Naina was busy setting up things up in their new house. Viraj was coming home after seven long months. In these past 3 years Viraj has had two field postings. The first was a month after their marriage. After this Viraj had applied for peace posting.

Those 18 months had been the best months of their lives. They spent every fleeting moment together. Naina sighed happily remembering all those moments with her husband and pushed the couch in the right position. She dusted her hands together and walked to Veer's room.

Veer was now 6 years old and going to  start primary school soon. "Veer! Did you put the clothes away like I asked you to?" Veer glanced up from the paper and nodded his head. "Yes Mumma!" Naina smiled and ruffled his hair. "Good boy!"

Just then they heard an excited squeal coming from the other bedroom. Veer and Naina locked gazes as their eyes widened. "Oh no! What did your sister do again?" Naina sprinted towards the room as Veer laughed loudly.

Naina frowned when she didn't find anyone in the bedroom. Another squeal followed, it was coming from the bathroom. Naina groaned and opened the door. There stood her one year old daughter Tanya squealing and splashing water from the bucket.

She was completely wet and her curls bounced as she jumped. She was about to slip when Naina caught her. Tanya smiled innocently at her. Naina glared at her daughter. "Tanya! How many times have I told you not to do that! What would have happened if you get hurt?"

Tanya pouted and her gery eyes that she had inherited from her father glistened with tears. Within in few seconds she began wailing. Naina sighed and hugged her daughter. God her daughter was not at all an easy kid to handle. She was so naughty.

They had named her after Viraj's mother. Viraj often said that she looked like his mother. Naina couldn't help but agree she had seen her mother in law's pictures and her daughter resembled her grandmother.

"Okay fine calm down! Promise me you won't do it again,? " Naina asked her with a stern voice. Tanya nodded her head and said "Kay!" Naina kissed her chubby cheek and carried her out of the bathroom. She changed her clothes and dumped the wet ones inside the hamper.

Veer who was standing there the entire time smiled at his sister as Tanya waved her hands at him. "Mumma can I carry her?" Veer asked Naina who nodded her head and handed her carefully to her son. "Be careful!" Veer nodded his head and carried her to his room.

Veer was such a sweet boy. He had become so responsible and reliable. His nightmares weren't as recurring as they had been in the past. Although they do rattle him from time to time. Tanya on the other was completely opposite. She was so naughty. For a one year old she was very clever and used it to create havoc around the house.

She was only five months old when Viraj had gone for his field posting. He had missed a lot of her firsts but that was a part of the lifestyle that he had chosen. Naina had made sure to document each and every milestone of their kids lives.

Meera was still Veer's best friend. They were always together. Except the one time Arjun and Viraj had been posted in different places. That was a hard time for both the kids. Annie and Arjun had another kid about 2 years ago. His name is Andy. Just like Tanya he was super notorious.

Neel and Indu were blessed with a beautiful daughter just a few months back. Idhu's parents had finally accepted their daughter's decision. They had even made up with Neel. Ira was the name of their daughter. She had dimples just like her father.

Coming to Naina's friends Sameer and Isha had tied the knot about an year ago. They were expecting their first child. As for Neena she had finally completed her doctorate and was now a genaral surgeon. Sahil and her had gotten married an year ago. They had decided to adopt their first child who was a sweet two year old boy.

His name was Harish. He had been abandoned by his parents because he had down syndrome. Neena was furious when she found out about this. He had been with them only for  a few months but had blossomed under their care.

It made her happy that all her friends who were more like family were settled and happy in their lives. They still met once in a while. Sometimes Annie and Indu would be in the same contonment as her's but sometimes they would be in different ones but their bond was stronger than before.

Naina was answering some of her mails and thinking about all the things that had taken place in the past three years of her life just then the bell rang. She kept the laptop on the table and sprinted towards the door.

