A/N: In this chapter there will be a time leap of about 3 weeks.

It had already been about 3 weeks since Naina and Viraj had meet each other. Naina got busy with teaching the kids and preparing for GRE although at times her mind revolved a lot around Viraj but as usual she brushed it off and didn't want to think about it.

Just another coincidence Naina kept repeating this to herself. All these kids were so amazing. She could see how eager they were to learn new things. The delight on their faces when she taught them how to use the computer for various things was a sight to look at.

Naina particularly kept herself busy and tried to dodge that topic. The thing was that Isha and Naina had huge fight over this topic. They were literally at the verge of pulling each other's hair if not for Neena being the mediator they definitely would have.

Naina's past was bought up and boy it was a heated argument. The fight was all about Isha wanting Naina to meet and talk to Viraj again. She had somehow managed to get his number from Sameer and literally prodding Naina to start texting or talking him and this had pissed Naina a lot more than anyone could have anticipated. Naina was sitting near the platform tahtbwas outside her room and thinking about what had happened

|FLASHBACK|

A few days after Viraj's visit much to Naina's surprise neither Neena nor Isha spoke about that stupid bet or the fact that Viraj had meet her once again. She suspected something was definitely brewing.

Exactly after 5 days the three of them were randomly walking around the premises after their dinner. Just then Isha bought up that incident.

Just when Naina was starting to believe that her friends were mature, but no no that's not possible at all. Isha and her stupid big mouth. Let's not forget about Neena she might act all innocent but she ain't better than Isha in any way. Together they are invincible and the bane of Naina's existence.

"Dreaming about a certain someone are we!???" Isha asked looking at Naina with a mischievous grin and Neena was laughing. Naina made an irritated face and looked at her friends.

" Oh come on guys please don't start teasing me! Please please don't do it! I don't want to talk about it okay. Let's just leave it there!" Naina stated looking at them with a stern face. She does not want to talk or even think about this.

It was all nice to dream about it and stuff but actually getting to know someone or starting a relationship is a huge deal. Meeting him twice was no more than a miracle but it's not going to happen she knows it. He's way way up there and she's somewhere down. Only if she knew what was actually going on in his mind she would realise that it's actually quite opposite.

" I don't understand you at all cutie! I mean he was into you!!!! Get that into the thick brain of yours. He didn't judge for the way you looked he had a gleam in his eyes when he was talking to you both of us saw it, right Isha?" Neena made her point looking for Isha to back her up.

"She's right Naina! I mean how long are you going to be like this? Don't you want to experience how it is be in a relationship? He does adore you. It's weird but when both of you are around each other it's like you guys are in your own world. What's the harm in going out just this once." Isha prodded her, Naina was losing her patience by the minute.

She glared at the both of them and decided to walk away, she did not want to open that topic right now. This would only end up in a heated argument and the three of them will end up fighting.

She stood up abruptly and was walking as fast as she could walk towards their room. "Naina stop", "Naina wait!" Neena and Isha ran behind her trying to catch up. They weren't going to give up that easily. They knew there was something bigger that was bothering her. They were aware about her past experienced but could not decipher completely as Naina had given only half the details.

They knew how insecure she was but they had to know the truth at least today. Naina reached the room and closed the door with a bang and was breathing in and out trying calm her raging emotions.

No friends would prod to date the way they are doing but they just had this feeling that it was the right thing therefore their constant insistence. As weird as that sounds sometimes a gut feeling can be the very accurate.

Neena and Isha followed her back. Today they weren't going to let this go without getting the truth out of her. They had to know what that asshole Vivaan had done to damage their friend so much. "You can't run away everytime we decide to have this conversation!!!" Isha entered the room with Neena and shouted at Naina.

Naina had her back turned and was trying to control her breathing. She knew she had to tell them what exactly had happened and especially today they weren't going to let that go. " Naina you have to tell us what exactly happened? We know that he left you but we still don't know the exact details. How are we supposed to help you when you don't tell us the complete truth?" Neena added her point moved towards Naina and made her face them.

