Locked in a Cage
A lonely dove
Its pure white feathers
Itching to go outside, to see the world
Yet it cannot for its owner has the key
The key to its freedom
So it must wait
Until the owner decide to unlock its cage
And so it stays
Trapped with no way of getting out
Watching hopelessly from its place
Behind metal bars
Seeing the other birds of its owner fly in the sky
The wonderful colors in the sky
Red, yellow, blue, and even black
Looking at them with eyes full of longing
Looking at them with eyes full of hope
Looking at them with eyes full of sadness
All it wants is to fly with them
To soar in the sky
To be free from its cage
Yet it cannot
A/N: I wrote this imagining the birds as emotions. White for purity. Red for anger. Yellow for happiness. Blue for sadness. Black for evil. But this is just me; you guys are free to interpret this poem as you wish.
