Naina was tapping her foot and waiting impatiently for her husband to arrive. He had promised her a date night while Neel and Indu were watching over their kids. Tanya had just turned two months old and she was so cute. Veer was ever so protective of her. He would spend hours with her, talking and singing to her.

Naina was scared that Veer would feel neglected if Naina spent more time with the new baby but to her suprise her boy was so understanding and reliable. He would even help Naina when she tried to calm a distressed Tanya. What surprised her the most was how Tanya would stop crying and stare at her brother with big curious eyes.

Naina sighed as she stared at she phone screen that had the picture of her kids. She didn't want to leave them but Annie and Indu didn't listen to her and forced her to get ready. According them she needed to loosen up and chill. Which is ture because she had been anxious and tense since Tanya was born. So, she agreed and a few hours later she was waiting at a  restaurant.

Viraj was supposed to be here half an hour ago. Naina called him once again. "Viraj where are you?" Naina asked him with a sigh. She was really looking forward to spend some time with him. Ever since Tanya was born  their hands had been full. They didn't get much alone time so to go on a date with him today meant a lot to her.

"I'm sorry Naina! I was on my way but then something came up. I'm almost done with it. I'm so sorry. I'll make it up to you. I love you." Naina smiled because she knew Viraj always kept his promise. "Viraj! It's okay take your time. Don't worry about me! I think this restaurant has a bookstore attached to it!!! I'll go there. When you come here you know where to find me!"

Naina exclaimed excitedly. Viraj laughed at his wife's enthusiasm. "Okay ma'am! I'll find you when I get there. Enjoy and call me if anything comes up. I love you too!" Naina smiled and cut the call with a bye. The inner little girl in her wanted to scream in joy when she spotted the bookstore right when she was on the call with her husband. But she was an adult now so she controlled her emotions and walked to the bookstore with a gleam on her face.

She walked inside the bookstore and the owner smiled sweetly at her. She smiled back and took her time admiring the books that were stacked in the shelf. She brushed her fingers through the covers of the books and walked until she found what she had been looking for.

It had been a while since she sat down and read a book. So, to be back here made her feel home. Ever since she was a kid Naina always found books and words fascinating. She admired how authors could transport people into a different world with mere words. She wanted to do that. She had been contemplating that idea for a long time now.

She thought that when the time would be right she'll talk to Viraj about it. She knew he would never say no but instead encourage her. All she needed was a little bit courage because putting yourself out there isn't an easy task. But, she was willing to do it.

All these thoughts were looming in her head when she found a perfect book. She pulled it out of the shelf and read the synopsis. It was pretty interesting. She picked up all the books that were part of that series and beamed with happiness.

She was about to go to the billing counter when she heard some whispers coming from behind the next rack. Naina frowned and followed the noise because the voice sounded familiar. She walked slowly and cautiously towards the rack. She peeped through the gaps. To her horror it was none other than her tormentor slash ex boyfriend Vivaan talking to some random girl.

She gasped softly and her eyes widened. Naina didn't want to see his face today out of all the other days. He was such an ass. She didn't have  paticence nor the time to come face to face with him. Before he could notice she collected her books and walked away to the billing counter.

Unfortunately, that asshole had noticed her. He pushed the flirty girl he was talking with and followed her footsteps with an evil smirk on his face. "Vivaan! Babe! Where are you going? J thought we were going to do it in here?" Vivaan kissed the girl and winked at her. "We will darling! Just not yet. Give me a minute! I'll be back okay?"

She morphed her fake lips into a pout and nodded her head. Naina tapped her feet and waited for the lady at the counter to generate her bill as soon as possible. Naina's breath quickened and she tapped feet impatiently. "Here you go! Thanks for shopping!" Naina smiled warily at the lady and sprinted out of the store.

Once out of the store she took a deep breath. She wasn't sacred of him but she hated when all those bad memories gushed into her barin. It was like all of a sudden someone in her head was whispering "Ugly, fat, not pretty, not good enough, time waste!" All these words rang in her ears.

