Chapter Six

"Aren't you going to answer it?" James who was now sitting with his back to Yasmine's bed with her in between his legs, and arms tightly around her.

Yasmine had been just staring at her iPhone for about a minute now, debating if she should accept or decline the call. Her head still on James's chest, his face snuggled in her hair, she picked up the iPhone which had fallen on James's leg when she had dropped it.

His contact ID picture had him and Yasmine side-hugging each other in front of a brightly lighted ferris wheel with the beautiful night sky covering most of the background. They had gone to an amusement park in one of their dates. She really enjoyed her time there as well. Yasmine really needed to change her contact photo for him, since he was getting married..

She slid her finger over the 'decline' button, not exactly wanting to talk to him right now.

Just when she was about to put her phone down, it started ringing. It was Aaron again. She declined. He kept calling her a couple of more times, but she just put her phone down on the floor and ignored his calls.

She burrowed her face in James's chest, still heartbroken and a disgusting mess.

Then, she heard a different ringtone.

It was for Facetime. She definitely did NOT want him to see her right now. Crying her eyes out on some dude's chest.

Thats when something happened she'd never expect.

James picked up her phone.. and.. accepted the Facetime call!

It took few brief seconds to connect their phones.

Then Aaron's concerned face appeared on the screen of the phone, with a little square in the corner of what Aaron was seeing right now. It was like skype.

And what Aaron was seeing was some guy he did not know holding on to his girl, well, his ex girl. Anger and jealousy coursed through his veins. Who was he?!

"Hello dear Aaron," James said in a fake sweet voice, trying to piss Aaron off.

"James! Give it back!" Yasmine said, realizing what James had just done.

"So, you're James?" Aaron said giving a smile, trying not to smash his iPhone at the wall, while talking to this douchebag. Then he saw Yasmine's face. Was she crying? Why on Jupiter would she expose her weak side to this guy?! Unless.. they were dating. NO, they weren't.

James raised his arm higher, but still managing to make sure Aaron could see what was going on. "Indeed I am James, you must be Aaron. The one getting married," he paused then scowled, "The one who's making her cry like this."

James started glaring at Aaron with the cruelest look ever.

'Maybe James does actually care about me,' Yasmine started wondering. 'For now, I have to make to get my phone back!'

"James, give me the phone!" Yasmine said now her fists hitting his chest.

"Oh so, now you're hitting the chest you were once crying your heart on to? That tickles sweetie," James said brushing Yasmine off like some bug.

"Don't call me sweetie, you jerko!" Yasmine cried. "Okay, you leave me no choice. Hehehehehhe."

"Why are you laughing so maniacally?!" James said with a look of terror on his face.

Yasmine who was on her knees trying to reach the phone, brought her right knee up hitting James in the balls.. hard.

He cried in pain, dropping the phone only for it to land in Yasmine's hand.

"Aww, why thank you James," Yasmine said and kissed his cheek.

"You evil b****!" James said, while rolling into a ball of pain.

Yasmine stood up and got onto her bed, switching the lamp on the dresser next to her bed. She didn't want to look like a ghost while talking to Aaron.

"Um, so hey Aaron," Yasmine said, looking at herself in the little square in the corner of the screen. "Wow, I look like crap."

Aaron chuckled deeply. "Aha, it's okay," Aaron reassembled his face, now looking seriously at Yasmine. "I got worried when you didn't answer my calls."

"Thats because she didn't want to answer your stupid calls!" James yelled still on the floor trying to get back his pride.

"Shut up, James," she said, now looking back at Aaron. "Uh.. I was busy, sorry."

"With him?"

"Uh.. Kind of. Anyways, why'd you call?" Yasmine asked, seriously wondering why. He never called.

"Uh, I just wanted to make sure you got the wedding invitation. I don't know if you moved or anything, so just making sure," Aaron said scratching the back of his head.

Yasmine took in his features. Aaron seemed to be wearing a black t-shirt, and some plaid pajama pants. His hair was a little messy, but did it even matter? He looked gorgeous either way. The blue ocean eyes he had were the most captivating. "Yes, I got it. I got the invitation."

