Anteiku
Should I really tell him this? Well...I guess he deserves to know.
"The guy who just walked out was the one who followed me and Hinami."
He raises an eyebrow just as the words leave my mouth. His expression's all I need to be able to tell what he's about to say.
"I tried to make it seem like this was just some cafe filled with ordinary human employees and a normal owner. I figured that maybe I could trick him." I explain, as I take my seat again.
"You didn't tell him anything, did you?" He asks.
Why the h*ll would I?
"Nishiki, only an idiot would do that. So, no, I didn't tell him anything. I know more about him than he knows about us."
But how the heck did he end up working at the CCG when he can barely even tell a lie?
"Alright." Nishiki says. "At least you're sticking with the plan..."
He turns and begins to walk away. But I soon remember something that happened during our discussion.
"Hey, wait a sec." I say. He looks back but then decides to take a seat next to me at the counter.
"Yeah, what is it?"
"Our plan...how do you feel about it?"
You didn't actually say anything about it before...
"Well, to be honest with you, I don't really care..."
Huh?
"What do you mean by that?"
"...It's nothing. Later, Ryumi." He says. And with that, he gets out of his seat and walks out of the cafe, the door closing behind him. I can't help but sit there, confused, because of Nishiki's words. I remain sitting but I shift positions, crossing my legs and sighing.
"Hey, what's going on with you?"
After hearing the voice, I instantly recognize who it belongs to; it's my purple haired friend.
"Hey, Mura. Nothing much. I'm just thinking about stuff."
"I see. So, you're back with that old nickname again?"
"Yep. I don't think you've really outgrown it seeing how you basically look the same way you did as a kid."
"I guess you're right." Touka laughs. "But you don't look too different either...so I should just go back to using my old nickname for you!"
...Are you serious right now?
"Ok, that one's probably a bit too much." I say, almost immediately getting flashbacks of all the times she'd used that name.
"It's only fair, Kuromo."
And...she did it.
"Fine. I'm gonna be calling you Mura a lot more from now on..."
