Fairytale AU part 3

(Into the Werewolf)

Andy's POV~

Waking up the next morning, I hear the same voice calling out to me. I was currently being held tight by Phoenix, and as much as I appreciated all he's done, despite keeping me hostage, I have to leave.

I carefully got out of his grip and quietly walked out of the cave, making sure not to wake Inferno. I got out and started to quietly walk the direction that the voice was coming from. My fear spiked up suddenly when I see Vernon looking around the forest. I quickly hide in a small hole and peeked my head out to see him looking around. From here, I could hear his voice.

"Andrew couldn't have gotten too far, nearly all mortals get lost in these woods. I'll find you Andy. Then we'll be forever bonded~"

He then ran off in a different direction. Once I found it safe, I started to walk off a different direction. It was then my fear spiked again as I hear a loud, familiar roar. I look up at the sky and see Inferno, and on his back was Phoenix. I could hear Phoenix yell to Inferno. "He couldn't have gotten far Inferno. Let's keep looking for him before he gets hurt. We don't want to risk that chance."

I looked around for a place to hide and started running. I can see the both of them looking around. At this rate, they'd find me real quickly. I keep running and I saw a lake up ahead that had a river going out of it. I didn't have much choice, so I kept running and jumped into the lake. I looked above through the water to see the two of them continue on.

After I was sure they were gone, I got up to the shore of the lake and pulled myself out. As soon as I started walking, a bunch of ice spikes rose out of the ground and I felt something grab me and pull me into the lake again. I held my breath open and find a werewolf?! I tried to get away, but I was pulled close to him and I felt him kiss my forehead, causing me to blush. I needed to breath, but he wouldn't let me go.

I knew it was too late for me as I took in a breath, only to find I was fine. I checked my surroundings to find that I'm still underwater. I was breathing fine though. The werewolf grabs ahold of my arm and starts to drag me further down into the lake until we reach an underwater cave. We got inside and I felt my arm get cold and look to see I was chained by ice.

The werewolf sat down on an ice chair and looked at me. "What are you doing in my waters, mortal?" I gulped nervously. "I'm searching for a voice. It's been calling out to me and it seems to be in these enchanted woods." He glares at me a bit. "That doesn't explain why you came here. Why jump in these waters? These are sacred waters and only the purest of souls may drink from these. So, state your purpose of being here."

I nod my head nervously. "I was escaping some beastman. You see, when I first came to these enchanted woods, I found a forest guardian. He insisted on keeping me with him forever. After I escaped him, I came across a dragon tamer. He insisted on having me live with him. He wanted to protect me, but I couldn't just stay still while that voice continued to speak out to me. As I left his cave, he and his dragon were on the lookout for me, causing me to come here."

He listens and thinks about it. "Okay, I believe you." I sigh in relief. I look down into the cave and see a lot of creatures come out. They look like dogs with fish tails. They went to the werewolf and the werewolf smiled and made ice cubes and they chewed on them. The one jumps onto my lap. "W-What are these? They're adorable." The werewolf chuckles. "These are aqua-fairies. A kind of fairy that resembles a canine. They're majestic, magical beings. Each are a reincarnation of my kind."

I looked at him hoping for an explanation. "You see, you already know I'm a werewolf. But there's more to it than that, considering I can control water and who all can breathe it." I nod my head and he continues. "I'm not what I was originally. I lived in a normal werewolf pack, but these hunters came in and started to annihilate my pack. Everyone was gone, all except for two. Those two were me and my sister." I nod. "We came to this lake and were granted powers to keep us living forever. And we defended ourselves with the ability the sacred entity of this lake gave us. The power to control water and ice. And these aqua-fairies were reborn from members of our pack."

I nod my head at his story. "Where's your sister now?" He looks out of the cave and continues. "Probably out looking for food for us. I'll introduce her." I nod my head and he gazes back at me. "I guess I have yet to introduce myself. I'm sorry, but this lake is my home and I must protect it." He unlocks the ice chains, the aqua-fairies eating the ice. "My name is Aberforth. As you already know, I'm a werewolf with the ability to control water at will."

I nod and stand up and stretch. "My name is Andy." He grabs ahold of my hand and shakes it. "Sorry about the chains and being forceful. I'm just trying my best to protect this place. Now that I think about it, your soul seems to be pure, so I'll let you stay." I nod my head and sigh in relief. "Since you're hiding from those guys, how about you stay here until they're gone?" I nod my head furiously. "Yes please."

Aberforth nods and gets a bed ready. It doesn't look soft, but it looks comfy either way. I look outside and up at the surface. I can see Phoenix still up there every so often. And I can see Vernon show up every once in awhile to take a break from searching. It might be awhile before they leave. Aberforth walks over and looks up at them. "They must be really desperate, huh?" I nod my head.

Aberforth walks me in and makes an ice door. "This will be sure they don't see you easily through the water. As you can see, the water is pretty clear." I nod my head, and he's right. The water is very clear and pure. He sets me down in a seat and looks around. "You like fish?" I nod my head as he nods. "That's the most my sister and I eat. Every once in awhile we'll go hunting for meat, but we like to stick with fish since it's close by." I nod my head, understanding.

Aberforth forty moves his hands in some way and forces all the water in the cave out. This included the water on me, my hair, my clothes, and so on. And on himself too. "I figured you'd like to sleep dry and not wet." I nodded my head and he smiled. He looks outside and I notice it's getting dark out. I head over the bed he set up. "You need anything to rest your head on? It's not much, but my chest is available. If it means you being comfortable while you're here."

