I dropped Naina off at the entrance of the orphanage and drove towards the headquarters. I wish I could spend more time with Naina but duty comes first. Kissing her sends shivers through my body. I think I'm in, no Viraj don't do this. I can't I'm not going to admit it to myself. Naina makes me feel things that I have never felt for anyone.

I feel at home when I'm with Naina.    I had completely different intentions when I was going to meet her today. I don't want her to suffer. If she stays  with me she has to give up on her dreams and I don't want that to happen. I hate to admit this but this was precisely why I ignored all her messages even when I could have replied.

I had mentally prepared myself to break it off completely. Which is not at all logical considering the fact we weren't even in a relationship well not officially. I received a huge lecture from Neel and Arjun regarding the same. That's  when Naina bounded in and demanded answers from me.

She looked so cute and sexy at the same time. Her cheeks were puffed, all I wanted to do was pull her cheeks  kiss her and claim her as mine.My stupid break up speech flew right out of the window when she was in front of me.

I'm in a huge dilemma. After all the selfish me wanted to claim her as mine and spend my forever with her.  But the logically me warned a million times to stay the hell away from her as all I will give her is grief and pain. The winner was once again my heart, well what it wants it gets. I ran my fingers through my hair and changed the gear.

Not the time or place to think about all of this. Someone was following me and I didn't want Naina to get caught between all of this. I spotted a man who looked suspicious. Asshole thought I won't notice but something about his was definitely off. Just when I noticed he smirked at me and walked out of the bakery.

Calling for back up immediately I spoke to some of the officers to patrol around the bakery and also the nearby streets just to be on the safer side. Lucky for us we chased him and caught him. He's currently under our custody. I parked the car right outside the headquarters walking towards the entrance of the interrogation room. This man had been working for Aman for almost years now.

Lucky for him that he wasn't present the day we raided the warehouse else we would have caught him that day itself. His name is Amar, and I think he's Aman's younger brother. Both of them have the same mean look. He had been loitering around me for a while now. This is the very reason why I didn't want Naina to be there.

He was kept in the interrogation room. Neel and Arjun were outside talking to one of our senior officer Khana. Officer Bakshi had already gone back. The terrorist that we had caught at the border and Aman had a connection.Everything is linked. He wanted us to work on this mission here for a few more months. Then after that we'll be reporting back to duty. I don't know how long exactly are those few more months, Naina is only here for another 3 weeks at the most.

Not right now Viraj. "Sir" I stood before him and saluted him. "Ahh Viraj nice to see you. I know for the past two years you haven't taken up any mission like this but this is very important and I want the best. I have a strong feeling that something big is brewing and we have to be ahead of these bastards at all times."

See you have to understand that sometimes there bastards who  spread terror not only at the borders but also inside the country. It's really a shame that some of our very own  citizens support such groups for their own benefit. Wish I could get my hands on them, I'll break each and every bone in their body and bury then into the ground. At least they'll be useful as compost.

"Yes of course Sir! We're on it! I'm sure we'll find more information within the given time." Officer Khana unlike Officer Bakshi never appreciated his juniors. It was rare that he praised and I was not phased when her replied curtly "You better, I understand that all of you are young in love and all that but stay focused all three of you. I need my best officers on duty with at most focus. Am I clear?" He bellowed at the three of us. We stood straight and saluted shouting "Yes Sir!"

He once again sneered but nodded his head anyway. "This is the team that will be working with you three. I want all of you to work together. Strategize but I want answers at the end and I want that whole group to be eliminated form the face of this planet." Just then 3 more officers entered the room. I know them, hell we went to NDA together. The same batch well I guess that's enough surprises for the day. All three of them smirked at the three of us. We were always competitive. It was Aryan, Noel and Sonia. Arya and Noel were at NDA with us but Sonia she's a total different case.

Oh fuck why is Sonia here. She always tried to hit on me. Never missed an opportunity to try to get her filthy hands on me. She's really good at computers I'll give her that. We had worked with her when I was a 3 years back when I was leading one mission. She did a great job at hacking their entire system. That's how we could find their location.

Basically she works for the National intelligence. Fuck! I don't want to deal with her. She looked at me and winked biting her lips giving me a seductive smile. Neel and Arjun snickered behind be. Officer Khana was talking to those three officers glared at my stupid friends who shut their mouths immediately.

No worries I'll get them later. I just maintained my lethal look at all times. Sonia is like one of those clingy girlfriends who can't get over the break up. No I have never dated her but Neel and Arjun had sent me on a blind date with her. Yes she was that disastrous blind date. I tried to save my virtue that entire night. She made all dirty jokes which did not go well. She sounded so desperate. After that she got transferred and so did I. End of story, but none could save Neel and Arjun the next day. I bellowed, cursed and shouted at them for almost an hour.

