A/N: Hey guys! This is Admin MoreThanHope! I am so excited to announce that I will be writing this devotional! I will probably update once or twice a week with a encouraging devotional with Bible verses, a prayer, something to challenge you, a main topic, and shout outs with shout out questions! I hope you guys enjoy this chapter on prayer!

Do these lies just wallow around in your head? God doesn't care about my prayers, he never listens, he already knows what I'm going to pray anyways, prayer is for little kids.

Well those lies are exactly what the Devil wants us to believe. He wants to give up on God because he knows if he can make us believe them he can somehow "defeat" God. Well, it's not going to happen! God will always win the battle every time.

So to start off I want to mention this: there is three different answers to prayer. 1.) Yes. 2.) No. 3.) Not yet. Not yet? What are you saying? God might not answer your prayers as fast as you say Amen. Here is a story of what happened to me when God said,"No, child, not yet."

A few months back me and my friend had a heated argument. At first she was encouraging me to dig deeper in my faith and then only weeks later she was being defeated. Some very personal stuff was happening in her life and she had some reasons to be a little upset. But she was trying to take it out on me. So we finally said goodbye and it wouldn't work out for us as friends. Guys, this friend and I were close. We told each other EVERYTHING. So I learned she was really lonely because a friend left her and then I did too. The guilt was weighing on me. So I decided to pray for her. I prayed for what seemed to be my "worst enemy". Then God gave me some Grace to finally forgive her in my heart. So I had to forgive her and ask her for forgiveness too, right? So I tried texting her right away and she didn't answer. I had asked God for a opportunity and he didn't allow it. Why did God do that?

So this past week was pretty normal. I decided God probably didn't want it to happen so it was good, it was over. Not yet.

Then I got a card in the mail with her address. I kind of flipped out, not going to lie. I read it and she asked ME for FORGIVENESS. I felt so mortified and so happy! The story is yet to finish itself. So let's get to the prayers tips.

Tip 1) Quietness:

But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. (Matthew 6:6)

Read that verse again but slower this time. Go into a closet, are you serious? It's your choice. I choose to follow that verse literally. I sit in my closet and pray and read God's word. I'll give you five reasons why.

1.) Because it's quiet.

2.) Nobody else goes in there but me. 

3.) It's my own little space area where I can hang written prayers, Bible verses, keep my Bible, etc.

4.) It's a area that's set aside just for God and I.

5.) I can read Christian books in there too.

Also, if you guys want to you don't have to go in your closet. You can make a little comfy bean bag area in a corner of your room with a stack of books (Christian books, Bible, etc.) And of course pray your heart away.

Tip 2) Do the "pray" method: Pray stands for: Praise, Repentance, Asking, Yes. Praise means what it sounds like, repentance is asking the Lord to forgive your sins and tell him you'll do different (and do different), asking is asking for things, and Yes is praying scripture. It gives you a little stability and a plan!

Tip 3) Prayer: Here are a ton of things you can pray for:

- Family. Pray for everybody in your immediate family. Write down specific things to pray for about each family member. 

- Missionary's. This website: https://www.wycliffe.org/partner has a TON of missionary's to pray for! Write down there name, what they're doing, and where there serving on a card and pray for them for as long as your heart desires and then choose a different one. Could you imagine leaving everything you have ever had and loving to a different country where you could get killed for your faith at and spreading the gospel? I couldn't. Also on this website you can send them encouraging notes via web! It's AWESOME.

- Your Church. Your church needs a lot of prayer. Pray for your pastors upcoming messages, pray for new members, more money, upcoming youth events, etc.

- Yourself. Pray for YOU. Pray for every aspect of your life that you find not so godly. Pray that God will reveal your sins to you and ask Him to forgive them. 

- Pray for non-Christian's you do and don't know. 

- Pray for your enemy's. Your probably laughing. You should pray for people who bother you! Pray that God will fix your heart and see the good in people! 

Tip 3) Pray scripture:

Go in Psalms and Proverbs and all of those poetry type Scriptures and pray the Bible! God loves it when you do that!