I shook my head no. "I've done that for the past few days from the people I'm running from." Aberforth nods his head and pets the aqua-fairies. I grew tired a bit and I slowly fell asleep.

Aberforth's POV~

I gaze back at the sleeping human, causing me to smile a bit. He's really cute. I can see why those two are after him. I waited by the door for my sister to arrive. Soon enough, she comes back with a net full of meat. She wrings here hair and uses her water ability to get rid of it.

"So, Aberforth, why is there no water in here? I mean, it's more comfortable without it, but we don't usually do this." I guide her over to Andy. "A human?" I nod my head. "He's being hunted down by a dragon tamer and the forest guardian." Aberdeen nods her head. "That explains a lot. I saw Vernon multiple times on the way back. And I did see a dragon flying above a lot when I was hunting." I nod my head.

Aberdeen sighed. "Do you plan on giving him to Vernon? You know he'll never forgive you if he finds out you're keeping him here." I sigh. "I know, and I know that he'd be very upset. I mean, we've known each other since we were younger. But at the same time, I feel... selfish."

Aberdeen tilts her head. "Selfish? How come?" I sigh. "I feel like... I have a strong bond with this human. And I don't know what it is." Aberdeen gasps. "Oh my god! Forth, you know what this means?!" I widen my eyes at her reaction. "N-no! I don't!" She sighs and calms herself down. "I'll tell you something that was part of werewolf culture that you missed out on because you didn't reach the right age before we were attacked. Us werewolves have something called a 'mate.' A mate is someone who you desperately need. They're your soul mate and will make you happy just by being near them. And you will automatically feel a strong bond to them the moment you become acquainted."

My eyes widen at her explanation. "So that human, Andy... He's my mate?" Aberdeen smiles widely. "And as much as you want to be friends with Vernon, you can't let him have Andy. You need Andy more than him." I ask why before I fall to my knees suddenly. My mind suddenly went a bit dark and I felt a little heartbroken, but what about? She sighs "This is why. Without your mate, your werewolf side will go into a deep depression. This causes you to feel bad too. Go to Andy." I do as told and held Andy close to me. Suddenly, I felt a whole lot better, and I liked hugging him. His skin is soft and he looks adorable.

Aberdeen walks over. "See? You need him. You need him so much. You will feel sad without him nearby." I nod my head and held Andy close to me. Damn, my wolf loves him. I can't say I don't either because I really do. I feel so attached, like if he were gone, I'd be in despair. "We need to keep him here. Now that you've met him, you can't let him go. You need him, or else you'll constantly be upset." I nod my head. I'm sorry Andy, but I can't help it. I need you.

The next morning~

I woke up with Andy on my chest. I can't get over him. My wolf just doesn't want to let him go. My wolf is basically my soul. Every werewolf has two souls, a soul of their own and a wolf soul. That wolf soul is like a being inside of us, but not one that can control us physically. Andy soon wakes up and jumps back in surprise. "I'm sorry for the rude awakening. You had a nightmare last night." Andy nods his head and then sniffs the air. "I smell food." I nod my head and guide him over to where the food was being made.

I show him the food and he looks over at Aberdeen. I walk over and introduce him. "Andy, this is Aberdeen, my sister." He shakes her hand as she does the same. "My name is Aberdeen, but you can just call me Deen. And you can call my brother Forth." He nods his head and smiles. He's given a plate of some sausage and eggs from Aberdeen's hunt last night.

Suddenly, Andy turned his head toward the exit. "What's wrong Andy?" I ask in a worried way. "I hear the voice again." I widen my eyes. This means...

"Well, how about instead of listening to some voice, you just stay here?" Andy must've got scared at my offer. This probably happened twice already with the other two. He runs off to the exit, but is blocked by Aberdeen. "Sorry Andy, but you're my brother's mate, so you have to stay here." His eyes widen. "M-mate?!" I nod my head and hug him tightly. Suddenly, all the sadness left as I held him close. "Deen, how kind does it take for the sadness to stop?" She sighs "Well, since you're young, you'll be very needy for awhile. It'll take about a year before you two can be long distance separated."

Andy struggles in my hold. "That's too long!" He gets out of my hold and starts to swim up to the shore. He can't leave! I can't let him! Both Aberdeen and I used our powers to try and get him back. The two of us made a whirlpool that would drag him back to me. He tries to fight it, and for a human, he's strong. Suddenly, a dragon pulls him out of the water.

Andy looks at the being on the dragon with dead. "I told you Andy! It's dangerous out there!" The being held Andy close to him, causing my wolf to growl. I got up and made the dragon's feet frozen to the ground. "Give him back!" I shout loudly. I let a stream of water head toward that being, but he evaporates it!

Andy tries to get away from the being, but he's being held so tightly. "I don't know what it is you want, but if you want Andy, you can't have him! He's coming back home with me so I can protect him from people like you!

Andy's POV~

I knew that this was going to get ugly fast as Phoenix held me tightly. Aberforth launched another stream of water and Phoenix used a blue flame to evaporate most of it. I struggle more and finally got out of his grip. "Andy!" I got off Inferno and ran, only to be frozen to the ground by Aberdeen. She then went back and started to fight Phoenix with Aberforth. I saw Vernon show up and knew it was going to get ugly real quick.

Vernon looked over at Aberforth in anger. I could then hear him speak. "I can't believe you're a traitor, Forth! I trusted you!" Aberforth growls. "You don't understand, I need him!" Vernon gets angry and yells back. "I love him!"

I couldn't take this anymore. I'd either be taken by one of them or I'd be killed in this battle between them. Grab a rock and I smashed the ice on my feet, making a run for it, hoping to get somewhere. It's too dangerous here.
