the cliff in front behind her was Asami.

Korra: I know you guys are there your terrible at sneaking.

Asami: Sorry I heard this is where you go when your upset.

Asami sits down next to her overlooking the same view.

Asami: So do you want to talk about Nathan.

Korra: I'm scared we might never see each other.

Asami:...

Korra: I don't know If I'm handling this right, the first week I was up North I was crying myself to sleep and in the day I'd only stay by his side or out of his room.

Asami: When I lost my mother I went through something similar I had my father help me through it wasn't easy and the feeling doesn't leave me.

Korra:... I know He wouldn't want me to sulk every time but I feel like If I Pretend everything alright.

They both stay quiet for a moment the only sound heard was that of the wind and waves. 

Asami: It feels like your moving on and giving up hope.

Korra: Exactly. I don't think I'll get used to this feeling and I don't know how long until I'll break.

Korra: You know, I've never had a girlfriend to hang out with and talk to before, except for Naga or Nathan. Thanks for coming here.

Asami: What are friends for right?.

She gets up smiling and pats her shoulders before leaving.

Nathan: I'm going to have to travel further from you to find the new airbenders.

An area with various peaks and cliffs at the centre an intricate metal prison littered with the beaten bodies of white lotus members. The guards immediately groan in pain and one gets up in shock realizing they're in the cage. 

White lotus guard: You'll never get away with this Zaheer!

White Lotus Guard: You'll pay for killing Avatar Aang when the others come you'll be hunted down!.

The guard shouts but he doesn't react as expected, he smiles.

Zaheer: It's the dawning of a new age, the end of the White Lotus, and soon, the end of the Avatar permanently I won't fail as I did with Aangthis time the cycle will be no more.

Zaheer turns away and walks to the edge and looks down into the void below. Without hesitation, Zaheer leaps off the edge. He slowly makes his way down by jumping on the various ledges scattered along the cliff face while using airbending to cushion his falls.