Naina was crying and trying to wipe her tears quickly so that Neena and Isha will not notice it, but they had already seen it and were sad to see her cry. " I'll tell you what exactly happened. A year ago when things were finally starting to fall in place for me. I was feeling more confident and I just felt really good about myself which was practically non existent or there were very rare occasions when I felt like that. Anyway, this guy from my college he was doing his MBA so he asked me out. I was shocked, I mean without a doubt there are better girls in the campus." Neena and Isha did not appreciate the last comment and glared at Naina but didn't interrupt her.

"I hate to admit this but he was very handsome tall maybe 6ft, plays a guitar and sings too, not to mention he was really popular in our college. My college friends warned me again and again not to fall for his trap, they insisted that I should not have any sort of acquaintance with him" Naina closed her eyes, Isha and Neena stood beside her with each of their hands on her shoulders supporting.

" What happened then? So he asked you out. What was your response?" Isha asked and Neena was rubbing her shoulders. Naina let a huge sigh out and nodded her head.

" Like I mentioned before he asked me out but I outright denied him and his proposal. I didn't want to date and stuff so he did something unexpected he stared wooing me with like I'm not even joking it was like some teen romance. Not to mention I was really flattered and this was the first time a boy was giving me his undivided attention. Maybe that's why I fell for him and his trap. He even gifted me some accessories of course now I threw them away. We did click really well, we had the same hobbies and he was great. After a lot of prodding from his side I said yes to a date." Naina scoffed " If only it was a real date. He took me to this restaurant which his dad owned, yeah he's a rich too. The perfect combination right. They do tell that rich kids can be such assholes well whoever said that knew what they were talking about." Naina's hands were fisted and she was trying to not let this affect her.

" Okay so he took me on a date and it was going well for a while, then suddenly I realized he was recording whatever we were talking about. I was baffled, I immediately got up and confronted him , what the actual fuck was going on. He was all like "Don't worry babe I'm just recording our conversations so that we can always listen to it in the future". I could not believe him. I didn't buy that bullshit. I up front asked him what this crap was and if he had done this before. I was seething with anger. How dare he record all our conversations."

Naina took another deep breath yet again and tried to remind herself that it's over and done. " What happened then?" Neena asked yet again rubbing Naina's arms trying to soothe her. "What he said next shook the ground beneath me like literally. I thought that happens only in books or whatever but no no it happens in reality too. He was all like " Stop overreacting so much it's just a recording it's not like I took your nude pictures or something also I had to record it. This whole thing was just a dare. My friends challenged me that I could never take you out on a date but here we are. Hope you don't mind. This was just a game for me. Also you're just average looking you should loose a little more weight then maybe this could be a real thing."

" Can you believe he had the audacity to sit there with such a chill attitude and blabber all that shit. It drove me crazy I could not believe that I was a conquest and he, he said such vile things after that I could not just sit there and take it anymore. I got up and poured all the food that was there on the table on him while he sat there all shocked. Took some pictures of him like that. He thought I would not react but he was so so wrong. I forwarded those pictures to his perverted friends and warned all of them to stay away from me. Of course after that he made my life a living hell in college. Taunted me every chance he got but one professor saw this and complained to his parents which of course again did not turn well for him . He lost his image or whatever." Naina recited the whole incident she was exhausted while Isha and Neena looked shocked.

She had never told them about this. They knew that an asshole had told her some mean things and shattered her self esteem but they weren't aware that she had to endure so much. " Why didn't you tell any of us about this? We were there for you all the time, you didn't tell us the severity of the situation." Neena ask a that angrily. They always shared stuff.

"Are you kidding me ? We were so busy that time. Isha was in her last year and you had so many things to do labs to attend. We barely spoke so I just didn't think it was that important to burden you girls with all this information!!!" Naina replied sadly.

" Okay fine just forget about it! From now on we're making a pact that no matter what we'll share the things that bother us no matter how busy we are. Deal?" Isha asked looking at Neena And Naina. " Fine deal but please don't start with this dating thing again and again. I have just started loving me and living life. I want it to be like that for a while. Please please don't talk about Viraj again. I'll admit one thing okay I do like him a lot but I don't really know him and right now I don't think I'm ready for all of this too. So let it be okay, if I want to talk to him I'll tell you both immediately. Sounds cool?"
Naina asked looking at the both of them.