"Well, actually. There's an engagement party before so yeah," Aaron started scratching his cheek, and something caught Yasmine's eyes.

A ring on his finger.

The ring wasn't really special or anything. Just a plain silver ring. But it still crushed Yasmine internally.

Trying to pry her eyes from the ring, Yasmine decided to get back on topic. "When's the engagement party?"

"It's in June. So, about a month," he said, placing his chin in the space between his index finger and thumb, making it look like he was thinking how to save the world.

"Ah, I see and----" Yasmine was cut off by James, who had finally recovered and was now bouncing onto the bed, sitting right next to her.

"And can she bring a date?" James winked at Yasmine, but she ignored his flirty tricks and just rolled her eyes.

"Um, if you want," Aaron said starting at Yasmine then James.

"You hear that?" James swung an arm around her, tugging her close.

"Uh, yes, I did," Yasmine said putting her hand on James's trying to remove, but she underestimated him. He was strong. Instead, he just held onto her hand, so it looked like they were holding hands.

"Stop moving, love. You are shaking your iPhone too much. Aaron won't be able to see us," James said pleasantly.

"I should go now. Thanks for calling. Talk to you later!" Yasmine was saying until James randomly kissed her cheek.

"Just returning the favor from earlier," James said, loud enough for Aaron to hear.

"Um, congrats on your wedding!" Yasmine said, blushing at the skin-ship, and ended the call abruptly.

She took a long and deep sigh.

"James, what the flip were you thinking?! Why'd you do that?"

"Yasmine, I was trying to help. You can't let a guy just hurt you like that. You gotta take control, and get some revenge. Make him jealous. Catch my drift?"

"Well you didn't help at all. I don't need to make him jealous. He's getting MARRIED. M-a-r-r-i-e-d! Catch MY drift?!" Yasmine said, now huffing.

"Look, I'm sorry Yasmine. Calm down," James said, pulling her into an embrace.

"Don't touch me!" Yasmine cried, pushing him away. Then, breaking into sobs.

James pulled her close again, this time, she was too fragile and weak to resist. He rubbed her back, trying to calm her down. "It's alright. Everything's okay," he kept whispering into her ear.

"I really love him. I really did. He doesn't even feel the same. He's getting married for god's sake," Yasmine said, hot tears flowing down her hazel eyes.

"Honey! Where are you?" Yasmine heard her dad calling for her.

"Uh yeah dad! I'm coming!" Yasmine yelled. "James, you should probably---"

"Stay for dinner? Aw, why thanks for asking Yasmine. I will," James said giving Yasmine a quick side hug.

"No, James!"

"Aw, c'mon. Do you want me to leave this dark? All hungry, and horrible, and alone, and weak---"

"Fine, fine. You clean up this project mess. We can work on it after dinner maybe," Yasmine said heading into the kitchen.

She flipped the switch on. Light filled the dark room.

It was a small kitchen, attached to the dining room. With a fridge, stove, cabinets, granite counters, and an island in the middle. On the side was a small white table, with matching white chairs, and bright chandelier above it.

She walked into the kitchen and opened the white Kenmore fridge. "Hmm, what should I make for dinner?" Yasmine wondered out loud.

"Oh, hi honey. Didn't see you get home," Yasmine's dad said, walking in to fetch a glass of water.

"Um yeah. I came home a little late. I was over Hailey's place. And, my friend, James is over right now. He's working on this project with me thats due tomorrow."

"Oh, is he now? Who is this boy? Can you trust him?" Her father asked.

"Well, I don't know, he's just my classmate," Yasmine lied.

"Oh okay. Could you make some spaghetti?" He said returning to the living room to finish watching his football game.

"Sure!"

Yasmine opened the cabinet next to the stove, and got the box of spaghetti. She got a pot, boiled some water, and put the sticks of spaghetti in. Now, she just had to wait.

James walked into the kitchen just then.

"Mmm, something smells good," he commented, strolling in like it was his house.

