A girl and a woman are standing on the terrace of a house in front of a room.

Girl: (Sadly) But aunty how will I go now? You know whole country is now under lockdown. I can't even get at least something for transportation.

Woman: (rudely) Look Ragini... I don't care what is happening in country. I gave you ten days time and it is completed today. I am being good and giving you 24 hours more. I can't bare you at least for a second but still I have given you ten days and now again 24 hours. So be thankful for my big heart and leave before I throw your things and you out of my house.

Saying she goes away not letting Ragini talk anything.

Ragini: (acting to strangle that woman's throat and whispers irritated) Big heart! Thankful! MY FOOT! Ahhhh! I hate this woman. Now where will I go? Ahhh! This Corona!

She stamps her foot and goes inside the single room she stays.

Ragini: Why the hell did I even agree to Sushma on that day? If I haven't agreed I wouldn't have got into trouble now. Huh and my three thousand rupees also are waste. You Buddhu Ragini who the hell pays three thousand for this small irritating room. If I had another option on that day I wouldn't have accepted to Sushma only.

She keeps murmuring to herself pacing to and fro in the room.

Ragini: (irritated) Ahhhh! Ragini stop wasting time and try asking someone for shelter. You have only 23 hours 30 minutes.

She starts calling all her friends who are also her colleagues one by one.

Ragini: Today I understand how Lucky I am!

She pulls her hair in irritation and was about to throw phone too but stops herself thinking of the poor life of mobile phone.

Ragini: Friends done, Project groups people done, now only other colleagues of the office left. Hope some one helps me.

She makes a cry face and starts scrolling the contacts. She stops at one number and thinks for few seconds. She taps the 'Call' but immediately cuts the call before it could get connected.

Ragini: I haven't spoken to him much except when it is related to work. Should I continue?

She thinks for few more seconds when her eyes fall on the clock.

Ragini: Mummaaaa only 22 Hours!

Making a crying face she immediately taps the 'Call' again.

On the other side in a flat we see a boy sitting in front of laptop waiting for the video call to get connected. Once the call gets connected before he could speak his mother starts speaking.

Sujatha: (angrily) Once... at least Once... Did you listen to me? No. It was always what you want to. If you had listened to me on that day and came here for the puja then you would be with us here today. And as if it is not enough it has been three days you have called us. What are you doing that you don't get atleast five minutes to talk to us? You are staying at home only right since three days then what's your problem to call us? Speak something damn it!

She shouts at the end.

Ram: If you give him time to speak he will!

He says rolling his eyes. She glares him but slowly her eyes turn teary. The boy gets worried and signs his father to console his mother.

Ram: (taking her into his embrace) Sujatha now why are you crying? You scolded my bechara Sanskar and you are only crying. Isn't it he who should feel sad after getting so many scolding from you?

Sujatha looks at Sanskar who makes a sad face and nods his head. She wipes her eyes and looks at him indicating him to speak.

Sanskar: (controlling his chuckle) First of all I am very sorry mom for not listening to you and not coming there for puja. Now I asked sorry so you will forgive me.

He makes a puppy face. Sujatha smiles lightly and nods. Sanskar and Ram smiles.

Sanskar: Then another sorry for not calling you since three days. I swear I was so busy in office work that I slept these three days while working only. Because of sudden lockdown and all office people are also very confused and scared of the things happening outside that I had to help them in few things regarding work. I am very sorry mom.

He says feeling really sorry that he couldn't talk to his parents since three days.

Sujatha: (concerned) Beta are you eating properly?

She finally understands his situation and gets concerned for him.

Sanskar: (smiles) Yes Mom. I am.

Sujatha sighs in relief. Ram smiles seeing both son and mother.

Sanskar: Are you taking your medicines properly mom?

Sujatha: As if your father lets me live in peace if I won't!

Sanskar smiles while Ram chuckles.

Sanskar: Where is Chote?

He asks looking whole screen.

Sujatha: Playing in his phone!

She says making faces. Sanskar chuckles.

Sanskar: Okay now listen to me carefully. Neither of you will go out of the house. Anything necessary send Chote with a mask and sanitizer. Be careful. Have food properly. I will talk to Chote and please for god sake listen to him if he says something precautionary.

Ram smiles while Sujatha makes faces.

Voice: Don't worry Bhai I will take care.

A person appears in front of the screen covering Sujatha and Ram.

Sujatha: (irritated) Idiot Arjun move!

Arjun makes faces and moves from there while Sanskar smiles.

Sanskar: And you Chote stop playing games and take care of mom and dad.

