Chapter five:
I groan as the sound of my phone blasts out, yet again. I have been getting numerous calls from both Nicola and Clara. Mostly Nicola though. Which was understandable since Clara has other things to worry about.
I sigh picking up the phone glancing at all the missed calls and messages I have received from my best friends. I know it wasn't there fault and that they had no clue why I was upset but it still hurt me knowing that two of my best friends knew something so important and still chose to hide it from me.
I just didn't understand why.
As I was about to open my texts from Clara my phone rung again. After taking a few seconds with myself, debating on wether I should pick up or not, I pick up.
"Hello?" The familiar voice spoke.
"Hey," I say strongly. I don't want her to think anything has happened to me.
"Oh my god, B, thank goodness. I was so worried, what happened?" Nicola sputters out.
"Did you know about Clara's parents?" The words flow out of my mouth before I had any control over them.
The line fell silent. "B," she begins.
"That's all I needed to know." I say firmly as I hurry up. I threw my phone across the room hearing a large thud. I regret it instantly. I frantically go towards my phone to make sure nothing had happened. Thankfully, my room had carpet so there wasn't a single scratch that lay on my phone screen.
I sigh in relief, clutching the phone in my hands.
My phone buzzes. I pick it up only to receive yet another message from Nicola.
Blair, she told me not to tell you. I couldn't bring myself to break my promise to her, especially about something this big. You guys are my best friends and I'd do the same for you and you know that. Please forgive me. Love you.
I sigh. She doesn't get it. I could never even think of asking her to do something like this. I would tell the both of them and wouldn't expect either of them to hide it from one another.
"Blair?" The door opens revealing Nicola. I gape at her.
"H-how-what?" I begin, stuttering until I finally manage to redeem myself.
"I was on my way when you weren't picking my calls anyways," she explains softly.
Oh.
"Look. I'm not in the mood to talk about it," I watch as her face falls but still, she nods. I smile at her appreciating her not pushing me. I was so lucky to have her as my best friend.
"Ok, so? we'll talk about something else. I didn't drive all the way her for no reason." she jokes.
I grin at her. "Absolutely. Come!" A pat a spot next to me on the floor where I was laying cause of the incident with my phone.
"Alright." She says giving me a weird look but joining me regardless.
She squeals clapping her hands together as an idea pops in head. "Why don't we go shopping?"
I groan.
I hate shopping and she was well aware of that. It took so much unnecessary time and effort that I can easily use doing something else. Besides, I'm more of an online shopping girl; it's so much easier.
"We can get cold stone?" I narrow my eyes at her. She knows I can't say no to that!
"Fine. Tomorrow." I tell her sternly.
"Alright, mom." she rolls her eyes at me.
Then she goes ahead and sits herself down on my bed as I get up to join her, sleep taking over us.

"How about this one?" Nicola suggests, grazing her fingers over a gorgeous red dress. I roll my eyes, completely unsatisfied.
We have been at this for more than two hours now and nothing makes her happy.
"If I try it on will you stop talking?" she nods excitedly as she rubs her hands together.
"I have a feeling about this one." I roll my eyes again.
"You said that about the last one. And the one before that. And the one-"
"Ok, ok we get it, just go try it on already." She pushes me towards the changing stalls.
"Fine." I snatch the dress from her hands making my towards a specific room. As I had suspected, there was no line.
Because everyone hates shopping I tell myself shaking my head.
"Are you done?" she yells from outside the stall.
"Bitch, I haven't even taken off my clothes. Wait." I roll my eyes at her impatience.
"Hurry up!"
Finally putting the dress on, I move my hair back looking in the mirror, taking in my appearance. Staring back at me is a more confident and well dressed person. I look amazing and I sure as hell feel like it, too. I internally squeal since I was stubborn and didn't want to admit how much I love the dress to Nicola.
"Ok, either you're gawking yourself in the mirror or have grown an extra three pounds in a matter of ten minutes and haven't been able to fit the dress on. I'll go with the first one." Man, she is crazy.
"That made no sense whatsoever, babe." I reply from inside.
"Whatever." She mutters from outside. I can practically feel her rolling her eyes.
Finally, I open the door so that Nicola can finally take a look at me. Her face lights up as soon as she does.
"You look stunning, b!! Omg everyone is gonna be on their knees!" She squeals, clasping her hands together.
My eyebrows furrow, "what do you mean? Nobody's going to see this."
She looks at me with a guilty expression even though I know for sure she isn't.
"Nicola?" I press on.
"Well.. there's a party at Asher's tonight and it would mean a lot to me if you could come," she says, begging me with her eyes.
Phew! Here I was thinking she has signed me up to be a hooker. Or worse.
A party doesn't sound bad. Why not.
Me, Clair and Nicola always attend parties whenever we got the chance to. I don't understand what the big deal is.
Suddenly, it strikes me as to why she hasn't mentioned it before: Clara.
Deciding not to make a big deal about this right now, I follow behind Nicola as she walks towards the counter of the store looking totally done with shopping. Sometimes I wonder how such an impatient person like her can have the patience to do something like shopping.
She looks at me as we wait for the bill to come. "I'm so tired!" She whines.
"Yeah, now you see why I don't like shopping?"
"Go away!" She swats her hand, pouting. I chuckle at her.
After we finish that, we head towards the food court. I am famished and I want a Subway. It's a favourite of ours.
"Um b?" Nicola halts in her place as we reached the front of Subway.
"Hmm," I hum, turning towards her.
She nods her head in front of her. I look at where she was gesturing to and stare wide-eyed, taking in the scene in front of me. Sorry- disaster. There he is eating at subway with what looks like a girl. I roll my eyes, of course. I squint my eyes trying to get a closer look and then gasp.
"Clara?"