"I barely cooked anything yet, so I don't know what smells so good."

"What are ya making, Yasmine?" James asked, sitting on one of the stools from the island.

"Spaghetti," Yasmine said calmy, stirring it in the pot.

"Mmm, yum," James said licking his lips. "Ooh, a football game is on. Yeah, be right back!"

After marinating the hot spaghetti, it was ready to eat. While she was spreading marinara sauce all over the spaghetti, James walked in again.

"Oh, just in time. Could you set the table?" Yasmine asked, trying not to spill anything.

"No," James said.

"Well, its an order," Yasmine said glaring at the rude monkey head person.

"Ugh, fine." James said. "Where are the plates?"

"Behind me. The top cabinet next to the fridge," Yasmine said, finishing putting the sauce.

She closed the jar of marinara sauce, and put it aside. By then, James had found the plates, and set them on the dining table.

Walking over, she held onto the big bowl of spaghetti tighter. It was hot, and heavy. Her fingers were about to give out. But, she finally managed to place the bowl in the middle, on a coaster so it didn't ruin the table's wood.

She divided some spaghetti evenly between the three plates. Not too much, but the perfect size, so if they were still hungry after, they could add more.

The bread sticks that she had heated earlier were ready too. She placed them next to the spaghetti as well, and poured everyone a glass of water. The eating utensils were set by the plates.

"Dad! Dinner's ready!" Yasmine yelled, and heard the click of the T.V. going off.

Her father came in and sat at the head of the table, and Yasmine seated on the side with James across.

"So, dad. How was work?" Yasmine said trying to break the silence.

"It was okay. Mostly boring, but its a nice paying job, so it was okay," he said as he twirled his fork, getting a sum of spaghetti and stuffed it in his mouth. After swallowing, he asked, "How was school?"

"Uh, school..." She skipped school so she didn't really know what to say.

"Oh Yasmine! Remember Tina during lunch today? She dropped her tray on Liam's face!" James said, laughing at the thought.

"Oh yeah! That was hilarious," Yasmine said playing along, and secretly thanking him for the save.

"Seems like you had a good day honey," her father said, nudging her elbow.

"Yup!" She said enthusiastically, ripping a piece of bread stick with her teeth then chewing.

James who seemed to look like he never had a homemade meal, was scarfing down everything into his throat. Yasmine's dad and herself looked at him in amazement, and weirdness. When he noticed them staring, he coughed, choking on his food.

He grabbed his glass of water and gulped it fast.

"Calm down, James. The food is never going to go anywhere," I said teasingly, giving him a laugh.

After swallowing everything and calming down, James was finally okay. "I'm sorry," he apologized. "I just don't usually have homemade meals. My dad and step-mom are always out on business and only come home about once a year."

Suddenly, Yasmine felt guilt, yet pity for James. But, at the same time she felt like they could connect because of how her mother died.

"Aww, son. Well, you can come over whenever you'd like," Yasmine's father said patting James's back gently.

"Thank you, sir," James replied nervously. Was he scared of her dad? Yasmine mentally laughed.

"Call me Mike," her dad said to James.

He doesn't let just ANYONE call him Mike. When you have that privilege, you know that he has accepted you.

After some dinner, James and Yasmine were cleaning up while Mike was in the study doing some paperwork for tomorrow's conference.

Yasmine was washing the dishes, while James gave her the dishes to clean.

"Hand me the cups," she ordered, still turned around washing the last of the plates.

"Here," James said handing her the three glass cups that were used.

"So, I was thinking maybe we should do a collage for photography class. What do you think?"she said finishing off the first cup.

"Hmm, good idea," James agreed. Somehow he sounded distant now.

"James? Where are you?," she said finishing off the last two cups quickly so she could see where he was. But, when she was on the last cup, she felt arms tighten around her waist. "James?"

"Hmmm?," he said, now his head on her shoulder, casually resting it there.

"Um, what're you doing?"

"Thanking you for today. Thank you," he whispered, probably not used to being nice.

