"Hey Haz?" "Hm?" "Can I have a piece of gum?" "Yeah, sure, here." He handed me a piece of spearmint. I took out a pen and started writing on it. "Will you hold my hand? Check 'Yes' or 'No'" I slid it to him across the table, he read it and smiled, taking a pen from his bag. He wrote and slid it back. He added another option, 'Definitely'. My eyes met his and his hand was palm-up. I took his hand and held it the rest of our time together that day.

After I asked to hold his hand, he always held it out for me to take whenever we were together. "Hey Y/N/N?' "Yes Hazzy?" "Can I have a piece of gum?" I dug one out and passed it to him. He wrote on it, "Will you go out with me? Check 'Yes' or 'No'" He slid it to me across the table and I did the same thing he did to me. I wrote 'Definitely' and checked that box.

On our date, Harrison asked me. "Do you have some gum?" I dug another piece out and he wrote on the wrapper again. "Can I kiss you? Check 'Yes' or 'No'" I blushed, writing my own answer. 'Definitely' I slid it back to him. He leaned in from across the table, pressing his lips to mine.

Harrison and I had been friends for awhile and dating for a few months. After dinner, he asked me for a piece of gum. When he slid it back over, it read, "Will you marry me? Check 'Yes' or 'No'" When I looked up, Haz was on one knee in front of me, smiling proudly. I started crying. "Definitely." I whispered. He slid the ring on my finger and kissed me. "Crazy how we got together from a wrapper." "Definitely." I kissed him again.
