Logan couldn't believe what this crazy doctor was telling him. "Excuse me." He spoke bluntly and coldly, catching the doctor off guard. He seemed so polite before but she was sure someone saying the love of your life might die is a solid reason to change your tone. "Again, I'm so terribly sorry sir. You check on the heart scans yourself." Logan shook his head.
He stood up, adjusting his glasses as if he knew more medical stuff than an actual medical professional. "Not necessary, it was a crash. He'll live, you're being dramatic." Needless to say, Logan was incorrect in this statement and boy, the doctor let him know that fact. "Yes but as previously stated, they were speeding. The impact was huge, all the bones you can think of were broken including ribs and spines."
Logan hummed in response, tapping the side of his leg. His eyes were once again glued to Patton's unconscious form. God, he hoped he was right. "We even took x-rays, one of the ribs is unbelievable close to puncturing his heart which is impossible to fix without surgrey and that would be difficult too since he would have to be completely still, even on the journey to the operating room."
The doctor continued as Logan glanced up at her. "He also lost a lot of blood, a lot of people tripped while walking down the sidewalk and some cars even crashed from the large trail of blood he leftbehind. He's not incurable but there's a high chance he won't make it." She added in the last part to make Logan more mad than he already was. Well, too late for that.
His hands squeezed into tight fist, so tight in fact his knuckles were now right. The doctor was surprised, he had seemed calm and collected previously. What shocked her even more though is what he said next. "Show me." He spoke though gritted teeth. Her eyes widened in disbelief. "Huh?" She was sure she had heard him wrong. Apparently though, she hadn't.
"Show me the x-rays and photos of pools of blood then I'll believe you." She couldn't believe what she was hearing. Their conversation was temporarily put on hold as loud footsteps echoed down the hall. They both turned toward the door expectedly. The footsteps became louder and louder until the door burst open, revealing a panicked Roman and Virgil.
"Oh my God! Pat!" Virgil rushed to Patton's side. A panicked looking Roman ran up to Logan and the doctor. "Is he ok? What happened?" Logan let out a sigh of relief. Roman took a deep breath and got himself under control so he didn't have a full blown panic attack. "Roman, Virgil, thank god. please tell this doctor that she is dramatizing this situation excessively."
Logan gestured towards the doctor who had gotten over her shock. She had her arm folded, Roman raised an eyebrow, silently asking Logan to continue. "Apparently, Patton has an unlikely hood of surviving." Logan rolled his eyes at his own comment. He didn't believe the doctor so it meant nothing to him. The other two however were a different story.
Roman's eyes widened before glancing behind Logan. "H-he what?" Logan turned around to see Virgil kneeled next to Patton's hospital gurney. He had tears that were beginning to steam down his face. Virgil, the strong and sometimes even imtaiding man, was crying. Roman quickly ran over to embrace his husband, rubbing his back comfortingly.
It obviously he was close to tears as well but stayed strong for his husband. It's at that point that Logan finally came back to his harsh reality, a single tear falling from his eye. He looked back at the doctor with an apologetic expression. "My apologies doctor, my emotions got the best of me and they completely clouded my judgement." She smiled at him. She placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Don't worry, it's completely understan-" Suddenly the door burst open, revealing one of the nurses, panting. How far across the large hostipal did they run? "Miss Jackson! We found the guy!"

685 words.
This is a lot shorter than the other one but that one had a bunch of exposition to do so it's understandable. Hope you like it anyway.
I think I'm going to do two chapters of this every week just because I want to start a book to celebrate pride month.
(I truly do need a proper way to sign off these notes.)
