Meera sighed as Veer stood right behind Karan. Veer was on the verge of screaming when Suraj came back from his phone call. For the first time today, Meera wanted to hug Suraj and thank him for showing up at the right time. "Hello, Veer! Hope everything is under control now? Is what's his name? Nakul, right? Is he in the interrogation room now?"

Veer gritted his teeth but nodded. "Yes, we're waiting for Officer Khan. He said he'll be here in a few and wants to see what Nakul has to say." Veer gritted out the entire sentence all the while clenching his jaw. Meera's heart was pounding but she was going to stand by what she said before.

She wasn't going to back out. This way she can actually make sure that he's safe and she doesn't have to deal with the anxiety part. "That's good! Anyway, I forgot! Meera meets Captian Veer Gupta, he heads the other team. Now both our teams are joined and we're going to be working together."

Meera gave him a small smile and nodded. "Veer meet Meera Raichand! I have recruited her newly! She's going to be an amazing addition! I have seen her track record they are so good!" Suraj threw a bunch of compliments and Meera cursed internally when he wrapped his arms around her shoulder.

Veer clenched his hands in a tight fist. He was glaring at the meaty hands that were on Meera's shoulders. Meera had wished that she should have never wished for witnessing something like this. "Hello, Miss Raichand! It's a pleasure to meet you!" Veer forwarded his hands for a handshake.

Meera gulped, she wiped her clammy hands against her jeans and forwarded her hands. She felt electricity run through her body when Veer's warm hands clasped her's and he gave it a firm shake squeezing it hard on purpose.

"Right, now that you've met, Meera comes to the office I'll draw up your paperwork. You can sign and after that, I'll introduce you to the rest of the team. Take your time I'll see you in the office!" Suraj's phone rang again so he excused himself and walked away towards his office.

Karan glanced back and forth between them. He didn't know what to say, but he definitely sensed the weird tension. He cleared his throat and excused himself. Before Veer could say anything Meera cleared her throat and excused herself. "Um, I got to go! Suraj called me! I'll see you later Veer!" She added the last part a bit too cheerfully.

She sprinted away before Veer could stop her. Veer on the other hand let out a frustrated breath. He was about to follow her but Officer Khan had called him. He didn't know what the fuck to do! He felt like everything was falling apart. If Meera began working here and if she gets herself involved in the mission then things were definitely going to get hard.

Meera breathed out a gush of air when she reached Suraj's office. He was still on the phone. He held out two fingers gesturing her to give a couple of minutes. Meera flinched when her phone pinged. Ever since she saw Veer here everything was making her jumpy.

"Meera come out now! I need to talk to you! Don't you dare sign that contract! I swear to god! I'm losing my God damn mind here!" Meera began fuming, she was her own person and will do whatever the hell she likes. This was completely ridiculous.

"Veer we'll talk later! This is my own decision! I want to work here! If you have a problem we'll discuss it later! That's it! Now if you'll excuse me I have much more important things to do!" She read through the message once again and hit the send button with a confident smile. She wasn't someone who took shit from him. If he pushed her then she will push him back harder.

She put her phone on silent as Suraj began briefing her about the contract and all the rules that needed to be followed. Meera felt a bit guilty when she read the clause that stated you shouldn't let anyone know that you work for TIIS. This was probably the reason why Veer had been so secretive about his missions.

Meera shook her head and tried to clear all her thoughts about Veer. Every time she thought about him she felt guilty. This was her decision and she was her own person, she can do whatever the hell she wanted. She read through the contract again, making sure there were no loopholes, and finally signed it. Suraj gave her a huge smile. "Welcome to the team Miss Raichand! We're going to make an amazing team!" She thanked him and shook his hand.

A few seconds later both of them flinched when Veer barged into the room. His eyes fell on their clasped hands and his anger went up a notch. He wanted to scream at her for doing something this crazy! How could she do this to him? "Veer, you're right on time! Meera here is finally part of our team!"

Meera pulled her hand away from Suraj and gave him a tentative smile. "That's great! Do you mind if I speak to her for a moment? In private? Now that she's officially part of the team I need to tell her a few things!" Meera gulped when he said that. She didn't want this to happen this way. She wasn't going to back up besides he can't do anything, she had already signed the contract.