Annie and Idhu gave them a 'I told you so' look. Well they had insisted on setting me up with anyone but Sonia but these buffoons  didn't listen to them. They never really liked Sonia. Well neither did I, she had a huge ego and that did not go well. All of these flashbacks were reeling in my mind while officer Khana briefed them about the mission.

"Well you officers are one of the best I know of. Do not disappoint me and don't get too cocky just because I appreciated you. Get to work all of you and Viraj you're in charge of this team. I want you to interrogate this Aman again. Use his brother Amar  against him if you have to. I don't care he seems to care a lot about his younger brother. Also he isn't opening his mouth even after breaking all his five fingers in his left hand and beating him numerous amount of times. I want answers Viraj and nothing else. Get to work all of you."

With that Officer Khana put on his aviators and walked out of the room. Amar was still unconscious. "Hello there Golden Trio! Long time no see. How are you guys?" Aryan walked and smirked towards us Noel and Sonia followed his queue. As uaual her stare was making me uncomfortable. "Never been better how have you guys been? Break any bones recently?" Neel asked them casually wiggling his eyebrows.

I rolled my eyes at them. It's not like the first time we're meeting each other. Aryan and I don't really gel well. Why you ask? Well he always stood second in class while I was at the top at all times. He didn't take that too well so there were always stupid fights between us. Thanks to Neel, Arjun and Noel we never went too far. I had a bit of temper that time not that it's any better now but it was worse back then. My ego never allowed me to bow down to anyone.

I walked directly towards him and stood in front of him forwarding my hand to shake. I don't have the time to deal with old stupid ego clashes. "I'm glad you're a part of this team. I'm happy to work with you." He looked shocked but smiled any way shaking my hand." Likewise Viraj, didn't expect that but I appreciate it. I agree we were stupid youngsters." I nodded my head an gave him a slight smile.

Noel shook my hand as well. Sonia was still standing there with an eager smile to be greeted by me. Fuck it might as well get it over with. I just waved my hand at her. "Hi Sonia good to see you again." I gritted out giving her a fake smile. She had jutted her hands out in hope of a handshake but no thank you I'm good. She covered up her sad pout and screeched "Hi Viraj and gang it's so good to see you guys after such a long time. Maybe this time I'll get both the things. Completing this mission and Viraj."

She muttered the last part to herself but we all heard it. Neel and Arjun snickered while Aryan and Noel grimaced. I just raised my eyebrows at her. She had a wierd possessive look on her face. I'm going to maintain my distance that's a wise decision. She just doesn't get the meaning of a simple word "NO". I rolled my eyes. "Now that all the introductions are over. Let's get back to work. Noel and Sonia dig up everything about this Aman and Amar. I want to know every single detail about them. Keep an eye on this asshole as well, I need you to pin some of his people down."

I threw a packet at Aryan . "These are the pictures and name of people who make up this whole terrorist group. I don't care what you do I want tabs on them at all times. There's no point in capturing them. We need to monitor their movements. Neel and Arjun you'll work with him. Just plant a bug them and keep a track of all their whereabouts. If they can dig up information about us so can we. It's a two way street and they're on the highway to hell." Everyone laughed agreeing with me.

"All of you get to work immediately! Meanwhile I'll have a little chat with our friend." I pointed towards Amar who was groaning he was about gain  concious any time now. "Yes boss, Roger that! We're on it." I nooded my head at them and was about to make my way towards the other room when someone blocked my way. Smell of a nasty perfume hit my nostrils. Oh god it's Sonia fuck just when I thought I was getting out of here without being confronted by her.

She was about to touch me when I moved back. "Sonia didn't I tell you to go do your work? Off you go." I moved the other side when she again blocked my path. "WHAT DO YOU WANT SONIA." I yelled at her. It was just the two of us rest of them had gone to the control room. "You Viraj I just want you. These 2 years have been so boring without you." Well might as well rip the band aid off.

I stepped back trying to gain my composure. I pinched my nose reminding myself that she's a woman and I cannot hit her. That goes against everything my mom taught me. "Look  Sonia, it wasn't my idea to go on a date with you okay. My friends set me up. I have made it clear before and I will make it clear once again. I have no interest in dating you or perusing any sort of relationship with you. Got it?  I want to make one thing clear. I'm sure you're a nice person but just overpowered with lust. I suggest you keep things professional with me. I have girlfriend okay and we're very happy together."