Yasmine blushed at his kind words, words she thought she'd never hear from HIM of all people.

"You smell so good," James said breathing in her scent.

"Ahaha, thanks you creep," Yasmine said, washing off the last cup.

James mumbled something she couldn't catch.

"What?," Yasmine asked, wondering what he said.

"Nothing, tell you later," he said, letting go. "I'm gonna be in your room starting the collage."

"Mm'kay," Yasmine said rubbing her hands off the towel.

She started grabbing a cloth and starting wiping all the counters clean. When she was done, she headed into her room to see James wearing thick, black-rimmed glasses and intently jotting things down on a notebook. There were tons of random photo cutouts everywhere around him.

'He looks so cute,' Yasmine thought. 'No, what are you thinking?! He's a player. Stop it!'

"Oh, hey," He said looking up and grinning like a maniac.

"Hi there," Yasmine grinned back nervously.

"Okay, so here are the topics we could do for the collage."

* * * * *

The cool breeze whipped against her bare skin that was exposed from her blouse. She rubbed her arms with her hands, trying to warm them up.

"Be careful on your way home," Yasmine said worrying if he would be okay. Samuel City was a safe place to live, not many crimes, but there were always creeps around.

"Its not like I'm walking home, Yasmine. Aha, don't worry about me," James said, pulling Yasmine to his chest. "Here, this will warm you up."

And it did. His body heat bounced off on Yasmine.

And James was also right. He had called his chauffeur to come pick him up, so Yasmine shouldn't be getting TOO worried.

What shocked James was when Yasmine actually returned his hug for the first time willingly within 5 seconds. Her arms snaked up under his arms, grabbing the back of his shirt.

She got on her toes, put her lips to his ear and said, "Thank you."

James blushed like a wildfire. "Um, your welcome."

"Oh, and what'd you want to tell me earlier?," Yasmine asked, her head in his chest, and arms on his back.

"Um," James tightened his grip around her neck, and put his head on her shoulders. "Well, I was going to ask. . . You know what, forget it. I don't want to ruin this."

"It won't ruin this. Please don't do that. I hate when people just bring something up and then say 'never mind' or something. Tell me," Yasmine pleaded, tugging on his shirt.

"Fine," he took in a big breath. "I think... I think.. I like you.. More than a friend. Will you please go out with me?" He held Yasmine tighter, hiding his hot, red face.

Yasmine pulled back immediately. She just stared at him for a couple of minutes. His face was red as a chilly pepper. His beautiful green eyes, that Yasmine never actually noticed were glinting, but he was looking away on the ground.

She grasped his arms for arms for support, and felt his worked out biceps and triceps. Wow.

"W-what? N-no. You're a player, James. You probably do this to all the girls. Act all shy and stuff to get their sympathy. Don't you? I bet you're just playing me. Well, you can drop the act, I don't give a f*** anymore. Just tell me the truth."

"I am telling the truth."

"No, you're not!" Yasmine raised her arm to hit him, but he grabbed her wrist in mid-air. He had a saddened face on. She stared into his emeralds.

"I am, how can I show you?"

Maybe he isn't lying. Maybe he does actually care about me. I should forget about stupid Aaron, and actually go into the arms of the person who actually loves me. Maybe James is the right choice, Yasmine thought to herself. "Prove it to me," she said, blushing. She knew what this meant.

James turned a tint pink. I've done this a million times. I've kissed a million times. Why am I getting so nervous. Am I actually falling for her? Oh, heck. I am, he thought looking side to side.

Taking her by surprise, James pulled her closer by wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her so there was no gap between them.

Yasmine's face was shocked, but she was still flustered. She looked down at his chest.

He used one hand to hold her waist, and the other to pick her chin up, making her look right into his eyes. They could feel each others' cool breaths. James smelled like mints. He was such an OCD. Yasmine smelled like a meadow full of beautiful roses. Or that was the roses growing besides the porch, haha.

His emerald eyes pierced through her hazel ones, which were kind of matching his green eyes at the moment. "I'm sorry for this," he whispered. And, before she could ask why he pressed his lips to hers.