Arjun: (saluting) Yes Sir!

All the three laugh and Arjun joins their laugh too. At that time Sanskar's phone rings. He frowns looking at the Id.

Sanskar: Mom I will call you again. Take care. Bye.

They bid bye and cut the call. Sanskar receives his phone.

Sanskar: Hello!

Ragini: (stammering) He...llo...

Sanskar: Yes Ragini tell me!

Ragini takes deep breathe and speaks.

Ragini: Actually San...Sanskar I need some help.

Sanskar: Yeah sure. What is it?

Ragini: I need a place to stay. My room owner has asked me to vacate the room in 24 hours. I tried getting help from my friends but couldn't get any. Finally trying from colleagues. So called you. Can you help me in any way Please?

She says everything in one go. Sanskar thinks for few moments and then speaks.

Sanskar: I have only one option. If you are okay with it you may consider it.

Ragini: What's it?

She asks with hope.

Sanskar: If you don't have any problem you can stay with me in my flat. It's a 2BHK flat. But the thing is I stay alone here. It's completely your wish. I assure you all the safety. You can trust me.

He says what he wants to say. Ragini looks around biting her lower lip. She has spoken to him very little that too only for office works. Though both are colleagues for more than 8 months now but they have only professional relation and spoke only professionally. Not that Ragini has any bad opinion on him. She never even heard of him flirting with someone. She felt she can trust him.

Ragini: (in mind) If anything goes wrong also I can show my martial arts and karate skills. For now all I need is Independence from this irritating woman of my life.

She sighs. Sanskar is patiently waiting for her to respond.

Ragini: Okay. Thank You so much for the help Sanskar.

She says whole heartedly.

Sanskar: It's okay. You need anything else?

He asks as now he knows she needs transportation too. Ragini sighs.

Ragini: Transportation!

Sanskar smiles.

Sanskar: Share me the location. Will pick you. Call me when you packed your things.

Ragini: Thank You so much. It's really a great help. Will help you in any of your projects in future.

She says happily for getting the solution. Sanskar chuckles.

Sanskar: Will ask you when needed. For now carry on with your packing. Or should I help you in that also?

Ragini: No... No. I will manage.

She says smiling sheepishly. He smiles and cuts the call saying bye.

Sanskar reaches the place Ragini has shared. He makes a call to her. She comes out of the house.

Ragini: (from terrace) Sanskar!

He looks up. She signs him to come up. He smiles and nods. He enters inside the house and the woman comes out in no time for her enquiry.

Woman: Hello who are you?

Sanskar stops and looks at her. Ragini hits her head and comes down fast.

Ragini: He is my friend. He is here to help me in shifting. Now you have a problem in this too?

She asks making faces.

Woman: (murmurs) Besharam ladki! Now she got boys too into my house.

Ragini wants to reply back but stops thinking not to spoil her mood.

Ragini: Sanskar please don't mind her. Come.

He nods and they goes. That woman follows them. Sanskar helps her to take the things and shift them in to the car. The woman is keenly looking at both of them while RagSan are doing their work silently smiling formally to each other whenever they face. Ragini and Sanskar both went to put some things of Ragini in car and by the time they return Ragini sees the woman touching the vegetables Ragini had placed there.

Ragini: Oh hello don't touch them.

She pulls away the vegetable she is holding.

Woman: (getting caught) I am not stealing them.

Ragini: (smirks) Really?

Sanskar muffles his laugh. Woman looks away. Ragini takes her last few things and moves down the house along with Sanskar. The woman follows them. Ragini turns to her as they reached the gate.

Ragini: My money!

Woman: Excuse me!

Ragini: I won't excuse you. I stayed here just ten days. You took advance of two months. Give them back.

She says rudely.

Woman: I don't need your money. Wait I will get them.

She says rudely and goes out. Ragini acts like punching her from back angrily. Sanskar chuckles. Ragini looks at him and smiles formally. The woman comes back. She forwards money. Ragini counts the money and frowns.

Ragini: What is this?

Woman: Three thousand.

Ragini: I stayed here for only ten days and you want rent for whole month? Or don't you know maths?

She almost screams. Sanskar looks at her with wide eyes.

Woman: Don't shout.

Ragini: You are making me shout. I am still good that I am giving you rent for ten days. Otherwise for all your taunts and insults I should charge compensation from you in return.

Woman fumes and she goes inside and gets the remaining two thousands. Ragini fumes and moves out of the house. Sanskar follows her and takes his driving seat. Ragini gets settled and calms down. Sanskar passes her a bottle of water. She immediately takes and gulps half of the bottle.

