I heard a knock on the door and I instantly sat up. Norman groaned and tried to pull me back down but I pushed him back lightly. "I'll get the door," I said while getting out of bed. Eye meowed and I picked him up taking him with me. I looked down at my phone to check the time.

"Shit," I said seeing it was a little after four knowing it was probably Mingus and his mom at the door. I quickly ran into the living room and started undoing the latches on the door. I quickly flung it open and I was greeted by a smiling Mingus and a scowling Helena.

I sighed a little as Mingus walked in. "Hey bud, sorry about that," I looked up at Helena. "Nice to see you again," I said while nodding at her. She gave me a sugary sweet fake smile. "Hello," she said softly. I sighed. I tried with her but it didn't seem to work.

Mingus dropped his bag on the floor and gave his mom a hug. She squeezed him back and glared slightly at me. I just arched an eyebrow at her like 'really.' She just rolled her eyes and pulled back from Mingus. I heard footsteps coming through the hallway.

"There's my shirt. I guess you threw mine on after we got do- oh hey Helena," Norman said rubbing the back of his neck. I groaned a little and grabbed my shirt from his hands. "Can I talk to you?" Helena said while crossing her arms. She glared over at me again.

I ducked around the corner and stripped Norman's shirt and slid my own back on. I threw Norman's shirt at him. "At least put a shirt on," I said while winking at him. Norman smirked a little. I slung an arm around Mingus and directed him towards his bedroom.

"Let's go kid," I said while tugging him lightly towards the bedroom. I felt a tug back and I turned around to see Helena with a death grip on Mingus's wrist. "I'd rather that he stays here," Mingus was trying to pull his wrist away but I watched as she tightened her grip on him.

I watched as Mingus winced a little and I felt myself growling in her direction. Norman stepped in between us and Helena. "If you want to talk to me that's fine, but my son and my girlfriend don't need to be around to hear it," I knew him saying 'my son' had gotten to Helena.

She let go of Mingus and I quickly pulled Mingus into me. I slung his bag over my shoulder. Giving one last glance at Norman who had a sad look on his face I led Mingus to his bedroom. I sighed as I shut his door and Mingus went and sat on his bed just like last time.

I dropped his bag and bent down in front of him. I placed my hands on his knees and squeezed them slightly. Mingus looked up at me with sadness in his eyes. "Do they do this often?" I asked. Mingus sniffed a little before answering. "Only when dad has a girlfriend."

I sighed a little and squeezed his knees again. "It sucks I know. I used to listen to my parents fight a lot and I hated it. We'll never understand why they do it until we're parents ourselves," I nudged Mingus a little and watched as a small smile came across his face.

"There we go. There's that smile I like so much," Mingus smiled a little wider and I felt my own smile ghost across my face. I reached up and wrapped my arms around him pulling him into me. I heard a door slam and Mingus flinched. I sighed and squeezed him a little.

I heard Mingus's door squeak open and I looked over to see Norman standing in the doorway. I reached a hand towards him and gestured for him to come over. Norman didn't hesitate as his arms came around Mingus. I went to step back but Mingus latched onto me.

I sat myself up on the bed and sat beside Mingus keeping a loose arm around him. Norman looked over at me and gave me a small smile. Mingus finally pushed us both back and sighed. Norman grabbed my hand and pulled me off the bed. He turned around to Mingus.

"I have to talk to Mandy real quick and then we'll go grab some ice cream. Okay, boom?" Mingus nodded and started unpacking his clothes. I sighed as I shut his door a little ways while Norman pulled me into his room. I sat down on his bed while Eye jumped up beside me. Norman sat beside me and wrapped an arm around me. "Sorry about that," he said. I shrugged and pulled back a little so I could look at him.

"You don't need to apologize. It's not your fault," I said. Norman groaned and flopped back on the bed. I quickly rolled so I was now straddling his waist. I placed my hands on his chest and rubbed softly. "Babe, seriously it's fine. She doesn't scare me. She's just looking out for Mingus."

I reached a hand up and cupped his cheek. His eyes shut slightly. "I don't get it," Norman whispered. I absent mindedly drew circles on his chest. "Get what?" I asked slightly confused. His eyes opened and connected with mine. "You're just so understanding."

I cocked an eyebrow at him. "What do you mean?" I asked him. He sighed and grabbed my hand. "All my other girlfriends when I would want to spend time with Mingus they'd get mad or Helena would scare them off," he said. I sighed and nodded slightly.