She jerked when someone clapped behind her. It was none other than Vivaan. He smirked at her and she made a neural face. "Well, well! If it isn't for the great Naina Rao! Ohh you have lost quite a lot of weight but still not what I want."

"What the fuck is your problem? Leave me alone! We have moved on!" She snapped at him and was about to walk away. But that asshole held her hand and pulled her back. She gritted her teeth and freed herself. "Stay in your limits! Don't touch me asshole?" He threw his head back and let out a sinister laugh.

"Ohhh you're saying that? Don't forget once upon a time you were dying to be with me? Followed me around like a lost puppy? Have you forgotten all fo that?" Naina felt queasy being so close to him. His perfume was choking her. She pulled her hand away and shoved his chest.

"Stay in your bloody limits! You don't know how to respect women and have no consideration towards their feelings." He laughed and shook his head. It didn't even bother him for a second that she had accused him of something. "Oh don't get so emotional! It was all innocent fun Naina! Anyway, I bet no one still wants to marry you or be with a woman like you! This is probably the most attention you'll get from men. So enjoy it!"

Naina's blood boiled and her nose flared. She could kill him if she could but she was better than that. "For your information not every man out there is like you. I'm happily married by the way!" Vivaan stared at her for a few seconds and burst out laughing like it was the most funniest joke he had ever heard.

Naina's eyes filled with tears of humiliation as she realised people were actually watching them. "That's funny! But I'm willing to believe you. Whoever that unlucky soul might be? I pity him. Don't get too comfortable! The day he finds someone better than you he's going to leave! Mark my words!"

Naina's breathing fastened as his words hit her and cracked her heart into pieces. Just then Viraj arrived, he was standing right behind Naina. His fists clenched as he heard what that asshole had spoken to his wife. Naina staggered back and Viraj held her shoulders.

"Who the fuck are you to say such things to my wife?" Vivaan smirked. "Oh so you are the husband huh? That's unfortunate! She's not that great but a pretty good time pass, right?" Viraj fumed without even thinking for a second he punched Vivaan who staggered back and screamed in agony as his nose bled.

"You asshole! How dare you touch me? I can throw you behind the bars for this!" Naina snapped and pulled Viraj back as he was about to hit him again. "Viraj! Let it go! Let's not stoop as low as him! Come on let's leave!" Viraj stared at Naina who pleaded him with her eyes.

Viraj's eyes softened, he turned to him once again and pulled him by his collar. "Don't mess with my wife ever again! Get that through you head! I can kill you and bury your body. No one will ever find out!" Vivaan gulped and nodded his head. "AM I CLEAR? I WANT WORDS!"

"Okay! I'm sorry let me go! This was just innocent fun!" Viraj scoffed and shoved him. "Playing with people's emotions and commenting on them is not fun!" He warned him once again and walked away with Naina by his side. Naina sighed but her insecurities surfaced once again. She had thoughts that made her rethink what Viraj actually felt for her.

She had a blank face the entire time. Viraj sighed as he looked at his wife. They were seated at their table. "Naina? Don't let whatever he said affect you! I love you! Don't even for a second think that I will leave you!" He held her hand. Naina sighed and nodded her head but Viraj knew it was all an act.

They had a silent dinner. Her previously chirpy mood gone. Viraj sighed and paid the bill. He hated that she didn't speak anything. It was driving him insane. He decided this wasn't the right place to talk to her. On the way home they picked up Tanya and Veer. Both their kids were sleeping.

Naina carried Tanya and Viraj carried Veer to their rooms. Naina had set up another room for Tanya with her stuff.  Naina placed Tanya in her crib and kissed her chubby cheek. She tucked a light blanket around her. "I love you baby!" Tanya cooed in her sleep. That was the only thing that made her smile.