She stopped looking bored when she heard the word girlfriend. Not her fault, it feels weird to say that after a long time. "You have a girlfriend! I don't believe it! What's the proof?" She asked me sassily folding her arms. "You want proof well I'll show you, hold on." I just want her off my back she can be such a bitch.

I unlocked my phone opening the gallery I found a picture of Naina and I. Annie had sent me at least a 100 pictures of the both of us. I smiled looking at this picture. It was taken driung the ball just when I was dancing with her and asked her out on that date. Her face had a shocked expression she looked so cute gaping at me. I miss her, I'm going to call her immediately when I'm done with my duty today.

Hell no! I'll just meet her. I just want to hug her. Sonia cleared her throat waiting for me to show the picture. I handed her my phone. "Here you go that's her. Happy now are you satisfied? I'm a man who's taken and in a relationship! So please it's a humble request to stay away from me. Are we clear?"

She was gaping at the phone. I snatched it from her. "Fine whatever! She can have you for now, but for how long? No girl in their right mind would choose to go through long separations." How dare she say that? She herself working for the country and making such controversial statements. I let out a bitter laugh. "I can't believe you just said that. That's none of your business. Naina and I will make it work. You don't have to fret over it."

She scoffed and flipped her long hair." I don't want to hear anything anymore. Just go do what you're assigned to do. Stay out of my personal life, if you don't I'm not responsible for all the consequences that you have to face." She was about to argue then decided against it. She glared at me stomping off to the control room. I let out a huge sigh of relief. I felt like I was caged, she suffocates me.

Overpowered by anger I walked towards the room our lovely captive was resting. He was still struggling to open his eyes. Ohh looks like he needs  a wake up call. No worries I shall wake him up. There was ice cold water at the corner of the room. I poured the whole bucket on him. He gasped jerking straight up and spitting water. Blinking his eyes several times trying to focus on me.

I removed my jacket and hung it on the chair pulling my sleeves up I leaned forward and placed my hands on the table in front of him. "Good morning! Or should I say good evening. Which ever you prefer. So you have two choices, either cooperate with me or loose a few limbs. Choose wisely, it's simple just give me all the answers and you'll live to see the world else say goodbye."

I barred my teeth at him. He let out a sinister laugh, as if it was the most silliest joke he had ever heard. I was losing my patience by the minute. "It's funny that you think I'll tell you everything. Bhai will escape and so will I." I roared at him, taking the bucket I bashed it against the side of his face. He let out a groan, blood spouted out of his face.

I let out a satisfied grin."Don't make this any harder than it already is. Tell where are the others hiding and what is the plan?" I know he won't tell anything easily this was just the starter main course is when I plan on torturing him and make that Aman blurt everything out. I can show mercy only if he gives me answers now. He gave me an evil smirk and spat some more blood. "Don't do this Viraj let us go. We don't have any personal vendetta against you don't make us have one."

I scoffed this has to be the most funniest thing I have ever heard. An invader telling a soilder to not interfere when my sole duty was to eliminate such bastards from my country.

"That's funny, no personal vendetta. Are you fucking serious? You're trying to harm my country and my people and I should step aside. I'm trained to handle bastards like you. I was just giving you a way out, well looks like it's your fate to choose the other one. Sleep well Amar cause tomorrow you'll see hell." I bashed his head against the table while he once again  warned me to let him go. I tuned out his curses. Taking my jacket I moved out of the room walking towards the control room.

It was already 10pm and I still had some formalities to complete. I was happy to see that all of them were working well together. Walking towards my office, yes I was assigned an office just until this mission is over. Sonia and Noel were arguing about something. " Both of you stop it, don't act childish. This is a matter of national security! Agree on something and get the required information." I screamed at them and slammed the door.

They rolled their eyes but nodded anyway. Neel, Arjun and Aryan were back, Neel looked agitated. I raised my eyebrows at him. "He's being such a show off. He can literally jump from one to another building. I want to do that too." Neel pointed at Aryan who rolled his eyes looking bored at his childish acts. Why do I tolerate him? He's so annoying. Arjun shoved him. "Can you stop cribbing about stupid things!!!"

"Did you guys do the job? Are all of them being tracked?" Aryan handed me a tab which had all their locations highliged in red colour. "Good job boys! If everyone's done you can leave. Noel and Sonia once you're done send the information to me got it?" They were still tying away on the computer but nodded anyway.

I was about to text Naina to meet me at the entrance of the orphanage when Neel snatched my phone from  me. "What Neel? Give me phone back." Giving me an innocent look he smiled at me. "Can you please drop me off?" Ugh why today and moreover why now??? I want to meet Naina!!! I looked at him irritated. "No Neel I have some important work take the cab or ask Arjun to drop you." I snatched my phone back. Once again he pouted I rolled my eyes. Will anyone believe he's a lethal soilder who's second nature is to kill enemies?