"You get it. You're okay when I want to spend time with Mingus. It doesn't make you mad when I want to hang out with him. You actually insist that I do. You're just different. Good different and I like it," he said. With that he brought my hand up and kissed my palm.

I smiled and trailed my fingers down his jaw and neck before it rested against his chest. "Well thank you, but I truly just want to see you happy and I know with Mingus you are happy. Besides he's a cool kid way cooler than me but I also know what it's like to not have a dad around and Mingus needs that more than anything. He needs you," I said.

I don't think anything could wipe the smile from Norman's face as I spoke. "I'm happy with you," he said while propping himself up on his elbows. I chuckled a little. "And I'm happy with you too, but Mingus comes first," I said. Norman sighed and nodded.

I bent down and kissed his lips lightly. Norman brought a hand up and placed it in my hair. I pulled back and bit my lip. I rolled off of Norman. "We better go get Mingus before he becomes impatient," Norman chuckled. "He has more patience than me. Never take me to a DMV."

I chuckled and hopped off the bed. Norman went to his closet while I opened his door. I walked out and poked my head into Mingus's room. "Hey bud you done putting your stuff away?" I asked him. Mingus turned around and nodded. "Good well get ready to head out."

I walked back into Norman's bedroom and watched as he pulled out two black hoodies. "Do you buy those in bulk or something?" Norman chuckled a little before chucking one at me. I quickly caught it and slid it on. When my head popped through the top Norman was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed.

"What?" I asked him. Norman cracked a smile. "Nothing, I just like seeing you in my clothes," I rolled my eyes slightly as Norman chuckled. "I'm making dinner tonight," I said. Norman arched an eyebrow at me. "Really now?" he asked. I rolled my eyes again.

"Really," I stated simply. Norman's eyebrow arched eyebrow. "I can cook!" I said reading his thoughts. Norman chuckled again. "I'll be the judge of that," he said. He grabbed my hand and pulled me out of his bedroom. "Oh ye of little faith," I huffed.

Mingus joined us as we walked out the door. "Alright boys, you like chicken?" they both nodded. "Spaghetti?" I questioned and they both nodded again. "Alright that's all I need to know," I said. This time Mingus arched an eyebrow at me and I chuckled at how much he looked like Norman when he did it.

"Don't worry about it kid," I said while ruffling his hair. Mingus stuck his tongue out at me out of habit. We had quickly arrived at the ice cream shop that Norman and Mingus raved about all the time. We all walked in and I looked at all the ice cream in the freezers.

This was going to be a very hard decision I could already tell. I felt Norman's hand on my lower back. "What do you want?" he whispered in my ear. I felt a shiver go up my spine as I leaned back into his hand slightly. "I'm not really sure. It all looks so good," Norman chuckled.

"How about I just buy the whole damn store?" he said. I rolled my eyes. "You would do that for yourself before you would do it for me," Norman chuckled again. "Yeah you're probably right," I nudged him away from me lightly before I selected a fruity looking flavor.

"My favorite," Norman said. I nudged him again as the lady behind the counter handed me the bowl with ice cream in it. "Mine!" I said while moving the bowl away from him. Norman chuckled and grabbed his ice cream. I peered into the bowl.

"If this is your favorite then why did you get that?" I asked him. Norman smirked. "I decided to try something different is that okay with you?" he asked rhetorically. I chuckled and took the spoon from my ice cream and dipped it in his. I put the ice cream in my mouth and swallowed.

"Yep, perfectly okay with me," I said. Norman glared at me playfully. He grabbed the spoon from my hand and put it in my ice cream before putting it in his mouth. "Definitely still my favorite," he said. I rolled my eyes as he gave me my spoon back.

Mingus was now looking at us with an amused look. I glared over at him and held out my spoon. Mingus clutched his ice cream protectively to his chest and I chuckled while pulling my spoon back. All three of us walked out of the store before we caused problems and disturbed people.

"It's definitely not as good as 10 a.m. ice cream," Norman said while eating more ice cream. I looked at him and ran my middle finger up and down my nose. Norman chuckled as he opened the door back to our apartment complex. I nudged Mingus in front of me and had him walk in first.