To her amazement, he actually had smooth lips that matched her soft ones. They molded into each other. Her arms automatically went up around his neck, while his went to her waist, pushing her up due to her short height.

It wasn't a hot steamy kiss. It was more of a gentle kiss. Like the one you have when you get your first kiss. Speaking of first kisses, this was Yasmine's first with someone besides Aaron.

When they broke apart, they were breathless and huffing for air.

James brought an arm up to her face, cupping her face. A strand of hair managed to escape to the front, and James pushed it away.

"Well, that was one heck of a goodnight kiss," James said putting his forehead on hers.

Yasmine giggled. "Maybe this could work."

James's face lit up. "Really? Are you serious? Oh my gosh, I was so scared. I thought you'd reject me." He pulled her into a warm embrace.

"Aha, I just can't resist you," she said winking.

He turned pink. Just too much fun teasing.

Bright headlights caught their attention. His ride was here.

Yasmine started frowning. Did he have to go so soon?

"Aww, you don't want me to leave. That's cute," he said giving her a quick peck on the lips.

Yasmine turned bright red.

"Listen, let's go on a date this Saturday!" James exclaimed.

"Where?," Yasmine said excitedly. She actually wanted to.

"Well, there's this amusement park having a grand opening on Saturday. First 200 people get in for free! So you want to go?" James looked nervous, like she'd reject him.

"No," Yasmine said, trying to see what James would say.

"Oh," James scratched the back of his head,"Well, we could always go somewhere else."

"Ahaha, I'm kidding, silly. Of course I'll go with you."

"Don't scare me like that, Yasmine! Jesus, my heart dropped," he said, clutching his jacket where his heart was.

"Aww, you care about me that much?" She gave him a surprise kiss, leaving him stunned.

"U-uh. I l-left my number in your phone. I did it when you went to set up dinner," he stuttered.

"How'd you unlock my phone? There was a password!" Yasmine cried.

James brought her close. He bent his head down to whisper in her ear, "Remember when you were sitting on my lap? Crying your heart out? Yeah, you unlocked your phone right in front of me."

Yasmine turned into a tomato. She lightly hit his arm. "Don't say that!"

"Why not? Are you embarrassed. Aww, you're blushing. Well, I have to go. I'll text you in the car, love." And with that, he pulled her in for a tight final hug, and waved goodbye.

Yasmine stood there waving goodbye for who knows how long.

She ran her finger against her lips. She hadn't kissed someone for a long time. Maybe I do like James, she thought running back into the house.

The warm atmosphere of the house melted the cold feeling off her.

"Dad, I'm back!," Yasmine yelled locking the front door.

"In the kitchen," her dad yelled back.

On the way to the kitchen, she could smell freshly brewed coffee.

Her dad was seated on a stool at the island. Two cups of coffee on the granite surface.

"Here, I made you one, honey," he said pushing the cup next to him.

Yasmine took a seat next to him. She really missed doing this. Having late night talks with her dad over coffee. The last time was in highschool when she'd done this. When her father was still gang leader.

She took a long sip of her coffee, taking in the warmness in her hands.

"So, I saw what you two were doing out there," Mike said out of the blue.

Yasmine choked on her coffee. She coughed, then cleared her voice. "W-what?"

"Don't worry, I only saw the last part where he hugged you and left."

Yasmine sighed in relief. "Oh."

"Oh I see. Something happened, didn't it? That's why you're so relieved I didn't see before!" her father accused.

She turned into a dark pink. "No! N-no! Of course not! . . . Yeah."

"I knew it. The way he was looking at you during dinner was the way I looked at your mom," he said reminiscing the old times.

"Yeah, we're kind of together now," Yasmine smiled genuinely.

"Yazzie, honey. I haven't seen you this truly happy for a long time," her father's expression softened.

"Ahaha, he makes me happy, dad."

"And if he doesn't, well, let's just say my shotgun won't be a waste after all," he said grinning.

