I hadn't seen her in months,

but that didn't matter.

Brandy was there, 

kissing me on the mouth with abandon,

in front of everyone,

who laughed at her enthusiasm.

I joined in with their cheering,

for Brandy's passion was a welcome embrace.

I soaked up her lovin',

not a care for who saw or commented.

But then...

Sophia arrived on the scene.

This girl,

oh, she is gorgeous.

Brandy is a sassy brunette,

but Sophia,

well...

let's just say this petite redhead was pure pedigree.

Still...

Brandy's street cred was pretty cool,

And no one could deny her strength and determination...

But, Sophia.

She was quiet,

calm,

and beautiful, too.

She saddled right up to me from behind,

and wrapped her heart against me.

Shocked,

for we barely know one another,

I turned to hug her.

And she kissed me, too!

Again, the crowd cheered.

They were as bad as I was.

It didn't matter than Brandy had just been in my arms.

But then,

who could ever choose,

between a brindle, rescue pit bull such as Brandy,

or a pure-bred Vizsla named Sophia?