"Okay fine we'll not bring it up again. But I'm forwarding you his number okay. HA! You like him. I knew it!" Isha replied with a smirk and Neena laughed. "Okay okay before you shout at me I'm not being a pushover I'm just being the catalyst you know to speed up that process. You take your time text him or call him whenever you want to." Isha replied smirking yet again and forwarded the number to her.

Naina's phone pinged and she looked at it laughing a little. "Look Naina Vivaan was an asshole okay just forget about it. You know you are the most beautiful woman inside and out." Isha hugged her and Neena too joined the hug. " I could not have said it better. We love you Naina."

All of them were in a group hug. Naina cried and hugged them tighter. She felt much better after sharing this with them. It might not seem like a big deal for many people but many girls struggle with their body image and its not easy at all.

It can cause anxiety and depression which might affect both their mental and physical well being. She knows about this and she's thankful that she had her friends and family with her to help her get through this. She was grateful for to have them in her life.

After that neither Isha nor Neena had bought that topic again. It had been almost 2 weeks since that emotional conversation. Naina so badly wanted to text Viraj she was about to do it but she's as usual scared and all her insecurities gushed at once.

Well that's that she closed her WhatsApp and kept her phone aside and screamed into her palms. " No I'm not doing this! Not the right time."

Just when she was about to get up two small hands wrapped around her neck. It was Veer the small boy she had meet that day who refused to let her go. She somehow had made an unbreakable bond with him. " Veer what are you doing here? You are supposed to be in bed. Why are you up?"

He ignored her question and sat on her lap and buried his face in her chest. Naina looked at him and hugged him tighter rubbing his back to calm him. "Bad Bad dweam" Veer replied his voice muffled as he was hugging Naina. "Oh no you had a bad dream? It's okay come on let's put you back in bed" Naina was about to get up when Veer tightened his grip around her neck and was shaking his head no.

"Veer come on you know I can't do that. You have to go back but don't worry I'll be there until you fall asleep okay." Veer looked at her and nooded his head slowly not liking the fact that she was going away again.

Naina got up and moved towards where the toddlers were sleeping with Veer in her arms. She removed his shoes and laid him down on his single bed. She covered him with a duvet. "Good night Veer! Sweet dreams! Dream about chocolate land!" with that she kissed his forehead running her fingers through his head. Veer smiled at her gesture and feel asleep immediately, once he was in deep sleep and off to his dreamland she exited the toddlers room making sure everyone was sleeping and went to her room to sleep.

Veer was a nice boy he had just turned 3. His teachers were shocked to have heard him talk for the very first time with Naina. He had never spoken before. He had been here only for 6 months and was lost. His mom had passed away and his dad was a drunkard who used to beat him up everyday.

Veer had been so traumatised that even though he was a smart child he was not willing to talk at all. Thank God one of the neighbours had witnessed this gruesome act and had his father  arrested. The police were the ones who had bought Veer to this orphanage. Poor Veer didn't even make eye contact with anyone for weeks and then finally after everything was better he started smiling and playing normally but he still gets scared a lot and has a some bad days. His first words were actually "Nea" he was trying to say Naina , that day was the best day in her life. She and her friends cried so much that day.

Sister Brenda had spoken to Naina about Veer. She was happy to see their bond but was also scared. What will happen to him when Naina leaves after a month? So she politely requested Naina to keep away from Veer as much as possible. It was not an easy task at all. The more she tried to move away from him the more Veer would attach himself to her and if she didn't meet him even once in a day he would throw a lot of tantrums. She was worried but trying her best to keep away from him. She's going to miss that little guy when she leaves.

How can people be so cruel Naina thought about Veer's past he was such a good boy and tried to sleep which was far away from her. After an hour about tossing and turning she finally fell asleep. It was decided that the three girls would go out tomorrow and roam around a bit.

What she didn't know was that she would meet a certain someone again tomorrow. The real question was would it be worth or not?

Oh my god I'm so happy that internals are finally over and I can come back to writing. I missed Naina and Viraj so much! What about you guys? Did you miss them?

So this chapter had a lot of flashbacks and I hope you didn't get confused cause I got a little confused while writing 😂. Nevertheless I hope you enjoyed this chapter!

Veer is such a cutie right? I totally love him he already had my heart! Poor baby has been through so much in just 3 years of his existence. But don't worry he's a strong boy and will get through everything!