"Dad!" Yasmine cried. "Only if I get to help!," she chirped after.

"Haha, okay," he said sipping his coffee. There was a brief silence.

"So dad. Any hot ladies at work?"

Mike turned a little red.

"Dad! You like someone, don't you!? Tell me, tell me!" Yasmine cried, staring at him with big eyes.

"Well, I haven't really told her. And I don't know if its love or like or something. And if you protest, I definitely won't date anyone. And this does not mean I don't care about your mom," he rambled.

"Dad, its okay. I know. And from the way you blushed when I asked, I'm guessing you like her. And dad, I want you to be happy too. You can date her. As long as I like her though. If she's a b**** to me, we're done with her," Yasmine said seriously.

"Agreed," her father said now laughing.

Yasmine finished up her cup of coffee. "Well, I'm going to change, wash up and head to bed now."

"Alright honey. I'll go after you."

"Mhm," Yasmine nodded, putting her cup in the sink.

"Honey."

"Yeah, dad?" she stopped and turned around.

"I love you," he said sending a sweet smile.

"I love you too dad. Goodnight!" Yasmine yelled, walking down the hall, already sleepy.

* * * * * *

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.

Yasmine smacked the snooze button. God, that sound was getting annoying.

It started off like every other Wednesday.

She yanked the covers off her hot body. It was like 100 degrees in her room. The world was so bi-polar. It was freezing last night, yet it blazing.

Thinking about her night made her cheeks redden. James.

She had to tell Hailey all about it today.

The alarm went off again. '5:45 AM.'

Oh yeah, she had to pick up Truffles today. That's what she decided to name her puppy.

Before she knew what was happening, it felt like a brick hit her head. Ah crap. Stupid morning headaches. Diseases need to be less painful. She took a mental note to be prepared next time.

It was a few minutes before it stopped. The alarm went off again. '5:50 AM.'

She slammed her hand on the 'off' button.

Vomit suddenly made its way to her throat. The acid burned her throat, causing her to wince.

She ran her butt to the toilet, and threw up.

It was around 6 AM when she was done. Today was NOT a good morning. She was going to be late to pick up Truffles if she didn't hurry.

She brushed her teeth, followed by a shower. Deciding to wear something simple, she pulled on some jean shorts, on top of black ripped leggings, and a folded up purple shirt, accompanied by her pink converses. Quickly, she threw on some light but natural looking make-up, she grabbed her bag and ran out the door. Breakfast would just slow her down.

"Bye dad!" She yelled, slamming the door behind her. The watch on her wrist read '7:20 AM.'

Not too bad. I can still make it and not be late for class.

Truffles, her adorable white Pomeranian, was at the vet for the past two days. He was getting some shots and scans to make sure he was all okay. A little part of her worried about him, but she knew he'd be alright.

Arriving at the vet's shortly after, she was surprised at the building. It wasn't hospital big, but it was two stories high, and looked really clean.

She walked in, hearing a bell from the door opening.

"Hello," greeted the person behind the counter.

"Hi, my name is Yasmine Hamilton. I'm here to pick up Truffles Hamilton. He was assigned her two days go?"

"Oh yes. Please wait while I get him," she kindly said, opening a door that supposedly led her out back where the offices were.

Couple of minutes later, a cute, happily barking puppy was in her arms.

The lady set him on the counter and Truffles ran on his tiny legs to Yasmine. She hugged her dog tight. "Oh, did you miss me? I missed you too!"

Forgetting she was standing in front of someone, Yasmine blushed. "Sign here," the lady said, obviously trying to suppress a giggle.

Yasmine obeyed, signing a slip of paper, then rushing back home to drop off Truffles. Her dad was going to be home today.

She ran down the streets, only before noticing a white brand new CT Hybrid 2012 Lexus following her. Huh, that's kind of weird. . .

Her house soon was up ahead.

Yasmine ran into the house, dropped off Truffles by her dad in his study. She ran back outside, locked the door and ran to open the front gate. . . only to find the same Lexus in front of her. Now she was getting creeped out.

