it was silent. they stared at the child, dressed like one of their agents.

"who is that?" Nicky ask.

"it's Wolf. I found him in Wolfs trailer. I think it has something to do with that witch we've been chasing." Red replied. the Wolf pup watched them, he was about four or five.

"Wolf can you tell us what happened?" Nicky ask. Wolfs eye's widened. he hadn't even wanted to come here with that human, no way he wanted to be around anyone else. he backed up and turned, running out of the building. "that was unexpected." Nicky said.

"he did the same thing when I ask him a question too. he doesn't talk." Red replied with a frown.

"you don't think it's something the witch did do you?" Granny ask worriedly. Red shrugged.

"I don't know." Red muttered. "how do we find him?" Red ask.

"he let us tag his hoodie." Nicky said snapping his fingers. a map appeared on the screen behind him and he turned. he was sitting in the woods about two miles from the agency. "oh he's just sitting still." Nicky said.

"hey I know that area. he'd go there and sit sometimes when he was upset. he said the area meant something to him as a kid." Red said.

"we better go after him. its supposed to storm today." Granny said. Red nodded and headed after Wolf, Nicky following behind. when they got there, he was hugging his knee's staring off in one direction. he didn't seem to be thinking, but waiting. he was waiting for something, but what? Red walked over.

"hey, it's gonna rain Wolf, you should come back inside." Red said. he shuffled away from her and looked at her nervously, flickering his gaze over to Nicky as well, before looking back in his original direction. "I don't think he wants to come with us. maybe it's like an actual Wolf thing, not like him, but like an animal thing." Red said. Nicky looked up at the thunder.

"yes well, this storm is coming in. we need to go now Wolf." Nicky said. Wolf shook his head quickly. Nicky sighed and grabbed Wolfs hand. he dragged Wolf back to the agency. Wolf struggled the whole way.

"Nick, let him go. he doesn't like that. you're going to hurt him. Wolf told me once, Wolf pups are really defensive Nicky." Red said.

"I'm trying to get him out of the storm." Nicky replied. Wolf suddenly bit down hard on Nickys hand. Nicky shouted and let go. Wolf ran and hid behind Red, hugging her leg.

"I tried to warn you Nicky." Red sighed. she pet Wolfs head gently and he hugged her leg tighter. Red always had been good with kids, but she doubted Nicky had ever seen any kids. Wolf looked up at the sky as it started pouring. he whined and hid under Reds hood. Red scooped him up gently and hid him in her hood as she headed inside. "kids don't like being man handled Nick." Red said. he sat Wolf down inside and grabbed his soaked hoodie, pulling it off him. Wolf stood there, his fur puffed up and dripping. he whined softly, looking over at Red. Red laughed. "hey can we get a towel or something over here?" Red laughed. Bo Peep tossed her a hair dryer she kept with her. Red grabbed the shirt on Wolf and set it with his soaked hoodie. Wolf gave a cry of displeasure, but said nothing. she turned the hair dryer on and put it on him. Wolf stared at the hair dryer as he was dried off. she dried him and started drying his shirt and hoodie. Wolf sat down and watched Red.

"still not a word?" Granny ask.

"no he just doesn't speak." Red shrugged. Wolf looked down when his stomach growled, then turned to Red. "someone get Wolf a snack please I'm busy." Red said, drying Wolf's clothes still. someone brought him a sandwich.

"okaysoRedsonbabysittingduty?" Twitchy ask.

"she's the only one he seems to like." Nicky said looking his hand over.

"Nick? what happened to your hand?" Granny ask.

"Wolf taught him that he didn't liked to be grabbed and dragged." Red replied, helping Wolf put his shirt back on. he let her then waited for his hoodie. Red rolled her eyes and put his hoodie on him. Wolf grined at her and sat down with his sandwich. Wolf watched Red for a while, then watched the door. he waited for a while, watching the rain. no one ever even noticed him sneak outside after the rain ended, but when Red noticed he was gone she knew where to find him. she gave him a few hours though, that was an important place to him and she believed he needed time alone, even if only for an hour or so. she walked over to him. Wolf gave a silent sigh and turned to look at her. "hey, c'mon. lets go back to your trailer and watch some movies." Red said with a smile, offering her hand. Wolf looked hesitant but did get up and grab her hand. "hey Wolf?" Red ask. Wolf looked up at her questioningly. "why don't you talk?" Red ask. Wolf, of course, didn't respond, just simply walked with her. he looked up at her when he stepped into a puddle, looking down at his soaked pants. Red scooped him up gently. "now you need a bath." Red chuckled. she carried Wolf back to his trailer and sat him down. he took her shoe's off, then turned to Wolf, but he was gone. he left a trail of muddy paw prints behind him, leading to the bathroom. Red followed them, finding discarded clothes every where. she poked her head in the bathroom, Wolf had started himself some bath water. "think you put in a little too much soap." Red laughed as buddles started pooling around him. he laughed as well. she chuckled softly and went to find a towel and some clothes for him. there was a knock and she paused. she sat the stuff down at went to the door.

