I know I said I wasn't going to but I posted the second chapter of SSL because I couldn't stay away from it!! BUT It is the last chapter I will post until LOTE is done!! I woke up early the next morning. Mingus's flight was at 9:30 and I wanted him to have a good breakfast before we took him to the airport. It was about six in the morning and it took about 30 minutes to get to the airport where we lived. I knew the rest of the house would be up soon.

I started cracking eggs and putting them in the pan before whipping up some waffle batter and placing it in the waffle iron. I grabbed some bacon from the refrigerator and sniffed it making sure that it was still good before opening the package and placing some in the pan.

I heard a door creak open knowing that it was one of the bedrooms. Quiet footsteps came through the house and entered the kitchen. I looked behind me to see that it was Mingus. I gave him a small smile which he returned before leaning against the wall.

I turned back to the stove and worked on breakfast when I felt arms wrap around my waist. I looked down a little to see that it was Mingus. I wrapped one arm around him and squeezed him gently. I knew that he didn't want to go even though he had too.

I bent down and kissed his forehead. "What's up, bud?" I asked him. He leaned his head against my shoulder. I couldn't believe how tall he was getting for a 14 year old. He was going to be 15 in two months and I hated that we were missing his birthday because of filming.

Mingus shook his head before releasing me. "Can I get Brynlee?" he asked me. I gave him a small smile. "Of course you can, but try not to wake your father. He needs some rest," I said. Mingus nodded and headed out of the kitchen. He came back a few minutes later with Brynlee in his arms.

He sat down in a kitchen chair and cuddled Brynlee close. "Do you want to feed her?" I asked him. Mingus's eyes lit up and he nodded. I quickly made a bottle and handed it to Mingus. I watched as he fed her and I couldn't help the smile that was on my face.

He was such a good big brother towards her. I was so afraid that he was going to be upset when we told him we were pregnant with his little sibling but he was totally cool with it and now he was being a huge help. I heard another door squeak as I started plating breakfast.

This time I knew it was Norman. When I looked over my shoulder Norman was standing behind Mingus with his hand resting on Mingus's shoulder. They were both staring lovingly at Brynlee and I felt my smile growing even more. I grabbed a couple of the plates and sat them on the table.

I grabbed the last plates and sat them on the table before taking a seat. Norman came over and sat beside me. He dished his food out on his plate and slowly started eating. At one point I felt his arm wrap around my waist and he pulled me into him more.

I sighed. I knew today was going to be a tough day for him because Mingus wouldn't be here the rest of the day and for the next couple months. After a quick breakfast Mingus went to shower as did Norman. I decided to leave him alone knowing that he needed it.

After he got out of the shower I jumped in knowing that we didn't have that much time left before we had to leave. I took a quick shower and threw my wet hair up in the bun. I dressed Brynlee and packed her diaper bag before picking her up in my arms.

"Are we ready?" I asked as I walked out into the living room. Both Mingus and Norman nodded and we walked outside where we were welcomed by the warm Georgia air. I buckled Brynlee into her car seat. Mingus went to jump into the back seat but I stopped him.

"That's okay. You sit up front with your dad," I said. Mingus nodded before hopping in the front seat. I jumped in the back beside Brynlee. I tickled her tummy causing her to let out a little giggle. I looked up and my eyes connected with Norman's who gave me a small smile before backing out of the driveway.

I think the car ride to the airport was too short for everyone but here we were saying see ya later to Mingus. I wrapped my arms around him and gave him a huge hug. "We'll see you soon," I whispered in his ear. Mingus gave me a small nod as he pulled back.

Norman's arms wrapped around Mingus and he pulled him into him. I sighed a little sadly as I watched the two of them. "Last call flight to Manhattan," the announcer of the intercom said. Mingus pulled back and grabbed his bag and started walked towards the terminal.

Norman's arm slipped around my waist and he pulled me into him. Mingus turned around and gave us a small wave which we returned before he disappeared. Norman sighed and kissed my forehead before looking down at Brynlee. He lifted her from my arms.

"Let's get one thing straight," Norman said to her. Brynlee's eyes were trained on him. Of course she didn't know what he was saying. "As long as I'm still living you're not leaving the house," he said. I chuckled and looped my arm through his as we walked out of the airport.

I strapped Brynlee into her car seat again and jumped into the passenger seat beside Norman. I watched all the scenery go by when I felt Norman reach over and take my hand in his. I laced our fingers together and gave his hand a gentle squeeze before leaning over the console and kissing his cheek.

Norman leaned towards me slightly as I pulled back and settled in my seat again. We soon arrived back at our house and Norman and I jumped out. He grabbed Brynlee while I grabbed her diaper bag. Norman opened the front door and started heading towards our bedroom.

I kicked off my shoes before locking the door and following him. When I made my way into my bedroom Norman had already settled Brynlee into her crib and he was sitting on the edge of his bed with his back to me. I slowly walked in and dropped Brynlee's bag on the floor.

I crawled across the bed so I was behind Norman and I wrapped my arms around his shoulders from behind. I ran my hand lightly across his chest. "Are you okay?" I asked him as his hands came to rest on my arms His thumb ran slowly over one of them.

Norman sighed and turned his head to look at me slightly. He shook his head and I removed my arms from around him. I got off the bed and checked on Brynlee to see that she was fast asleep. I smiled and ran a hand over top of her head lightly before turning back to Norman.

He was now leaning against the head of the bed with his legs stretched out in front of me. He looked up at me with sadness in his eyes. We stared at each other for a few minutes before he held out his arms to me. "Just....just let me hold you for a little while," he said.

I gave him a small smile before crawling up in bed beside him and letting his arms wrap around me. I laid my head on his chest and he rested his head against mine. I ran my hand lightly up and down his chest hoping that it would relax him a little bit.

Norman sighed and kissed the top of my head pulling him into me more. "You know, we'll be back there in about two months," I said. Norman sighed again. "I know I just feel like I'm missing a piece of me," he whispered softly. I bit my lip before moving to look up at him.

I ran my hand through his hair lightly before resting my hand lightly on the back of his neck. I pulled him into me and connected his lips with mine in a loving kiss. Norman brought his hand on cheek lightly and ran his thumb gently across it while kissing me back.

I pulled back and rested my forehead against his. "Just remember it's not goodbye it's a see you later. We'll all be together again soon," I said. Norman gave me a small nod before kissing me lightly one more time. I sighed and let my arms go around his neck.

"You know," he mumbled between kisses causing me to giggle. "What?" I mumbled back. Norman pushed me lightly on my back. "We haven't had any alone time in quite a while," he said. I moaned as he kissed harder and his fingers found the hem of my shirt.

So Mingus is gone :( and Norman is sad ='( I promise the chapters won't be all this sad. This just had to happen because I wanted Norman and Mandy to switch roles for a few seconds. I hope you guys enjoyed! And hey look now they have a little alone time ;)
