Leonardo walked through the hallway that morning and stopped at his former room. He then stopped and opened the door ever so slowly and looked in the room to find Liz sleeping soundly in his (also former) bed, Leo knocked on the door molding loudly enough to wake her up, "are you ready to get up?" Liz sat up and remembered everything that had transpired the night before. Liz rubbed her hands over her arms and began to cry, remembering all of the pain, and she felt blemished and flawed now that everything, even her skin, was completely different. Leo couldn't help himself and walked over to Liz to put his arm around her. Liz trembled underneath his touch, and she then stood up and turned to Leo "it's okay" said Liz through choked breaths "I need to be big so we can get everything straight" Leo smiled "Atta girl" Leo stood with her and gestured for her to follow "shouldn't I change first?" Leo looked her over quickly and noted what she wore, shorts and shirt "no, I think we'll be fine. Nobody is up this time anyway," Liz walked down the hallway towards the main area of the dojo, following Leo, she sits down on the couch in front of the TV and fiddles with her fingers, Leo sits down on the floor across from her "are you guys?... like freaks or something?" she asks, Leo shifts uncomfortably and sighs "yes... but it's not the outside that counts right?" Liz looks down "I guess..." Leo cocks his head "hey... don't fret, we're all friends here" Liz looks down and Mikey walks through "oh hey!" Mikey says this stressing the syllables "whatcha doing new girl?" Liz jolts "oh... you... um hello," Mikey sits down next to her "so Leo... you going to help her out?" Leonardo shifts his weight "that was the plan, we're going to shelter her for now" Mikey smiles "sweeet, are we going to train her too?" Leo looks surprised "uhm... well... maybe," Liz looks back and forth between them "um... who attacked me?" Leo looks at Liz "since you were mutated it's best to assume that it was the kraang, we've been trying to stop them for quite some time now..." Mikey butts in "they're these scary dudes with brains in their stomachs, they have these weird droid things they control, it's really messed up!" Liz hyperventilates "what?!" Leo cringes "no, it's not what you think!" Mikey cuts him off "yeah they're really weird and stuff, gotta be careful..." Leo shouts "Mikey!" Mikey grunts "fine... you're no fun" Leo sighs and turns to Liz "you're safe now..." Liz shakes her head and puts her head in her hands "no... I just want to go home again..." Leo places his hand on her knee "for the time being... I'm sorry to say but this is your home..." Liz scoots away "I'm not like you guys... I didn't ask to be this" Leo looks down "neither did we... it just happened" Liz embraces Leo and cries "what am I going to do?... I can't live in this sewer forever..." Leo pats her on the back "there, there... it'll all be fine in the end" Liz sobs "I hope so... I still have my mom" Leo sighs "we'll get you to your mom... someday"