She left the door open and took the baby monitor with her just in case Tanya woke up. Viraj was starting at the scene before him. Naina gave him a small smile and walked to Veer's room. She brushed his hair and kissed his cheek. "I love you!" Veer smiled in his sleep and Naina was content.

She can't believe that her date night had been spoilt by that asshole. She sighed and went to the washroom to change her clothes. Viraj walked into their room and sighed. He changed into his pyjamas and laid on the bed. Naina walked into the room and found her husband with his arm around his face.

Naina sighed and laid beside him. She closed her eyes. She gasped and opened her eyes when she felt Viraj's breath fanning over her neck. "Do you really think that I'll leave you?" Naina's eyes glistened with tears and she sobbed. Viraj sighed as his heart cracked when he saw the woman he loved break down.

He laid beside her and pulled her towards his chest. "Shh! Stop Naina I would never leave you. You're beautiful just the way you are!" She shook her head and sobbed into his chest. "He said that you will find someone else and leave me! I can't I can't even think about that! It's too painful to even comprehend that!"

She sobbed into his chest and her voice cracked. Viraj sighed, he knew this was hard for her. Naina's usually confident but once in awhile she has these wild thoughts. Today was one of those days as that asshole had filled her ears with bullshit.

He pushed her into the bed and hovered over her frame. Naina was still crying and trying to catch her breath. "Hey look at me! Take deep breaths! Calm down! I'm not going anywhere!" Viraj was breathing above her and telling her to do the same. Naina nodded her head and followed his queue.

Once she was calm enough be pulled her closer and placed a long sweet kiss on her forehead. "That's it! There you go!" Naina sighed and wrapped her arms around him. Viraj wiped her tears and kissed her cheek.

"I love you so much! I love the way you are. Who said you aren't pretty?" Naina shook her head and kissed his cheek. "I know I just, it's so hard sometimes! I thought I was over it but I don't know sometimes it's very hard to accept that!" Viraj sighed and kissed her head once again.

Viraj kissed her eyes and then moved his lips across her cheeks. Naina sighed and ran her fingers through his hair. "Your face is so beautiful! Perfect!" He kissed her lips and sighed against his mouth. She moaned when he pushed his tongue inside her mouth.

Their tounges tangled and Naina moaned as she tasted him. She pulled away when she couldn't breathe anymore. Viraj panted against her mouth. He moved his lips against her jaw moving down he kissed her neck. "I love every inch of this body and it's all mine."

Naina gasped when he sucked on her neck. He slowly removed her shirt and threw it on the floor. Naina marvelled as she stared at his body. It had been a while since they had made love. He removed his shirt as well and threw it at the growing pile. He kissed her shoulder and pushed her bra straps down her shoulders.

Naina moaned his name. "I love every inch of the ridges that are on your body!" He unhooked her bra and threw it across the room. Naina gasped when he fondled with one mound and sucked on the other one. Naina wrapped her arms around his neck and flipped their bodies.

Now he was laying on his back while Naina hovered over him. Viraj smiled at his wife and tucked the hair that was falling over her face. "I love you so much! Please don't ever leave me!" Viraj's heart broke when he heard that.

"Never! I would die if I have to!" Naina shook her head and tears fell from her eyes. "Don't ever say that! I love you so much!" Naina straddled him and kissed him passionately. She pushed her tongue into his mouth and tangled it with his. She moaned as she felt his hardness against her stomach.

Naina slowly slid his pants along with his boxers throwing it on the floor. She grabbed his long length and moved her hand across it.  "Naina!" Viraj growled. Naina smiled and showered kisses over his chest. She moved further down and sucked his length into her mouth.

Viraj growled and held her head as she bobbed she head up and down. "Naina stop! I want to come inside you!" Naina was about to protest but Viraj pulled her up and hovered over her frame. Within a second he thrust into her. Naina gasped and dug her nails in his back.

"Oh! Don't stop!" Viraj chuckled raspily and moved faster. "Come for me Naina!" She arched her back and moaned loudly. Viraj smiled at the sight before him. It was so beautiful, even though Naina would disagree.