Suraj eyed the two of them with a weird look on his face. He had never seen Veer this frustrated or insane. Sure, he was always angry and a stuck-up asshole but this was definitely different. "Sure, you can Veer umm but Officer Khan has arrived and he wants to see what information Nakul has for us! So, we should go. Especially you since he's asking you to lead the interrogation."

Veer cursed under his breath. Suraj was right. Officer Khan had arrived which was why he was late to stop Meera. He had already sent a text to everyone informing them to be present in the room as soon as possible. Veer let out a huge breath. Fuck Everything! He just wanted to have a normal relationship with Meera but that doesn't seem to be happening. Above all Veer never wanted Meera to witness how lethal he can be with his enemies. She had witnessed it once or twice but that was only the tip of an iceberg.

"Alright, then! Let's go!" Suraj placed all the papers in the drawer and locked it using a small key. He pocketed the key and Veer eyed it carefully. He was going to destroy the papers which Meera had signed. That sounded insane but it was one of his ideas if the other ones don't work out. "Come on let's go!" Saying so he happily walked out of the room.

Meera stood up to follow him but Veer blocked the door. She glared at him. "Veer move!" She screamed. Veer however had other plans. All the events that had unfolded today had struck his patience in the wrong way. The last straw was when Suraj had put his hands on something that belonged to him. His Meera! No other male except him had the right to touch her.

"Veer! Move for the love of god! Didn't you hear Suraj! Officer Khan is waiting for you so that you can interrogate him." Veer smirked at Meera's nervous expression. A plan had already been formed. He wasn't going to let her work here. He steadily stalked towards her and Meera stepped back.

She gasped when her back touched the wall. A weird yet similar sensation ran down her body. "W-what t-the hell are you doing? W-We need to go right now! T-They are waiting for you!" Meera stuttered. She could barely form her sentences. He leaned forward and placed his hands on either side of her head.

He ran his nose along her neck and kissed the spot above her collar bone. Meera moaned, he was doing all of this to get his way. She will not fall for it. "We have time Meera! We have time! I need to be there in about twenty minutes. The real question is why the hell did you sign the contract when I precisely told you not to do so?"

He whispered against her lips and traced her bottom lip with his calloused thumb. Meera swallowed the lump in her throat. Her mind was blank and her body was hyper-aware of Veer's presence. "Firstly, you and I are going to have a long talk about this decision that you have just made! Don't think your off the hook! I'm not letting this go! How can you do this to me? Take the decision just like that?"

Meera glared at him and tried to free herself by shoving his chest but Veer gripped her hand and slammed it against the wall above her head. "I'm not done yet, sweetheart! Don't interrupt me!" He leaned forward and whispered against her neck, placing a long kiss. Meera's body convulsed. What the fuck is he doing to her?

"Now for the second thing as long as you're here which by the way won't be for long! Don't fucking let Suraj touch you! I mean it!" He growled with a menacing look. Meera panted and twisted her wrist. She freed one of her hands and glared at him.

"What the fuck Veer? Let me go!" Veer was looking at Meera's struggle with an amusing look on his face. He had to remind her that only he can touch her. No one else is allowed to do that! Without even a second thought he gripped her perfect waist and yanked her until their chests were pressed against each other.

Meera sucked in a breath, before she could comprehend what was happening he slammed her lips against hers. Meera stopped struggling. She ranked her fingers over his hair and opened her mouth. They moved their lips vigorously, their teeth clashed and they tasted each other, savored each other like there was no tomorrow.

Meera had forgotten everything. Tingles ran down her body. Wetness pooled between her legs. She wanted more, she wanted all of him and she wanted it right here. Veer smirked internally. He was making out with his girl in Suraj's office. If that doesn't speak loudly he doesn't know what else does. His ego was satisfied. Suraj is nothing but a mosquito who irritates him.

Meera pulled away and panted. Her subconscious mind cursed at her for giving in. "You're such an idiot! He's distracting you!" But Meera could care less. She moaned when he slightly pulled down her sleeves and sucked on her shoulder where Suraj had tainted by placing his meaty hands.

"Veer, fuck! What are you doing?" Meera asked while trying to catch her breath. "I'm reminding you as to who exactly you belong to! That man touched you! I'm marking you!" He sucked her shoulder until there was a bright red mark.

