(Into the Ruler of Storms)

Andy's POV~

I continued on running from the danger of their fight. This is getting out of hand. Why do I keep attracting these beastman?! I'm literally nothing but a human!

As I questioned this in my head, I noticed it was starting to rain. Great, now I have to find shelter and quick. I continued to run and tried to find shelter. However, an even greater fear emerged as I heard the fighting stop. It was soon I hear the words of the 3 beastman "COME BACK ANDY!!!" I had to move quickly. I looked back to see they weren't there, meaning they are a long ways back.

I looked up ahead and saw what looked to be an old temple. I could already sense the trouble, but went inside anyway. I hid inside and looked through a window and looked outside. I saw them all show up at the temple. However, they didn't seem to even notice the temple was here. It's like it was invisible to them. I could hear Phoenix yell from the distance "He couldn't have gotten too far." They all went their separate ways to try and find me.

I sat down in relief. I looked up and saw what looked to be a wolf with wings. I got up, scared it'd attack. It went up to me and stood up against me. It appeared as if it wanted to me to pet it. I smiled gently and pet it. It nuzzles into my hand and licks my cheek. I smile and continue to pet it.

After a little while of petting, it got up and started to walk somewhere else. It used its eyes to signify to follow it. Intelligent wolf, I must say. I started to follow it around the temple and it let me to what seemed to be a dining room. The lights were on, but there was no one in here. I walked around, following the wolf. It led me to the top of the temple.

I looked ahead, and gulped nervously. Another Beastman. This one was different however. Unlike the past few, this one resembled a tiger. It was wearing spiritual clothing.

The tiger turns around and I notice the exit has been shut. The tiger approached me and I backed away. Before I could get too far, he pulls me close to him. I look into his eyes as he does the same, before smiling down at me.

"It's been awhile since I saw another person. Too long." I back away from him, but a strong wind blows me towards him. "Y-you're not mad for trespassing?" He raises an eyebrow and chuckles. "Mad? Why would I be mad? I'm overjoyed." He picks me up and takes me down into the temple again. He sets me down in a seat in the dining room I saw earlier. I feel a strong wind and see a chair get moved towards him. He sits down in the chair and I see the wolf bring over a plate with what looked to be raw meat.

I see the tiger man take a fork and stab it into the meat. I see him focus and then see that fork lights up and notice the meat being cooked well done. He pushes the plate towards me and smiles. I cautiously started to cut it and eat it with a silverware next to me. I keep glancing up at him, but every time I do, he just smiles.

This continued on until I was done with my food. He smiles when I got finished. "Was it good?" I nod my head. But how was he able to cook it with just a fork? Curiosity got the best of me so I asked him. In response, he smiles. "I'm Anvindr, Ruler of Storms." I nod my head.

He looks at me with a slightly confused face. "Usually people have a sort of reaction to hearing me say that." I just shrug my shoulders. "Before I met you, I came across a forest guardian, a water controlling werewolf, and a dragon tamer. I'm just not surprised at this point." He puts his hand on his chin and thinks.

As he was thinking, I pet the wolf from before. He stops thinking and smiles at me petting the wolf. "That's Volta. Her name is short for voltage." I nod my head and continue to pet her. She seems to like the attention.

Anvindr smiles and gazed outside. I looked outside as well and it seems the raining stopped. However, Anvindr moved his hand and I noticed it started to rain again. He walks back and sits down. I start to think about this place. It seems very old. I get curious, so I ask him how old he and this place is.

To my question, he responds with a shrug. "I've lived for a very long time. As do most things in the enchanted woods. Everyone that lives here long enough gain eternal life. I've been here my whole life, so the years continued to pass by. I lost count of my age." I nod my head understanding.

"Doesn't it get lonely being here with just Volta?" He sadly smiles and nods. "You're the first person to come here in years. I used to be worshipped like a god, mainly because that's somewhat what I am. But generations pass by and I grew to be forgotten. The only one I have left is Volta, who just decided to live here with me." I nod my head.

I didn't know if I was going to regret this or not, but I walked over to him and hugged him. He seemed surprised at first, but he hugged me back, lifting me up in the process. He lets me down and smiles. "Thanks, I needed that." I nod my head and smile. "I could tell." It was then I saw him turn away from me for a moment. I questioned it, but decided not to ask.

