"Lia! What the hell don't leave me he-" I was cut off when suddenly lights appeared everywhere.
I looked around and found myself staring at an old amusement park, and billions of fairy lights on wires hanging on trees all around.
"Did you actually think I was going to leave you here?" Lia looked at me with a raised eyebrow.
I nodded embarrassed a bit."I was just turning the lights on" She told me. "Anyways, come on, come with me." She said, grabbing my hand once again.
She dragged me towards the Ferris wheel, it looked so old and rusty, I wonder how old this place is... She let go of my hand once again, and started climbing up a metal ladder that was stuck on the side of the Ferris wheel, moving up from bar to bar.
Was she out of her mind?!
"What are you doing?" I half yelled. "Don't worry, as I said, I come here all the time, so start climbing..unless you're scared of heights" She said, stopping for a moment and looking down at me.
"Ugh fine, I'm coming." I said, grabbing onto a bar of the rusty ladder and pulling myself up. We climbed up to the top in silence until we reached near the top carriage. Except, the carriage's roof wasn't there for some reason.
Lia moved from the ladder, hanging onto a bar, she moved towards the broken carriage and sat down.
Damn, she was stronger than I had expected.
Then I realized I was staring at her the whole time." Soo, you just going to stand there and stare or you coming here?" She asked. I moved away from the ladder and grabbed onto another bar, I looked down from the bar I was hanging from and instantly got scared from how high up we were.
"Are you dumb? Don't look down!" She told me. I nodded and gulped, keeping my eyes on Lia, I moved towards the carriage and plopped down next to her.
"So what do you think?" Lia asked, putting her legs up on the front of the carriage. "It's nice...but how are we going to get down? " I asked." Oh come on, stop worrying for once and enjoy" Lia scolded me as I chuckled.
"Okay, I guess." I say, closing my eyes."So, by the way, I've never seen in in schools before" I say, as she nods. "I was home schooled, I didn't want to go to schools because I knew I wouldn't fit in." She shrugged.
"Why not?" I asked. " I am a girl with dead parents, I don't socialize well, and I hate listening to people, example, teachers." She said.
"By the way, I realized you never talk about your dad, even when you told me what happened, you're dad wasn't in the explaination.." she told me.
She was the only person I have, until I die, so why not tell her?
"My dad left us for another woman. The f*cked up part is that the woman is like 20 something and my dad is in his 40s, and he just left, without a word, he didn't say bye. He just left a note saying that he found another woman, and it said her name and stuff. He didn't even write goodbye." I said, looking into the twinkling lights of the town.
A second later, I felt arms hugging me, I knew it was Lia, so I hugged back.
"Wanna go back home?" Lia asked as I nodded. Lia got off the carriage and grabbed onto the bar again, and moved towards the ladder, then started climbing down, as I followed her.
I followed Lia out of the forest and soon, we were at her house. "The guest room is down the hall and to the left." Lia told me as I thanked her and made my way to 'my' room. I opened the door, and walked inside, shutting the door behind me. I looked around.
It was simple and cozy. The bed sheets were light gray and so were the pillows, there were white fluffy small rectangle shaped carpets on the ground, a wooden bedside table, a small closet, and the walls were plain white, and there was a bathroom too.
I hopped in the shower, and in around 5 minutes, I was done. This was the first time my shower lasted for less than 30 minutes. Perks of having short hair I guess...
I put on some clothes, and walked out of my room to the kitchen, Lia was there, her back facing me, she was humming.
I could listen to her sing or hum all day, but...
"Hey" I said, as she yelped, jumping. I chuckled as she glared at me. I knew what was coming, so I slowly started to back away. "You can't scare people like that, you jerk!" She yelled, running after me.
I darted out of the kitchen and ran to my room, as Lia caught up and came in my room as well. I jumped up on the bed, and I almost hit my head on the ceiling. Yep, I'm that tall, I mean I was standing on the bed, but yeah whatever.
I grabbed two pillows and threw one to Lia, as she successfully caught it. I held the corner of the pillow and stepped forward to smack Lia with it. But she saw it coming, and ducked, then slapped me with the pillow. Yeah, like on my cheek, like an actual slap but with the pillow.
"Oh, you're so dead" I said, as she laughed and rushed out of my room, as I ran after her. She stopped at the living room, the couch separating us.
I smirked as she backed away in fear, I started moving around the couch, as she did the same, but in the other direction, which caused us to spin around the couch.
That's when I came up with a plan. I started running around the couch, as Cordelia ran the other directions, and soon we ran around the couch around 4 times. When she slowed down, getting tired of running around, I quickly jumped on the couch and jumped onto the ground next to Lia, and lifted my arm to smack Lia with the pillow in my hand. Lia quickly grabbed my wrist, stopping me from smacking her, she took a step back, tripping onto the couch, as I fell above her.
I stared into her pretty eyes when I realized what position we were in. I was on top on her on the couch. Her cheeks turned into a light shade of pink as I chuckled.
Just then, the doorbell rang, just as I was going to get off of Lia and open the door, a guy burst in, looking around, his eyes landed on me and Lia.
He looked at me as his jaw clenched. "I'm going to kill you" He said, as he started walking towards us.
Or more specifically.
Me.