Taking a deep breath she combed her hair with her fingers and took a deep breath. Tanya and Veer were right behind her. Her heart pounded so fast and her breath hitched. There stood Viraj in his olive green uniform, aviator sunglasses covered his eyes and a beard covered his face.

Viraj removed his aviators and smiled at his wife. Naina had seen him numerous times when he had video called her but that didn't do any justice to what she felt when she saw him in person.

Naina threw her arms around his neck and hugged her husband tightly. Viraj chuckled and circled his arms around her waist. "Hey! I missed you!" Naina sighed against his neck. "I missed you too!" Veer on the other had stood was trying to push his mother away so that he could hug his father.

Viraj and Naina separated with a chuckle. Viraj pecked Naina's lips and Veer wrinkled his nose. "Yuck!" Viraj laughed and picked Veer in his arms. "Oh I missed you so much buddy!" Veer hugged his father and sighed against his shoulder. "I missed you too papa!" Veer had began calling him Papa instead of daddy for the past two years. Somehow it felt more emotional.

Viraj loved it when he called him Papa. Just liked Naina loved it when Veer addressed her as Mumma. Naina frowned and searched for Tanya. She smiled when she spotted her one year old daughter shyly standing with her hands on the couch.

Naina walked to her and kneeled in front of her. Tanya gave her a tooty grin. She was cute with her four tiny teeth on display. "Baby, come say hi to Papa!  He's waiting for you!" Tanya's eyes brightened at the word Papa. She was fimilar with that word because Naina had always showed Viraj's pictures and told her that he was her Papa.

Naina smiled at her daughter and picked her up. She walked towards where Viraj and Veer were talking and giggling. Viraj was still standing near the door. When he noticed Naina walking towards him with their daughter in her arms. His face brightened up.

Naina stood in front of Viraj. "Look it's Papa! Go say hi!" Naina tried to pass her daughter to Viraj but Tanya buried her face against her neck. Naina chuckled because it was unusual to see Tanya so shy. She was usually a force to be reckoned with. Naina rubbed her back and whispered sweet things in her ear.

Veer smiled at his little sister. "Tanny come here! Look! It's Papa! I showed you his picture right!" Tanya stared curiously at her older brother who was so comfortable in his arms. "Yes baby go to your father! Look Bhai is right there!"

Viraj smiled warmly at his daughter. She had changed so much from the last time. He had of course seen her during Video calls and Naina had sent him so many pictures, then again that didn't do any justice.

Tanya stretched his arms towards Viraj. Veer moved to Naina's arms who kissed his cheek. Viraj's eyes glistened with tears. He held her in his arms and nostalgia hit him. He felt the exact same feelings that he had felt when he had carried her in his arms for the first time.

Naina and Veer smiled at the duo. Tanya smiled at her father and touched his cheek with her chubby hands. Viraj sobbed a little and placed his forehead against her tiny forehead. "I missed you so much sweet girl! You are so pretty just like your mother!" Naina clicked their photos as Veer leaned his head against her neck.

Tanya giggled as his beard tickled her. She looked into his grey eyes and felt protected. Viraj smiled listening to her laugh which sounded like chimes. He kissed her chubby cheeks until she was a giggling mess. Tanya patted his cheeks and murmured "Papa." Naina cried out in joy while tears fell from Viraj's eyes.

She called him Papa once again and placed a sloppy kiss on his lip. After that she buried her face in his neck. Viraj sighed contently and caressed his daughter's back. He carried Veer again and hugged both his children close to his heart. He closed his eyes and basked in the moment.

"Okay guys! Let's go inside. Come on!" She wiped her tears. Viraj kissed both of them and carefully placed them on the floor. Veer held his sister's hand and walked to the dining table. "Why don't you go freshen up? I'll keep all of this inside!" Naina pointed at the luggage. Viraj nodded his head and walked towards their bedroom.

Naina sighed and locked the front door. She pulled his suitcases and slinged his bag over her shoulders carrying them to the bedroom. She heard the shower and placed all his clothes on the bed.

