Chapter 2
"Sans! It's 8:29!" A voice called from outside the small skeleton's room. But Sans wouldn't wake up.
Papyrus banged on Sans's door again. "Sans!" He yelled once more. Sans finally groaned and pulled the blankets over his head. "We need to open the presents!"
"Fine..." Sans groaned, getting up from his mattress. He blinked, looking around his room. He had to find something to wear, even though he was a skeleton. Even not wearing clothes as a skeleton was embarrassing. And inappropriate.
His eyes flickered to an oversized sweater with a fluffy hood, and a white T-shirt next to it. He stood up and sleepily walked over to it, then changed into it. But he didn't change out of his oversized sports shorts. He loved them.
He opened the door to see Papyrus standing in front of him with a huge chef hat plastered on his head. He was holding a plate of dough- Maybe the waffles he tried to make. Emphasis the tried.
Sans pushed past his brother sleepily and walked out of his room onto the second floor. He looked down to see smoke coming from the kitchen. "Uhh, Papyrus?" Papyrus trailed after Sans, curious. "Whys there smoke coming from down there?" He asked.
Papyrus flinched. "Oh! Oh yeah. Those are the first five batches I tried to make. After a while, I just put some dough in the microwave." Sans turned and glared at his brother.
"So we're just eating microwaved dough?" He asked. Papyrus nodded happily, then rushed downstairs into the kitchen. Sans sighed. He couldn't get upset with his brother for very long. It was quite impossible with the way Papyrus smiled and the way he was constantly proud of himself. Sans yawned and stomped down the stairs.

After breakfast, Sans and Papyrus headed outside to check out the large tree in the middle of their town. They were quite popular in the town ever since they appeared there, so hey had to have gotten some gifts.
Once hey got there, they scanned all the presents until they each found 2. One was from the Innkeeper, another from someone called Toriel. "Toriel? I've never heard her name before." Papyrus said, examining the box. It was neatly wrapped in shiny, pink wrapping paper with a small violet bow. Sans smiled.
"She's in my grade," Sans answered Papyrus. Toriel was a short goat girl who lived in the Ruins, an area right next to the town where Sans and Papyrus lived, Snowdin. She was one of he smartest people in 1st grade, yet Papyrus had never met her yet.
"How does she know me?!" Asked Papyrus, shaking the box. Sans chuckled.
"I often talk to her about you," He replied calmly. "Now let's go home." And so they went home and opened their presents happily.