She flinched when the window started rolling down. She expected some mobster or thug, but it was... James.

"Why hello there Yasmine," he said casually, giving his signature smirk.

"James! You scared the crap out of me dude. I thought you were some thug following me," Yasmine said, relief washing over her.

"Haha, get in. I'll give you a ride. You're gonna be late. The bus you usually ride, just left. And the next one's in an hour."

"Fine, but only because I have no choice," she said, opening the passenger door.

"You're so stubborn that its cute," he said, starting the engine now that she was in.

Yasmine blushed at his comment. "You're c-cute too."

"Hahaha," James started laughing his butt off. "Call me sexy."

"Dude, watch the road! We're gonna die!," Yasmine said, trying to stop him from laughing. "And no. I will call you that when you actually become that."

"Meanie," he pouted.

"Aww don't pout baby," Yasmine said coaxingly.

After minutes of dangerous driving, they arrived at school. Here starts another day.

* * * * * *

Pretty soon, the week passed by and it was Saturday.

Yasmine was flipping out on what to wear. Her room was a complete mess.

A billion clothes were scattered around her room.

Should she go for the casual? Or wear something a little fancy? It WAS their first date.

Suddenly, knocks came from the door. "Come in!" Yasmine yelled.

Her dad opened the door, his face stunned. "I don't even want to ask," he said shaking his head. "Honey, just wanted to let you know that our neighbor will be dog-sitting Truffles since we'll both be out today. Okay?"

"Yeah sure dad," she said not paying attention. Her head was about to explode wondering on what outfit to wear.

Finally, she had decided she didn't want to wear something super fancy. They WERE going to be walking around and going on rides. And she didn't want to look TOO casual as if she didn't care about the date at all.

Yasmine put on a thick strapped dress that was tight on top, but got really frilly at the end and stopped at mid-thigh. It was beautiful with a pink, red, and purple plaid design. Her hair was curled, but pinned on the sides to keep from unwanted hair falling in her face. And instead of wearing flats like she normally does, she decided to wear her sneakers because it matched with her dress and she didn't want to walk around with pain in her feet.

All in all, she looked fancy, yet casual. Perfect, she thought.

She grabbed a beige messenger tote bag and stuffed her phone, back up make-up, iPod shuffle, lip gloss, and some extra cash.

Exiting her room, she was walking down the hallway when her iPhone buzzed.

It was a text from James that read;

Hello, love. Are u ready yet? - James.

She texted back;

Yup. Coming soon! :)

She grabbed some gum from one of the kitchen cabinets and headed for the door.

"Bye dad!" Yasmine yelled, locking the door behind her. Her iPhone buzzed again.

Really? Sneakers with a dress? U still look cute tho'. <3 - James.

She looked around. Where was he? Thats when she heard the roar of the engine of his Lexus.

Instantly smiling, she locked the front gate and walked to the passenger seat.

"Hi," she said stepping inside.

"Hello beautiful," he greeted back causing her to blush.

James was wearing a green office shirt that was folded up to the elbows. It really brung out his emerald eyes. He was wearing regular black jeans and grey converses.

Looking sexy, Yasmine thought.

"Thanks Yasmine, you look sexy too." James said, his cheeks turning a rosy red.

"Sh!t. Did I just read my thoughts out loud? I didn't mean it. I-I m-mean I did, but--- ughh!" Yasmine got all flustered and started turning incredulously red.

James glanced at her from the corner of his eye, and just laughed.

The amusement park was huge! Well, that's how it looked from the parking lot.

"Oh my gosh," Yasmine exclaimed. "I wanna go on that ride, and that one. Ooooh! Definetely that one!" She started pointing at all the visible rides from the car.

"You're such a kid, Yasmine," James chuckled. But, soon a frown made a way to his face after seeing the line to get in. "Awww man, its gonna take forever!"

"Aahahaha, who's the kid now?" Yasmine asked, shutting the passenger door and skipping towards the line, dragging James by the arm.

"Ow, stop pulling so hard!" He complained.
