Lucas sat in front of the radio, as Mike and Dustin messed around with it. Lucas sat beside Dustin, staring at a knob in deep thought. Dustin noticed and elbowed him.

"You ok man?"  He asked, Lucas realized someone was talking to him and shook his head.

"Y-yeah. Sorry, I just had something on my mind." He said, shrugging. Dustin nodded slightly, turning back to the radio.

"What is it?" Mike chimed in, he didn't look at Lucas, but seemed interested never the less.

"Do you guys know any Jana's here?" He asked, looking at them with brows furrowed. Dustin and Mike exchanged looks and looked at Lucas.

"No, that sounds like a girls name, why are you asking about a girl?" Dustin asked. Mike smiled almost cheekily at his friend.

"Lucas has a crush!" Mike said, laughing. Despite his past with a certain someone, he tried to stay positive.

"No I don't! I'm just curious." Lucas defended himself. "I bumped into her while we were racing here. I've never seen her around Hawkins."

"She's probably Steve's new foster sister." Mike said nonchalantly. Lucas and Dustin stopped messing with the radio and turned to look at him.

"Foster sister?" Lucas asked.

"Yeah, they signed up for the foster system. Steven and Nancy were talking about her the other day. Never heard her name but heard she was our age." Mike explained, looking at them.

"And you're just now telling us?" Dustin asked. Mike nodded. "Wow dude"

"Mike, time to go." Mrs. Wheeler said from the doorway, they turned to look at her and Mike sighed.

"See ya guys tomorrow" Mike sighed, standing up and leaving. They waved as he left. Dustin got up, seeing his family and waved, leaving.

Jana walked the halls, being lost as all hell when she came across a room. She peeked her head in and saw none other than the boy from before. She rolled her eyes.

"You sure your supposed to be in here?" She asked, leaning on the door. He jumped slightly and turned to see her. He laughed awkwardly. "What even is this junk?"

"It's not junk." He said as she walked over, he turned the radio on as she sat down, causing him to look at her confused. "Besides the doctor let us in."

"Us?" She asked. She had a twinkle inner eye for a second, seeing no one else. "There's no one else here. You seeing people?"

"No. They were here, they had to leave." He said casually. The twinkle vanished but he didn't seem to notice and she looked at something behind him, her eyes filled with worry for just a moment but she quickly shook her head as he looked back at her. "Dustin and Mike"

"I see. You must be quite popular at your school." She said sarcastically, chuckling lightly.

"You noticed huh?" He asked, sighing.

"Well only a dorky kid would be alone in a hospital messing with their radio." She confirmed. He laughed slightly.

"You got a point." He said, turning the radio off finally. "So, what about you?"

She shook her dad, sitting up a bit and clapping her hands together slightly.

"No, I don't talk about myself. Want to get to know me? Be observant." She stated, standing up. He stood up with her, nodding confused.

"Ok... So what can I ask you?"

"You can ask me what I had for breakfast!" She said, smirking and standing on her tiptoes for a second.

"So you can ask me stuff but I can only ask you about your day?" He asked. She nodded.

"Got a problem with that huckleberry?" She asked, smirking, and stepping closer to him. He shook his head.

"No... I guess not." He said, looking at her. Just then there was a knock on the door and they turned to see his parents.

"Ready to go Lucas?" His mom asked. Lucas nodded slightly, stepping away from her, as she continued to look at his parents.

"Wait a second, who is this?" His dad asked kindly, a smiled on his face.

"I'm Jana Fiury sir. Nice to meet you." Jana spoke, turning towards them fully. Lucas stopped beside his mom, and rolled his eyes at his dad.

"Nice to meet you too Jana, need a ride home?" He asked. Lucas prayed she said no, but honestly he kind of wanted her to say yes.

"Oh I'm ok sir, I have a skateboard." She said, pointing to it beside the door. Lucas hadn't even noticed it until now. His dad nodded slightly and smiled and leaving. His mom waved leaving as well.

"See ya Jana." Lucas spoke.

"Bye weirdo." She said, waving slightly. He smiled slightly, before following his parents.

Jana walked over and looked to see them gone and she grabbed her skateboard and walked out as well, finally after a few minutes finding the doors and exiting to feel the cool air. Lucas opens his car door and turned to see her get on her skateboard and skate away.

She got home around 8 minutes tops and stopped, grabbing her skateboard, and walking over to the door. She turned to see a strange car on the street and squinted slightly. It was two teenagers. She wasn't sure who they were, because she had never seen them before. She shrugged walking in to hear laughing, immediately seeing Steve's girlfriend and him, along with a few others. Her stomach growled and she walked over to the fridge, opening it and sighing as she saw yet again, nothing edible. Her foster family other than Steve was never around and Steve always got take out. Forgetting about her obviously. She closed it and walked upstairs, quickly dropping her stuff in her room and plopping on her bed.

"Hey buddy." She said as her pet rat, Lillith, crawled into her arm. She held her arm up and laughed slightly.

"Steve, that's not what I meant!" She heard, she sighed. They always argued. Ever since she got here. It annoyed her.

"Time for bed Lillith." She said, putting the rat in its cage and quickly changing. She stopped as she saw Charlie. Charlie wasn't someone who people just naturally saw. It was in Jana's mind. But she was very much real to Jana.

"Hello Loser."

"What do you want?" Jana spoke as she quickly finished changing and was brushing her hair.

"Made a new friend today?" Charlie asked, almost sadly. Jana nodded slightly. "Well that won't last long."

"Yeah well what do you know." Jana groaned, putting the brush down and walking over to her bed.

"As much as you know. So you know whatever you think is gonna happen, won't." Charlie said smugly. Charlie looked exactly like Jana, but her hair was a pitch black, ad her eyes were red.

"Well I also know you're a figment of my imagination." Jana said, getting into bed.

"Just be careful. 12 homes, all gave you up. Had to be a reason, huh?" Charlie said, before Jana finally shut her out and she vanished. Jana sighed, plopping her head down.

"Night Lillith." She said, closing her eyes and falling asleep.