Anvindr POV~

I looked away from him, hiding my blush. Damn, it's been so long since I've seen another human. But this one is something else. He's cute and he's understanding.

I calmed myself down and turned over back to him. "So, why have you come here anyway? Just out of curiosity." He nods and sighs.
"When I first entered these woods, three beastman became obsessed with me. I didn't even do anything special, they just obsessed over me. The forest guardian intended on keeping me. The dragon tamer insisted on protecting me. And the werewolf said that he needed me. The three of them found out that they all liked me. It ended up in a fight between them. I knew it was too dangerous to stick around, so I ran. And it started to rain, so I needed shelter. That's why I came here."

I nodded my head. I've heard the attacks from here, so I can confirm that he's likely not lying. I don't know about these other beastman because I don't really go out often unless it's to hunt. I've never seen any other beastman in quite some time. This made me question another thing, so I decided to ask him.

"Why have you come into these enchanted woods anyway?" He sighed and explained. "I keep hearing a voice that's been calling out to me for some time. At first I thought it was just in my head, but I found that I keep getting closer to it. So I'm trying to find out who it is." I nod my head. "I understand."

I looked back outside, ignoring the rain and saw it was getting late. "Would you like to stay the night? I have extra rooms you can use with beds. Don't worry, I keep myself entertained by cleaning every room of this house, so the beds are in good condition."

He thought about it, but then decided on something else. "If it doesn't trouble you any, may I sleep with you? I don't like sleeping alone. Especially in the dark." I blush at the thought, but nod my head. He smiles and asks me to lead the way. I lead him to my room, which isn't much. You'd expect something big like a king sized bed, and couch, and so on, but nope. My room just consists of a bed, and some weapons that I use to hunt.

I lie on the bed and notice there isn't much room here. "S-Sorry, there's not much room on the bed, I believe." He sighs and gulps nervously. "Can I sleep on your chest?" I blush again. I just nod. He gets on the bed and crawls on top of me, nuzzling into my chest for comfort. Suddenly, he wrapped his arms around me. "I forgot to tell you. My name is Andy." I nod my head and stroke his. It didn't take long for the both of us to fall asleep.

Time skip~

It was the next morning and Andy was still on top of me. I smiled a bit and pet his head. I don't want him to go. It's been too long since I've talked with anyone like this. If he leaves, I'll just be lonely again. And I don't want that to happen. I gently slide Andy off me and set him gently down on the bed.

I walk over to the kitchen and started to make his breakfast. For me, I just had a few slices of meat from my last hunt. I noticed Andy walk into the dining room, so I walked over and set his food down. He smiles and eats it with a smile, making me smile as well. He then looks in a certain direction. It must be the voice he's been hearing.

"Is it the voice?" He nods his head and heads to the exit. I follow him and he walks down the steps. My heart was beating fast, I was getting sad every step he took down those stairs. My emotions got the best of me as a lightning streak that came out of nowhere struck in front of him.

I was surprised at my own action and Andy certainly was too. I ran down and picked him up. "Are you okay?! I don't know what came over me!" He smiles and nods. "I'm fine."

I knew I had to tell him. Or else saying goodbye would feel a lot worse. "Andy, I have to tell you something." Andy nods and keeps looking at me. "I don't want to say goodbye. It's been years since I got to talk to someone. I don't want you to leave just yet. I want to spend time with you. I just don't want to be alone again."

Andy nods. "Well, I can understand that. But that voice is calling to me. How about you and Volta come with me?" My eyes widen at his suggestion. "Would that really be okay with you?" He nods his head again.

Volta flies down and stands next to me. Andy smiles and says "Also, I trust that you will protect me. You're a ruler of storms, so I expect that you can protect me. I have 3 beastman that are out for me. So, can you protect me?" I nod my head and hug him.

"I promise, for as long as you want, I'll protect you. I can make storms of all kinds, and I will use my power to keep you safe from those other beastman." Andy nods and hugs me back. We set off for the voice that he's been hearing. Volta follows next to me as we journey on. I'm just happy to be here with Andy. With him here, I don't feel lonely.