Ragini: Thank You!

He smiles and nods. He starts the car while Ragini holds her head controlling her anger. She sighs as she felt relaxed and looks at him who is concentrating on his driving.

Ragini: Sorry!

She whispers audible to him. He looks at her and then at the road back.

Sanskar: For?

Ragini: For the mess!

Sanskar: It's okay!

Ragini smiles.

Ragini: Thank You!

Sanskar: For?

Ragini: For the help!

Sanskar: You already thanked me for that Ragini. I had an option and you are okay with it. I am not doing something big. It is helpful to you. That's what matters for now.

Ragini: It would be less even if I thank you thousand times.

Sanskar: Then do one thing. Write 'Thank You Sanskar' thousand times and gift me that book. Okay?

Ragini looks at him shocked. He looks at her and chuckles looking at the road. Ragini smiles.

Ragini: If you want will type for you and will send you a word document.

Sanskar: Smart! You can copy and paste it easily.

Ragini giggles. He smiles.

Sanskar: Waise what's the problem with the woman? Why is she so rude and adamant to send you?

Ragini: (sighs). A biggg story!

Sanskar: It's okay we have time!

Ragini chuckles.

Ragini: I used to stay in 1BHK flat earlier. The owners of the flat had returned back so asked me to vacate. They used to be so good. They had told me two months earlier. First whole month I was busy in office work and couldn't get any new place. The next month all I got was 2BHK. I thought to go for it but the rents are too high. Not that I have a problem with money and all but I felt like it will be just waste of money because 1BHK is more than enough for me. At that time one of my school friends has told me about her maasi and that maasi is none other than this woman. As already the family are returning I couldn't help but accept this one room. I shifted here just ten days ago. It was all fine till that day evening. That woman came to my room at that night I don't know for what to be honest. She gawked me for a moment and started calling me Characterless and shameless. I didn't understand anything but then when she said that I am wearing such clothes I realised that she has problem with my dress. I was wearing night shorts. That day while going there I was wearing a salwar as it was my birthday and ma papa has gifted me that dress for my birthday. After seeing me like that on that evening she immediately asked me to leave. I requested her for sometime and she gave me ten days saying that one day is already over. I was shocked hearing her but could do nothing than accepting her. But before I could find something this lockdown has come and today the time of ten days got over. Today morning she again started her dramas and gave me 24 hours and you know rest.

Ragini sighs after saying.

Sanskar: Interesting!

He chuckles. Ragini giggles along with him.

Ragini: She is such an irritating woman. She used to taunt everyday seeing me wearing western clothes when I am going to office and coming back from office. According to her the girl who wears salwars or sarees has good character and any girl who wears any western wear is not good.

Ragini huffs. Sanskar nods understanding her.

Sanskar: I have a doubt.

Ragini looks at him.

Sanskar: Why didn't you try any hostels?

Ragini: I stayed in a working women's hostel at the beginning when I joined work. But I fell sick frequently due to food. So Ma Papa aren't okay with me staying in hostel. Even I felt it would be good if I have home made food. So decided to look for any flat or room where cooking is possible.

Sanskar nods. They reach home and both together takes her things inside.

Sanskar: You can use that room. This is mine. Any help just knock on the door. I will help you. Feel at home.

Ragini: Now this is home only.

She chuckles while he joins her.

Ragini: Kitchen?

He points towards kitchen. She looks at the groceries she had with her and takes them there.

Sanskar: Place them on the slab. Will look after them later. For now go rest.

Ragini nods. Sanskar smiles and goes to his room. Ragini goes to the room and looks around. She takes deep breathe and smiles. She takes her phone and dials.

Ragini: Hello ma!

Janaki: Ragini bacha!

Ragini: I shifted to one of my colleagues' flat.

Janaki: Is it safe bacha? I am worried.

She asks worried. Ragini sighs.

Ragini: Ma as far as I know about him, he is good. Don't worry I will deal with it.

Janaki: Pakka?

Shekhar: Janu she will. She is My daughter.

Shekhar who is listening to their talks speaks. Ragini smiles listening her father.

Janaki: Okay bacha. Take care. Keep calling.

Ragini: You both take care ma. Take precautions if you go out for necessary things.

Shekhar: Okay Princess. Don't worry. We will.

Ragini bids bye to her parents and moves out of the room to see Sanskar working sitting on the couch in the hall. She sighs and takes her laptop and sits beside him with a bit distance. Feeling her he looks at her and smiles at her. She smiles back. They both continue their work.