Viraj showered and decided to leave his beard. He wanted to see how his wife would react. She usually didn't like it but he did it every time just to irk her. Naina had arranged all the food on the table.

Viraj took his seat beside Veer and ruffled his hair. Naina frowned when she noticed that her husband hadn't shaved. She knew he was trying to get a reaction out of her. She decided to ignore it and sat opposite to Viraj. She placed Tanya on her booster seat and gave her a sippy cup.

Veer was chattering about how his school was and how naughty Tanya had become. While Tanya stared at them curiously. She didn't even blink for a second. She felt like she would miss something. Naina laughed at the expression on her daughter's face.

Sometime during the lunch, Viraj brushed his leg against Naina's legs. Naina's eyes widened and she gasped. "What's wrong Mumma?" Veer asked her while Naina glared at Viraj who was giving her a playful smirk.

"Nothing baby! I thought I saw something." Veer nodded his head and went back to munching his food. Viraj laughed at her expression and winked at her. Tanya tapped her hand asking to be feed again. Naina threw one more glare at him and turned to feed her baby.

Her heart was racing. Something about seeing Viraj after so many months made her feel like they were back to dating. Boy was the beard turning her on so much. She knew that didn't shave it on purpose. For the first time she found it appealing as hell.

After having lunch everyone washed their own plates. Veer pulled Viraj to his room and they decided to play some video games. Naina didn't let him play for more than an hour. She didn't want him to be addicted to it, but she was willing to make an exception today.

Naina along with Tanya sat on Veer's bed. She held a picture book in font of Tanya and read it out to her with different noises. Tanya giggled and clapped her tiny hands every now and then. "Puppy!" She exclaimed when she saw the picture of a puppy.

"Yes! That's a puppy! My smart girl!" Naina smiled and kissed her cheek. The boys hooted and hollered, Naina rolled her eyes but a small smile played on her lips. "Okay bud! That's enough! Why don't we go play outside?" Viraj turned of the video game while Veer nodded his head excitedly.

"What do you want to play?" Veer thought about it for a while. He pumped his fists in the air and screamed "Football!" Viraj smiled and nodded his head. "Okay wear your shoes and get the ball!" Veer hotted and ran off to do what was told to do.

"What are my girls doing?" Tanya squealed and jumped on Naina's lap. "Here, hold her! She wants you to hold her!" Viraj chuckled and carried his daughter in his arms. Tanya laughed as he blew raspberries on her stomach.

Here baby laughs were so beautiful that Viraj could hear them all day. "Okay let's go out! Your brother must be waiting!" Viraj passed her to Naina and walked away to wear his shoes. For the next few hours the father and son duo played while Naina entertained Tanya.

"No! You cannot eat that!" Naina dusted Tanya's hands as she was about to eat sand for the millionth time. Tanya frowned at her mother and whined. "Baby you cannot eat those! They're dangerous. God you're so naughty." Naina tickled her belly and smiled when Tanya laughed.

When everyone were tired and worn out they walked back to the house. The sun was setting and it was almost dinner time. They had dinner and Viraj read a bed time story to his kids. Tanya usually sleeps with Naina but recently she had made sure that the littel girl would grow out of that habit.

So, Naina had placed a small bed in Veer's room so that she could sleep right next to her big brother. Many mornings she found both her kids cuddled in the same bed. It was the most beautiful sight ever. Her heart swelled with love everytime she saw them together.

Once the kids were asleep Viraj tucked the duvet around them and kissed them. Naina stood at the threshold and gazed at the scene before her with a warm smile on her face. Viraj smiled at her and walked out of the room. Naina checked on them once more and switched off the lights in her kids room.

Viraj plopped on the couch with a sigh and ran his palms over his face. Naina sat beside him and bumped her shoulders with his. "What's up?" Viraj sighed and smiled sadly at her. He shook his head. "Nothing, just tired!" He leaned his head against her shoulder.