"Please Viraj! Indu is waiting for me. I need to go. Arjun has to go somewhere with Annie so he's heading to the bakery to pick her up. She'll be leaving in another week please I want to spend more time with her." I groaned closing my eyes. "Fine whatever come let's leave now. I need to go somewhere else too."

Neel threw his hands in the air and cheered like a kid. I rolled my eyes but smiled at him anyway. Arjun had already left, we left the place. We hopped on the jeep and drive towards the army housing society. I was shocked when Neel was quite, just when I starting to enjoy peace with Neel he had to open his mouth. "So looks like you breaking off with Naina  didn't go exactly like you planned huh?"

He texted away on his phone and turned towards me expecting an answer. "Shut up Neel! I don't want to talk about it. To be honest I don't know what the fuck I'm doing. This whole thing is bizzare." Neel grumbled, "Deny it all you want Viraj but you are already in love with her. It would save the both of you from heartbreaks and what not  if you don't take any stupid steps." I sighed he's right, I don't know about love but I'm not admitting anything. I do feel a lot for her.

We still need to talk and work out a lot of things. "You think it's easy for Arjun and me to juggle work plus personal life? It's not at all easy Viraj. We have had our ups and downs but you have to understand that going back home to the person you love is the best feeling ever. Moreover you don't get to decide anything for her. You state your opinion but don't break her heart even before you've given her a chance. Are you even listening to me?"

"Jeez fine whatever. I get your point okay. When I saw her at the bakery all flustered and worried about me the thought of cutting  things off with her pierced my heart. I know that sounds clichè but that's how I felt. I don't care if we have less time with each other. I want to spend that time with her and that is what I need to talk to her about. I will as soon as possible."

Neel looked baffled, I stopped the car and told him to get off. "Well my friend didn't know you were wise. I'm glad you have decided to give this a chance. I'm happy for you. You  deserve this. Good night have fun with Naina!" He smirked at the last part winked at me and got off the car. I rolled my eyes at him and drive towards the orphanage.

I parked the car a few meters away from the entrance. I picked up my phone and called Naina. She answered the call after several rings. "Hello Viraj? Why are you calling me now? Are you okay? Or am I dreaming?" She sounded disoriented, I chucked at her cute antics. "I can assure you that you're not dreaming Naina. Can you come out near the entrance? Please I need to see you."

"What? Have you seen the time? It's already 11. I'm not even dressed. Just go Viraj I'll meet you tomorrow." I rolled my eyes at her reply. Silly Naina I didn't care how she looked I just wanted to meet her. "Naina I don't care. Just come here fast, I'm standing near my jeep. Make it fast I'm not leaving until I meet you."

Before she could reply I cut the call. Getting down I stared up at the sky, it resembled exactly the way it looked when I took her on that date a week and a half ago. I was thinking about her when someone tapped on my shoulders. I turned and behold Naina stood there in her cute pj's with a pout on her face. "What was so urgent that it couldn't want till tomorrow?" She yawned and tried to cover her mouth.

My raging heart calmed down the instant I looked at her. I pulled her towards me hugging her tightly. She stood stiffly for a minute startled by my action. After a minute or two she hugged me too. Pulling me close to her, I buried my head in the crook of her neck. She smelled like flowers in a field. 

"Umm Viraj not that I mind this, but is everything okay? You're scaring me right now? You went away in such a hurry that scared me too. I hope it's nothing serious." She mumbled and hugged me tighter if that was possible. I pulled away looking into her beautiful brown eyes. "Don't worry Naina. Nothing is wrong, I just missed you that's all."

She rolled her eyes and grumbled like a cute kid. I looked at her amused. "Yeah right, happy realization moron! Do you even comprehend the amount of anxiety that I had to go through!?!?" She was once again blabbering and scolding me. I wanted to shut her up, without giving her a warning I placed my lips on her  kissing  her passionately.

She was shocked at first but wound her arms around my neck reciprocating the kiss. I felt all my stress and anger leaving my body. She's a soothing balm to all my bleeding wounds. I didn't want this night to end.

Hello people! Here's another chapter for you! Hope you enjoyed it! I have written Viraj's point of view after a very long time actually. So I'm hoping it good.

I know the names are a little bit confusing. So Aman is the guy Viraj captured in the 26th chapter and Amar is the guy they captured now.

Who else hates this Sonia? I can't wait to see Naina's reaction when she meets her😂. Poor Naina god knows how many more girls she has to chase away.