I felt Norman's hand on my back again and I sighed happily. We quickly went back up to Norman's apartment and I started on dinner. It would take a while to make so I knew by the time it was done the boys would be ready to eat again. Who am I kidding they always eat.

While I was cooking some of the food I heard gun shots coming from the TV and I knew Norman and Mingus were playing video games. I mixed everything together and slid it into the oven. I quickly washed my hands and made my way into the living room.

I leaned against the doorway watching the two of them. Mingus was concentrating intently and Norman had his tongue sticking out of the side of his mouth. I chuckled softly and grabbed my phone. I quickly took a picture and sent it to Stacey.

"A tornado could rip through here right now and they would never notice. These boys are seriously concentrating on this video game," I sent to her. I sat my phone on the counter and continued to watch them. I heard my phone buzz and I looked to see Stacey had texted me back.

"Awe look how cute they are!" she texted back. I clicked my phone to make it black again before placing it back on the counter. I watched as Norman nudged Mingus making him mess up and then Mingus pounced on Norman while locking his arms around his neck.

Norman tried to grab for Mingus but Mingus had the advantage now. I chuckled as I watched Mingus push Norman to the floor. For a 13 year old skinny boy he sure had some strength on him. Though I think Norman was just trying to take it easy on him.

Norman rolled over and pinned Mingus to the ground. Mingus tilted his head back and looked up at me. "Help me!" he said. I shook my head and held up my hands. "You're on your own kid," I said. Mingus glared at me then looked back at his dad with a mischievous look.

Norman smirk and let Mingus go. They both stood up and looked at me with evil in their eyes. I knew what was about to happen next. "No you don't! Two against one isn't fair!" I squealed as Norman started walking towards me. I glared at Mingus.

The kitchen was one way and the hallway was the other but I knew there was no way I was going to get past both of them. I tried though. I ran past Norman and booked it towards the hallway. I felt a body collide with mine and I fell to the floor. I turned around to see Mingus.

I glared at him. "I thought we were friends!" I said. Mingus smiled a little. "You wouldn't help me so not anymore," he said. Norman came over to us and straddled my legs. Damn it. "Hold her arms Mingus," I squirmed under Norman knowing what he was about to do.

"If you tickle me I am not responsible for your or Mingus's injuries and I will not kiss you anymore," I directed that last part towards Norman. He smiled a little as Mingus grabbed my arms. "I am okay with that," Norman said and I felt his fingers on my sides.

"You both suck," I shrieked as I felt Norman's fingers moving across my sides. I kicked and squirmed under Norman and Mingus's grasp but it was no use. I knew I wasn't getting free. They were both too strong. I felt myself cracking up along with Mingus and Norman.

Finally after about 10 minutes Norman finally gave up and fell onto of me. I felt Mingus make himself comfortable on top of Norman. "Hello," I mumbled into Norman's shirt. I groaned and Norman made himself flush against me. "Girlfriend can't breathe here," I said while trying to bring my hands up to shove Norman off. I felt Norman chuckle.

Nobody moved. "I hate you both," I grumbled. I felt pressure relieved from me and I sat up so I could breathe. Both Norman and Mingus were still on the floor beside me. I heard the buzzer on the oven and quickly stood up and darted towards the kitchen.

I opened the oven and I was greeted by a wonderful smell. I heard the footsteps of the boys coming to the kitchen most likely drawn by the smell. I placed the hot pan on the oven. I turned around to see both boys with awestruck looks on their faces which made me smile.

Norman grabbed plates and passed them to Mingus, who took them into the dining room and started setting the table. Norman grabbed glasses and followed behind him. I picked up the pan and followed behind both of them. I placed the pan in the middle of the table and sat down. I didn't even have to tell them what to do as both boys started piling on the food.

See the drama wasn't that bad :P I think y'all were worried that I was talking about Mandy and Norman at first :P Cute like "family" moment there.

I truthfully like the fact that I'm not rushing it between Mandy and Norman. I find that so cliché in stories. I think it's cute that they're in that "let's get to know each other but yet I want to kiss you" phase. I just don't want to rush into the "I love yous" and such. What do y'all think about them taking it slow? I think people are too into movies when it comes into stuff like that, ya know?

More Norman and Mandy? More Mingus and Mandy? Both? Thoughts?

Comment, vote, fan, follow, add to reading list. Reedus kisses for everyone!!!!!!!!!!! xxxxxxxxxxxx