He moved inside her for a few more times and growled as he emptied in her. Their breaths mingled as they panted against each other. "I love you and I'm never leaving you! Get that through the thick head of yours. That asshole was spouting nonsense."

Viraj exclaimed and kissed her head that was covered with sweat. Naina smiled warmly at her husband and placed a long sweet kiss on his lips. "I love you so much!" Viraj smiled as his grey eyes twinkled. He kissed her again.

After the amazing love making both of them were exhausted. They freshened up and changed into comfortable clothes. Viraj pulled her closer, they hugged each other tightly and fell into deep slumber.

The next morning Naina sighed and glanced at Viraj. Her eyes glistened with tears as she realised how much he meant to her. She was so happy to have found him. He erased her insecurities with his every touch. She knew it was stupid to listen to that asshole Vivaan but sometimes when you have an overthinking brain that is more than enough to fuel your negative thoughts.

Naina heard a cry coming form the other room. It had almost been three hours since Tanya had been feed. Naina pushed the duvet away from her legs and walked towards where Tanya's crib was there. To her suprise she could hear Veer's voice coming from the room.

Naina smiled and her heart melted when she saw Veer speaking cutely to his sister. Tanya had stopped crying but she was still whimpering. Her big grey eyes widened as she looked curiously at Veer. But Naina had to step in because Tanya was sucking on her fingers which clearly indicated that she was hungry.

"Oh Tanny! Don't cry! Mumma and Papa are sleeping. I'll take care of you. I'll sing for you." Naina laughed when she heard Tanya's tiny cries. She went towards Veer when she saw his distressed face. "Veer! It's okay big boy! I'll take care of her." Veer hugged his mom and Naina ruffled his hair.

Even before Naina could start feeding Tanya Veer leaned against Naina and fell asleep. Naina smiled after Tanya was content she fell asleep against Naina's shoulder. She sighed contently when she stared at her kids. She loved them to pieces.

Naina leaned her head against the couch that was in her room and fell asleep. That's how Viraj found them after a few hours. He thanked god everyday for giving him such an amazing family. He clicked some of their pictures and decided to put them in their beds.

Afterall it was very early in the morning and they were lucky that it was the weekend. Viraj first picked up Veer and laid him on his bed. Then he slowly removed Tanya from Naina's embrace. He placed her carefully in the crib and tucked a blanket around her. He kissed her chubby cheek as she sighed cutely.

Naina blinked her eyes open when she realised Tanya wasn't in her arms. She grinned when she saw Viraj tucking her in the crib. He then moved towards Naina and picked her in his arms. Naina opened her eyes and shrieked. "Can you put me down?"

Viraj laughed and shook his head. "Nice acting! I knew you were awake!" Naina rolled her eyes and was about to protest. "Don't you dare tell me that you weigh heavy and blah and blah!" Naina shut her mouth as he placed her on the bed.

"I wasn't going to say that!" Naina pouted as Viraj laughed and laid beside her. " I was umm going to ask why you were awake!" Viraj rolled his eyes and covered her with a duvet and pulled it over his body as well."

"Oh please! I'm willing to bet a million dollars that you were going to say that!" Viraj once again laughed when Naina's face turned angry. He kissed her cheek. "You're so cute when you're angry!" Naina swatted his chest. "Shut up!"

Viraj pulled her closer and sighed contently. "Okay Mrs.Gupta! Now go to bed!" Naina smiled, she closed her eyes and buried her face in his chest. Viraj grinned and caressed her back. They had each other's backs when things got tough. No matter how many times Naina felt insecure he would always be there to make her feel loved just like she did with him.

He hugged her tightly and basked in the moment. He memorized the feelings and this moment. It was moments like this that made him  fight harder to get back to his family. His wife, son and daughter were his lifelines. Sighing he closed his eyes and fell into deep slumber.
