Chapter 4

•Ramon•
"Ramon!" A high squeaky voice like the sound of a mouse called out to me in the empty hallways. I turned around to see Tiffany walking towards me, her heeled boots clicking against the ground, the closer she got.
I noticed Riley behind her, trying to hold in a laugh as she ran up the stairs with her other friends. Riley, my sister was a piece of shit for befriending Tiffany.
"Hi." She smiled at me as she stopped in front of me, fluttering her eyelashes. She held onto my arm, and looked up at me. "Want to get frisky in the janitors closet?" she winked at me.
"I told you, I'm not fucking you in school." I blatantly told her while removing her arm from mine. "I've got work to do." I took a step back from her and she followed me.
"I heard a little rumour today." She pouted her red lips at me.
High school and their rumours.
"Someone saw you talking to Charlotte today. You should stay away from her, baby. She's a little psychotic bitch." Tiffany sighed.
I didn't answer her and I spun around and simply walked away. She called out to me, saying if I wanted to meet up after school. I ignored her. Riley had purposely become friends with her when I mentioned a girl called Tiffany wouldn't leave me alone.
Charlotte was beautiful. Her smile even if it was sarcastic as fuck, she made my heart beat crazily.
I walked towards the front door, just as I heard laughter. Josh. I turned around to see my friends walking towards me, Josh grinning widely, saying something as Calvin and Axel nodded and headed towards me.
"Is no one going to say how hot that girl you bumped into was?" Josh blurted out as we walked out of the school. "I don't think I've seen her here before." He chuckled to himself behind me.
I have seen her. The quiet girl with the big mouth that didn't give a fuck who you were. I wondered if she knew I could kill her in an instant or make her scream in pleasure.
Charlotte Woods. The mystery girl that sat at the back of the class with her friend that wore colourful dresses. I had seen her for the first time last year. She had walked into English class extremely late, her hair was a little messy and she walked towards the back. Her eyes were distant, as if she had no idea where she was. She walked towards the desk besides me and sat down. I had stared at her like a little creep and she had covered half of her face with her hands as she stared ahead. No teacher ever gave a fuck about her. They didn't care that she was late other than slipping a piece of paper on her desk which said detention.
Stupid fuckers. I had seen the tears in her eyes, but I saw the determination there as well. To not break down in front of anyone. I didn't know why she was so heartbroken or if a guy had fucked with her, but like a creep I watched her for the last few minutes of class. The moment the bell had gone, she was out the door and her colourful friend followed quickly behind her. Her detention was cancelled. I made sure she never got a detention after that and I didn't give a fuck if I was threatening teachers.
That was the first day I had noticed her but she had never paid attention to me. The first girl in school who didn't give a fuck. It was admirable and stung a little but I never approached her. I didn't want to.
Calvin liked her friend though. The colourful dress girl that was always quiet in classes but loud as fuck with Charlotte.
She was Calvin's school crush but he never had the balls to man up and ask her out. Apparently she had smiled at him once when they were 16, and he was in love with her ever since.
"I'm going to tap that ass." Josh chuckled as he walked besides me.
"I'll put a bullet in you if you touch her." I turned to face him. He lifted his hands up in apology.
Josh was new to our group of friends but he was learning to adapt. He nodded at me as I pulled out a pack of cigarettes and held it out to them. Axel and Calvin took one. Josh shook his head as Axel lit them all up with his lighter.
My burner phone buzzed in my black jacket and I pulled it out to see a message. Deal done. No trouble.
"It's done." I said to Calvin and Axel who chuckled to themselves knowing it was obvious nothing was going to go wrong.
"When can I join?" Josh asked quietly as he walked with us out of the school parking lot and towards my black SUV.
"One day." Axel answered him as he blew out the smoke. "Maybe when Ramon leaves school."
Calvin chuckled to himself as Josh rolled his eyes.
"That isn't happening any time soon." Josh answered with a dramatic sigh and I shook my head at them as I walked away.
I wasn't in school because I hadn't graduated like the rumours claimed. Riley, my sister was in this school and it was her first year here. I didn't give a fuck what the world said about me but I was here to keep an eye on her so nobody fucked her about. My reputation was never good, and I didn't want anyone to hurt her to get back at me.
The school staff knew who I was and what I was capable of doing, it was why they didn't bother me.
"Hey." Calvin called out to me as he followed me. I stopped and waited for him as I exhaled the smoke. "Was there any trouble with the delivery?" He asked as I neared the car.
I shook my head. "It all went smoothly."
The deal was simple. Get a drug package to a certain person without causing trouble. If trouble was caused, I would kill him. Without any hesitation, the man would be dead with a simple text.
I was Ramon Vitali, leader of the Vitali family. The mafia family that ran the underworld. We were feared by all, when my dad was the leader. Everything had gone wrong when he was shot during summer. I had no idea what to do but step up. The whole Vitali family knew what we did. Riley, my mom, the gardener as well. Every business deal went through me, and there were stupid people in the world that didn't want me to succeed. My father being killed was everyone's ticket to try and end the Vitali family but I wasn't going to allow that.
I had spent the summer in Italy, making sure my mom and Riley were okay. I never took a second to let myself feel the pain. That was weakness and everyone was waiting for me to fuck up. Calvin and Axel were with me, guarding my back. I killed off the small gang in Italy that wanted to destroy my family.
Nobody would hurt me or my family. I had earned the trust and loyalty of all men and women that worked for us. We had shares in companies I had never heard of. We had eyes everywhere and day by day, I was learning everything. The world assumed the empire dad had built was given to my mom. It wasn't. When his Will was read out loud to me and my family, he had left the underworld empire to me and to me alone. Mom got the house and the businesses that made us rich to the world. Riley was left with a shit load of money. Enough money for men to kidnap her and become rich little fuckers.
Our name was once again feared through the underworld, the police knowing they shouldn't fuck with me. I was the Mafia King in high school. It was a joke but nobody knew it was me running the business. The Vitali family were faceless to the world, a mystery nobody could solve.
I came back from Italy only for one reason. A gang called the Red Knives, stupid fucking name, was hellbent on trying to get rid of the Vitali name. I was back to find out who and where they were. They couldn't hurt me or my family. I wouldn't allow it.
Opening the car door, I sat inside. Calvin ran a hand through his hair, standing on the pavement as I closed the door behind myself and threw the cigarette out the window.
"Spit it out." I chuckled at him, noticing his hesitation. I pushed my keys into the ignition and switched the car on. It purred at me as Calvin sighed.
"I think I might ask her out." He mumbled under his breath. "I saw her today at lunch. She was talking to your girl, and she was smiling so much. It's fucking with me. I think I just need to ask her out to see if there's anything there." He started rambling.
Your girl.
I ignored it as I answered him. "Ask her out, take her out on one of those cliche dates but keep her away from the family. Don't drag her into this." I told him and he nodded, knowing the consequences.
Bringing a girl into the picture was the worst thing they could do. We had enemies everywhere, people who wouldn't hesitate to kill like us, and to destroy our chance at happiness. We never mixed business with pleasure. It was the only rule we didn't break.
Calvin nodded. "I'll only meet her at school."
"I'll see you at the house later. Keep an eye on Riley. I'm collecting the cash." I told him and Calvin nodded as I drove away.
I had work to do.

Ramon is faceless in my mind. I can't see him as anyone other than the body of Nick/Ian/ just abs after abs.
Question- Chocolate donuts or marshmallows?