Then he pulled the hand with which Meera had given him a handshake. He kissed her palm. Meera giggled when it ticked her. Sparks were running down her body. Veer was feeling no better. His emotions were all over the place. He wanted to be mad at her but at the same time, he wanted to stake his claim. He was hard. Meera gasped when she felt it against her stomach.

"Veer, that's um enough! What is wrong with you? Aren't you supposed to be mad at me?" Veer smiled against her skin and rained kisses from her palm up to her arm. When he reached her neck he sucked on her soft skin. Meera once again moaned and all her questions went down the drain. He pulled away and stared at her beautiful face.

Her lips were swollen and parted as she tried to catch her breath and her cheeks were flushed. "Who said that I'm not mad at you? If we weren't here right now I would have thought you a proper lesson for not listening to me!" Meera gulped. What had gotten into him? Why was he making so many innuendos?

"I was just staking my claim girlfriend! You belong to me and only me!" He growled at her and his pupils dilated. He was about to give her another warning but his phone rang interrupting his flow. "Hello!" Veer growled into the phone.

"Veer you need to come here, man! Officer Khan is already here! Oh and get Meera too! I know she's with you! I need answers soon!" Veer rolled his eyes but he cursed under his breath. There goes their plan of keeping their relationship under the radar. "I'll be there in two! As for Meera, I'm sure she'll come! Maybe she's in the washroom!"

Veer lied right through his teeth and Karan cut the call with a huff, not believing what he said. Meera was still trying to digest what had just happened between the two of them. She had expected him to blast off but for some reason, he had handled the situation maturely. But, she can't conclude yet.

He looked at Meera who was staring at the wall behind him with a frown on her face. "Meera, we have to go!" Meera whipped her head to look at him and scrutinized his face. "Don't think this conversation is over! You and I are going to have a long talk!" He opened the door and walked out of the room.

Meera took deep breaths and bought her emotions under control. She pulled her sleeves up and made sure the hickey was covered. She was yet to discover things about this new Veer. One thing stood clear, Veer is going to start a fight. No matter what Veer says Meera was going to be a part of this organization and work with him on this mission. The conversation tonight is definitely going to be an interesting one.

A few minutes later one of her teammates Diya who she had previously met when Meera had secretly followed Veer led her towards the interrogation room. She was even happy that Meera had joined. Apparently, the other girl Dhwani was always a bit over the top and acting like a bitch. Meera wasn't surprised because she had worked with Dhwani in the past.

Once they reached the room Meera noticed that Veer was inside the interrogation room and everyone else was watching through the glass on the other side. There were exactly seven of them including Officer Khan who Meera was yet to be introduced to. He seemed like a wise man and she had even heard about him once or twice from her father.

"Well, well who do we have here! It's so good to see you!" Meera's eyes widened when she saw Kabir standing next to her and looking through the glass. "Oh my god! You're here too?" Kabir shrugged his shoulders with his hands tucked in his pockets.

"It's been a day! So, Suraj whose team we're part of likes the way we worked as a team! So he recruited us together! I was surprised!" Meera giggled but frowned when she saw Veer's body turn tense as he began speaking. "I'm happy that we're in this together!"

Kabir laughed and pointed at Veer. "I bet lover boy on the other hand won't appreciate it as much as you will! Although I would love to see his reaction!" Meera almost choked when Kabir referred to Veer as a lover boy. She wanted to protest but Veer's voice boomed through the speaker.

"Why the fuck did you do it?" Veer bellowed and slapped him. Nakul spat the blood on the floor and began laughing. "I bed you cursed yourself for choosing me!" Veer was losing his control. He was about to punch him again but Officer Khan's voice boomed in the room.

"Veer cool it! We just need information! Don't need to lose your mind over the trivial things that he says!" Veer clenched his fist and glared at Nakul who was smirking but he did agree with what Officer Khan said, this bastard was instigating him.

"Fine, I'll get to the point Nakul! Tell me everything you know about Jeffery, Adam, and this Charlie! I need answers now!" Veer gritted out and Nakul cackled. "You are not going to get anything from me! Do you really think they are that stupid to tell me anything? You on the other hand are!"