"Ohh I didn't know that the great Viraj could get  tired!" Viraj chuckled against her neck. "Well, I'm afterall human!" Naina rolled her eyes and mumbled, "No you're a Greek god!" Virja bursted out laughing and Naina's eyes widened realising that she had blurted it out loudly.

Viraj pulled away and gazed at his embarrassed wife. "Uhh I meant no you're fit!" Viraj raised his brows. "Really?" Naina rolled her eyes and lied right through her teeth even though she knew Viraj would know that she was lying.

"Yes anyway! Forget about that! Tomorrow is Meera's birthday and I bought this present for her. How's this?" Naina dangled a chain in front of his face which had a beautiful heart pendant. Viraj gazed at it and touched it with his hand. "It's really pretty!" Naina smiled and nodded her head.

She carefully placed it back in the box and closed it securely. "Also, Veer has been busy making something for her. They're so cute together!" Naina gushed as Viraj laughed. "Don't get too excited! Life usually takes a lot of turns so they may or may not end up together in the future."

Naina knew what her husband said was right but she still liked to believe that Veer and Meera would end up together. "Yeah whatever! You're such a buzz kill!" Viraj rolled his eyes and breathed out a laugh.

Naina leaned forward and placed a long kiss on his lips. Viraj moaned sucking her supple lips. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer. Naina sighed contently and ran her fingers throught his short hair. Her fingers prickled when she touched his beard.

Naina pulled away and kissed his forehead. Naina was breathing heavily as Viraj kissed her neck. "Umm, just a small request. Don't shave!" Viraj pulled away abruptly and stared at his wife with a surprised look.

"Really? You don't want me to shave?" Naina laughed and nodded her head. "Yes! I really like this rugged look! You look really sexy and appealing." Naina whispered against his lips and Viraj chuckled with a husky voice. "Well, that's good to know! Naina?"

Naina stared at his grey eyes and hummed. "I missed you so much! I love you!" Naina smiled at him and climbed on his lap. She wrapped her arms around his neck and slammed her lips against his. They moved against each other vigorously. The separation had left them desperate for each other.

"I love you too! I missed you!" Naina panted against his lips. "Okay! I hate to break this but I really need to answer some mails. Your daughter didn't let me do it this morning!" Viraj laughed and nodded his head. "Okay ma'am as you say!"

Naina stood up and walked towards their bedroom. Naina changed into her pyjamas and brushed her teeth. Viraj leaned against the headboard and flipped through some channels. Meanwhile Naina sat beside him and answered all her office mails.

Handling her kids alone when Viraj wasn't around and working a full time job was never easy but Naina was more than determined and she managed it pretty well. It was really hard in the the beginning and she almost had a break down but after talking to her mom she felt so much better. Naina always called her whenever she felt like things were headed downhill.

Her mom would give her the best advice. Naina had immense respect for her mother. She wasn't exactly an easy kid, now she understood how hard it exactly was to raise kids.

Naina shut down her laptop and placed it on her bedside table. She glanced at her husband who was busy watching some match with a serious expression on his face. Naina lips morphed into a playful smirk as she scooted closer to him.

She kissed his cheek, then his jaw and moved towards his neck. Viraj closed his eyes as his member hardened. He switched off the television and pushed Naina on the bed hovering over her he slammed his lips against her lips. Naina moaned and pulled him closer.

Viraj growled pulling the shirt that was covering her shoulder and sucked on her neck. Naina moaned and tangled her fingers in his hair. Naina pulled the shirt over his head and threw it somewhere on the floor. Viraj smirked at her as she ran her fingers over his pecs moving down his toned body.

She ran her fingertips across his scars and her eyes filled with tears. Viraj smiled at her and brushed her hair. He unbuttoned each button and kissed her skin every time. Naina was losing her control. She wanted to him right now without any foreplay but Viraj had other ideas.