"heRedjustwantedtocheckonyou. IknowhowhardWolfcanbetohandlesometimes." Twitchy smiled. Red laughed and nodded.

"well actually he's better behaved as a kid. he even started his own bath and hopped in without people telling him to." Red said.

"thatsimpressive." Twitchy replied. Red nodded.

"yeah, he you gonna stay over tonight or head home?" Red ask.

"youkidding? I'mgoinghome. agrownWolfisbadwenshe'stired. Idon'twannadealwithbabyWolfwhilehe'stired. thatsoundslikeanightmare." Twitchy replied. Red shrugged at him.

"okay, well goodnight Twitchy." Red waived.

"nightRed. goodluck."Twitchy smirked walking off. Red raised an eye brow watching him go, then headed back to the bathroom. when she got there, Wolf was already dried off and dressed. he appeared to be waiting for her.

"oh, wow, you're good at this." Red smiled. "lets go watch some movies." Red said. she lead him to the couch, but noticed him watching the door. "I need you to stay here tonight okay? you can go back tomorrow while I'm at the agency, but tonight, stay here and keep warm okay?" Red ask. she saw his mouth open and could practically see the protest on the tip of his tongue, but it never came out. instead his shoulders drooped and he sniffled. Red grabbed him and sat on the couch with him. "don't get upset Wolf." Red soothed gently, but he pushed away from her, curling up in a ball. Red nodded. "okay. okay. I understand how it is. I'll go pick a movie." Red said getting up. Wolf stared at the door ignoring her. he whined softly. "I know Wolf, but it's really dangerous to be out there alone in the middle of the night." Red said. Red turned on the movie and sat with him. Wolf would sleep on the couch, so Red sat in the chair just in case he fell asleep. Red trusted he'd stay inside. they watched the movie, Red checking on Wolf occasionally. eventually she fell asleep. she wasn't sure how long she'd been asleep but a loud crash woke her. she jerked up quickly, her eye's instantly going to the couch, but Wolf was gone. she jerked around to the door, but it was still closed. Red turned back and noticed the light in the kitchen was on, so she headed for it. Wolf was sitting on the floor, holding his foot, in a pile of glass and milk. "Wolf? are you okay? why didn't you wake me up?" Red ask picking him up. Wolf whined softly, the look on his face clearly stating that he thought he could do it alone. "let me clean up the floor and then I'll get the glass out of your foot." Red said. Wolf nodded at her and watched her clean. once she was done, she pulled the glass from his foot, cleaned him up, and got him a glass of milk. Wolf drank his drink happily. "next time, just ask for help." Red smiled. Wolf bowed his head. "it's alright this time, but you could've really hurt yourself." Red added. Wolf nodded. Red set him back down and watched him go back to bed, then followed after him.

*next morning*

Red and Wolf walked into the agency.

"morning Red! Wolfie, what happened to your foot?" Granny ask walking over.

"he had a little accident last night. he tried to get a drink and dropped the cup and the milk." Red replied. Wolf yawned stretching tiredly. "and he's not that happy to be up so early." Red chuckled. Wolf glared at everyone. he wobbled off to go find some where dark to sleep.

"any ideas what that spot means to him?" Granny ask.

"none yet. but, I'll get to the bottom of it. he's starting to trust me." Red said. "I think." Red added.

"you should take him to wherever it is for lunch." Granny suggested. Red nodded.

"that sounds good." Red smiled. she continued on her work to find the witch with Granny for a while, but stopped so she could get something for her and Wolf to eat. "hey anyone seen Wolf?" Red ask.

"I think he went to nap with the sheep." Nicky said.

"Bo Peep is gonna love that." Red replied sarcastically, going after Wolf. Wolf was indeed curled up with the sheep fast asleep. Bo Peep was staring him down while he slept too. "he's just a pup and he's just sleeping with them. you don't have to glare at him like that." Red said.

"somewhere in there he's still Wolf." Bo growled. Red glared at her shaking Wolf awake. Wolf yawned and stretched looking at her.