Veer growled and plucked the pocket knife from his pocket. He stabbed it into Nakul's hand. "Nakul! You do know something and I want to know what that is! We can either do this the hard way or the easy way! The choice is yours!" Nakul was screaming in pain. This time Officer Khan didn't interrupt him because Veer did the right thing. Assholes like Nakul won't open their mouths otherwise.

"Tell me what you fucking know about the three of them!" Veer pushed the knife further into his hand and blood spurted out. Nakul screamed in agony. "Stop it! Take it out!" Nakul trashed he couldn't move an inch as his other hand was handcuffed to the table.

All of them watched the entire scene with stoic expressions on their faces. Meera was shocked to see this side of Veer but her real expression was concealed. She knew he was lethal but she didn't know he was this crazy.

"Give me the fucking details and I'll try to spare you! I'm only going to torture you more!" Veer pressed the knife harder and Nakul let out another scream. "Okay! I'll tell you what I know! Take it out please!"

"Start talking and then I'll see what I can do!" Nakul swallowed and his eyelids dropped. He had already been beaten a lot and now his body was shutting down. "I-I can tell you about Charlie and where you can find him but Adam and Jeffrey I don't know anything about them!" He muttered tiredly and Veer finally pulled out the knife. He wiped off the blood with a tissue and gestured at him to keep talking.

"Uh, Charlie is supposed to be the mediator between the members of the gang and Adam and Jeffrey. Usually, everyone who gets recruited into the organization doesn't know anything about Adam and Jeffrey except for a selected bunch." Nakul took deep breaths and Veer bellowed at him to continue.

"So, as for Adam, even the older members think that he's dead. Jeffery usually steps in once in a while but it's always Charlie who's giving out orders." Veer nodded and listened to him intently as did the others. Meera crossed her arms across her chest and sighed. Everything was fucked up and it's up to them to catch these three.

"Okay! Where can we find this Charlie? I need the truth! If whatever you say turns to be a lie then I swear to god I'll break your skull!" Nakul quivered with fear. He swallowed the lump in his throat. This was when he felt the guilt of betraying his country creep in. Why the fuck did he do this to himself? Just for some more money? He was sure as hell regretting his decision.

"I-I'll tell you the truth and nothing else." Veer gave him a stoic look but nodded. "There's supposed to be a club opening this weekend. Charlie has opened it for some business prospects. You know selling drugs, illegal weapons, and much more."

Nakul paused and took a breath. His chest constricted. In the beginning, he didn't feel any regret at all but now it consumed him. "Charlie will definitely be there! He's planning something big on that day and there are chances that Jeffrey might show up." Veer felt a bit of stress leave his body. Finally, something that is fucking valid. He muttered under his breath.

"Where is this club?" Veer asked him and clenched his fists. "It's called the Blue Moons! Very posh-looking club. It's in Mumbai! The opening is all that everyone is talking about! You can look it up if you want!" Nakul muttered and grimaced in pain.

Veer tilted his head slightly towards Karan who nodded and immediately took a seat in front of the computer. He Googled about Blue Moons and found that whatever Nakul had confessed was the truth. He showed the information to Officer Khan who gave Veer a nod.

Veer sighed and glanced back at Nakul who was now staring at the floor with an ashamed look. "I wish you hadn't done what you did! You were an amazing officer. We could have lost anyone because of what you did. I can't believe you would stoop this low." Veer shook his head with disappointment and walked out of the room.

Officer Khan decided that they should keep him here in case anyone else calls for some information. Meera and Kabir were introduced to the rest of the team. "Flight Lieutenant Meera Raichand! It's nice to have Arjun's daughter on my team!" Meera blushed a bit but smiled at him.

"Thank you, Sir! I'm honored to be a part of this team!" Officer Khan gave her a faint smile. Dhwani eyed her with a bored expression. Veer smiled proudly and so did Karan. Kabir too was welcomed by Officer Khan. Veer glared at him. He was irritated by the fact that he had to endure two men staring and flirting with his girlfriend.

After this brief introduction, the plans were discussed. A solid plan was made and everyone's roles were assigned. "Make sure that Charlie is bought alive. We need him! He's our only chance to end all of this! Let's do this!" Officer Khan commanded and everyone hollered a yes.