"Can we make this quick?" Naina moaned as he kissed her mounds. "No! I'm going to take my own sweet time!" Naina grunted as the beard stung her skin but in a good way. It was turning her on even more. "Paticence wife! I'll give you want you want if you cooperate with me!"

Naina glared at him but nodded her head. "Fine!" Viraj chuckled at her frustrated voice. He pulled the straps from her shoulders completely freeing her breasts. He kissed her nipples and fondled them with his calloused fingers.

He removed his pants and so did Naina. Then he kissed her stomach and ran his lips across the stretch marks that adorned her body beautifully. "I love you!" Viraj whispered against her skin. Naina ran her fingers through his hair. "I love you too!"

He pulled her panties slowly away. Naina sighed when she felt his hot breath on her mound. She gasped when he kissed her there. He sucked on her folds and Naina screamed out as electricity came rushing down her body. His beard prickled against her thigh.

He pushed his fingers into her stimulating her further. He pumped his fingers in and out while his mouth did wonders. Naina arched her back and tangled her fingers in his hair pulling him closer. She came hard and screamed his name. Viraj chuckled against her thigh. "Shh! Naina you're too loud!" Naina rolled her eyes but gave him a shy smile.

Naina grabbed a condom from the bed side table. She ripped the packet open with her teeth. Viraj removed his boxers and threw where all their other clothes were piled up.  She rolled the condom on his length.

Viraj sighed and stared deeply into her brown eyes. He pushed through her folds and slammed into her. Naina moaned and pushed her fingers on his shoulder. Viraj hissed while Naina opened her eyes which were laced with concern.

"Are you okay? What's wrong?" Naina panted out. Viraj shook his head. "Uhh, don't get mad but I kind of got shot on my shoulder. It's not a big deal so chill!" Naina removed her hands from his shoulder and was about to cuss at him but Viraj slammed into her. All she could do was gasp.

She wrapped her arms around his waist. Viraj slammed his lips on her's. Naina moaned into his mouth. They reached their high together. After catching her breath Naina pushed him away asking him to show her his wound.

Viraj sighed, after dumping the condom in the trash can he pulled his boxers while Naina put on a shirt and her panty. "I thought I asked you something!" Naina shouted at him. Viraj groaned and showed her his back. Naina gasped when she an ugly gash on his left shoulder. She traced it with her finger tips and Viraj flinched slightly.

"Why didn't you tell me before?" Naina sighed and placed a kiss on his shoulder. Viraj turned to face her. He held her face in between his hands. "I didn't want to worry you besides it wasn't even such a big of a deal. The bullet didn't punture my skin it just scraped past that's all."

Naina pushed his hands away and her nose flared. She didn't care how small the wound was, she wanted to know when her husband got hurt. "I don't care! I want to know if you're hurt. I need to know about it no matter how small it is!"

"Fine! I'm sorry! I'll tell you the next time even when I get bitten by a mosquito!" Viraj replied sarcastically. Naina glared at him a cursed under her breath. She scoffed at him and laid on the bed facing the other side.

Viraj groaned and ran his fingers through his hair. He sighed switching off the lights and laid down beside her. He wasn't going to apologise! He hid it so that she wouldn't worry. Also for the record he would have told her if it was a big injury.

He decided to let her sleep and if she's still mad at him in the morning he'll apologise to her. He closed his eyes falling asleep. Sometime during the night Naina had shifted towards him and hugged him close to her. She sat up with a jerk when she heard Tanya's cries.

Sighing Naina pulled the duvet away from her legs and sprinted towards her room before Veer would wake up. Tanya was sitting on her small bed and rubbing her eyes with her tiny hands.

Naina sighed and carried Tanya in her arms. "Shh! It's okay! Mumma is here!" She rubbed her back and whispered sweet things in her baby's ear. Tanya whimpered and leaned her head against her neck.

