So, Val came into the house with suitcases in hand, as promised, and wearinga tuxedo. We already knew someone else was moving in, but me and Lottie asked them why they were dressed up. We know Val to be someone who always dresses casually and comfortably.
Val said they got married, which was shocking. Lottie asked why, and they said you can't be sure how much longer until our rights get taken away even more, so might as well do it while you still can. Plus apparently if Val and their wife live together and have jobs, Dawn can live here, which is all Val really wants.
So obviously, we want to know who the wife is, so Val mentions a grand entrance and tells them to come in now. A woman and Dawn walk in, Dawn gushing that she got to throw flowers in a church, and the woman saying she had to pick them up since it wasn't the typical wedding and just in a court.
This woman, Val's wife, is beautiful. Something about alternative girls, man. She has vibrant purple hair, tattoos, piercings. Wow. I asked her name, and Lottie asked what she is in college for. We now know her name is Dylan Rye, but she goes by just Dylan, and she graduated last year. She is a cosmetologist and a year older than us so graduated last year. Where she works, she can bring Dawn to work so no one has to worry about her being alone.
Not only was there a marraige today, but it's Dawn's birthday. Dawn already says today was the best birthday she's had. She's sad that she's leaving her grandparents, but excited to move in with us. We already have a room for her and a bed. She is able to essentially spend the night here tonight, but tomorrow we are all going over to Val's grandparents house to help with packing. Masks on, of course.
Side note: Dylan is not afraid of snakes. Which is a good thing. So now we have five of us living here, and four of us paying rent. I hope we become like Full House.