After the long meeting which was for two hours, he dismissed everyone and exited the room. Veer had forgotten about Meera going against his wishes and joining TIIS for the time being. Suraj briefed Kabir and Meera on a few more things. By the time everything was done, it was already seven in the evening.

Meera's stomach growled. The last meal that she had was breakfast. She was exhausted from the day. Suraj had conducted a few physical tests for her and Kabir. All of that and everything else about today had exhausted her. Even her arm began throbbing.

Meera rolled her shoulders as she exited the building. She turned her head when someone called her name. It was Suraj and behind him came a very irritated Veer. She sighed when she remembered that their conversation was still pending. She so wasn't ready for it.

"Hey! Want me to drop you off where your car is at?" Meera stared at Veer who was standing and pretending to look at his phone. "Uhh, that's not a problem! I'll book a cab!" Suraj's face fell but he covered it up soon. Veer on the other hand grinned. Meera rolled her eyes internally. He can be so childish.

"Oh, come on! Don't be silly! It's a bit far from here!" Suraj pressed and Meera fiddled with her fingers, Veer was fuming with anger. He looked like he would punch that guy any second. Kabir who was a few feet away witnessed the entire scene with an amused expression.

"No, really it's okay! I can take care of myself! Thank you for the offer!" Meera declined the lift once again. This time when Suraj insisted Veer interrupted them. "I couldn't help but overhear this conversation. Actually Suraj the location where Meera's car is is really close to my place. She can come with me! You don't have to worry about it!"

Suraj and Veer locked gazes. To Meera, it almost looked like they were trying to intimidate each other and claim her or something. "Guys, relax! Meera can come with me! Problem solved!" Kabir interrupted. Meera faced palmed and gave him a "Are you serious look?" Before she could say anything Kabir pulled her towards his car.

"What the hell Kabir?" Kabir laughed and shook his head. "I just saved you Meera! Be thankful! Else that argument would have gone for hours!" Meera rolled her eyes but agreed with him. Kabir sat in the driver's seat. Meera was about to sit in the front seat when Veer pulled her hand and slammed the door.

Kabir opened the window and raised his brows at Veer who leaned closer so that he could look at Kabir properly. "I'm taking Meera! You don't have to worry about her!" Kabir smirked at him and shrugged his shoulders. "As you say, dude! I'm going to go! I need some food! Have fun and bye Meera!"

Meera rolled her eyes but waved at him. After Kabir drove away Veer dragged Meera towards his car. He opened the door for her and shut it after she had taken her seat. Veer slammed his door after he sat down.

"Why are you slamming doors? What did it ever do to you?" Meera shouted and Veer began driving with an angry scowl on his face. "Why the fuck are all men drooling over you? Can't they find someone else? I'm so fucking pissed!" Meera wanted to laugh but she bit her lips and looked out of the window.

Witnessing this side of Veer was definitely enticing. "Ohh please! Don't think I didn't notice how the girls who work in TIIS were falling and fawning over you!" Meera argued back and Veer rolled his eyes.

"Stay away from Suraj Meera and Kabir! I mean it! Or else I'll seriously end up beating both of them!" Meera let out a laugh and stared at her boyfriend. "Ohh Veer Gupta is jealous! For the record, I will stay away from Suraj! He's a bit I don't know weird. As for Kabir, he's my friend! So, you have nothing to worry about!"

Veer scoffed and tightened his arms around the steering wheel. They were quiet for the next few minutes. Meera could sense the tension. She knew that sooner or later that unfinished conversation was going to come up. She wanted to get it over with right this very second.

"Veer about me joining TIIS.." Veer held his hands up before Meera could finish her sentence. "We'll talk about this tonight! I have some valid points to make and you will listen!" Meera's face fell but she nodded. Meera guided him to the spot where she had parked her car. He stopped it there.

"I'll come to your room today at ten! Bye! Drive safe!" Veer muttered with a blank expression on his face. Meera nodded, muttering a small bye she opened the door and walked to her car. She had already texted her parents that she was out doing something important and that she'll be back soon.

She drove home, her mind was reeling with questions about how Veer would react and everything else that had taken place. She hopes that this decision of hers isn't a deal-breaker for their relationship. It didn't seem like that but she couldn't help but think about the worst scenario.