"Do you want to sleep with me?" Naina asked and drew patters on her back. Tanya nodded her head. Naina kissed Veer's cheek, with Tanya in her arms she walked to her room. She carefully placed Tanya on the bed, she immediately crawled towards her father and buried her face in his chest.

Naina smiled contently at the sight before her. Viraj blinked his eyes open and stared at his daughter. He smiled and hugged her closer. Naina laid down and fell asleep. Early in the morning Veer got in their bed and snuggled next to Naina. Naina smiled and wrapped her arms around him.

After breakfast, she got ready and helped Veer and Tanya get dressed. Veer looked so cute in his jeans and a simple T-shirt. Tanya looked like an angel in her ruffly red dress. She pinned her curls with a beautiful clip.

"Okay let's go!" She brushed Veer's hair and held both of their hands. Naina stared at Viraj who was standing there casually in his jeans, boots and a simple T-shirt. Naina regretted being mad at him. He looked so appealing. She wanted to take him right there.

Brushing her thoughts aside she cleared her throat to get his attention. "Can we leave?" Viraj looked up from his phone and stared at his wife who looked pretty in her jeans and a beautiful dress shirt.

"Sure! Let's go! Viraj cleared his throat and carried Tanya in his arms. Naina sat in the driver's seat before Viraj could. Viraj sighed and sat next to her. They drove towards Annie's and Arjun's house. Veer was the first one to remove his seatbelt and run out of the car.

"Careful Veer!" Naina shouted after him. "Okay mumma!" Veer shouted back and slowed down. "Out!" Tanya screeched with her arms in the air. Viraj chuckled getting down from the car, he helped his daughter. Naina sighed and got down. She locked the car. She was the last one from her family to reach the backyard where the party was being held.

Annie squealed and hugged Naina when she saw her. "Yaay you're here! Come on I need to show you something!" Naina chuckled as Annie pulled her towards where her son and Annie's daughter were sitting together.

Naina sighed and placed her hand on her chest when she saw Meera blushing as Veer had given her a card. Veer kissed her cheek and Annie let out an "Aww! They're so cute!" Naina nodded her head absent mindedly. "Yeah! Okay I'm going to go give her my gift." Annie nodded and smiled at Naina.

Naina walked towards Meera and wished her. "Happy Birthday Meera!" Meera smiled and hugged her. "Thank you ma'am!" She called her ma'am even now. Naina had told her not to but somehow it was stuck with her. "Here! This is for you!" Naina removed the chain from the box and clasped it around her neck.

Meera made an awe face and giggled when it twinkled in the sunlight. "It's so pretty! Thank you!"

"You're welcome sweet girl!" Naina replied and kissed her cheek. For the rest of party Naina managed to ignore Viraj pretty well. She had her hands full with Tanya as well. She was indeed a strom when high on sugar. Moreover Andy and Tanya together were very hard to handle.

He was naughty and she was naughty. They were like two peas in a pod. Naina met all her friends and was happy to see them after a long time. When it was time for lunch Viraj couldn't take it anymore that she was ignoring him.

He pulled her to a secluded corner inspite of Naina's protests and slammed his lips against her's to stop her from talking. Naina moaned he pushed his tongue inside her mouth and tangled it with her's. She couldn't stop herself, she tangled her fingers in his hair. Viraj pulled away and muttered "I'm sorry!"

Naina sighed and pecked his lips. "Please don't hide anything from me. You know I hate it and yet you do it." Viraj sighed and kissed her head. "I know! I'm sorry okay! You deserve to know, it's your right!"

Naina smiled nodding her head. "Yes exactly! I don't care if it's a small or big injury! Next time I need to know! Got it?" Viraj smiled nodding his head  and kissed her again. They finally made up and walked into the house hand in hand.

It's been 3 years but the love they had for each other had reached to new heights. They had hard times but never gave up on each other. Viraj smiled when he saw his son and daughter with his wife. They were who kept him grounded. He looked around the room and his heart swelled with love. He had finally found his home and his family.
