Chapter Thirty-Two: Attacked
~Little Tooth~
Chapter 32:
Attacked
-...-
Five minutes later, Oliver was the only one in the house. On the phone, he was left explaining a few things to a few confused people. The others, however, had split up. Baby Tooth and Jackson went to look around the park and the park's small woodlands. Jamie and Sophie searched around the court house while Jill walked the route Sissi took to get to school by walking every morning.
About ten minutes after phone calling, Cry was on his old motorcycle, looking around the shopping district of the town for a girl with a teddy bear and red-ish hair. Felix and Marzia searched the nearby squares to see if Sissi was hiding there. Oliver had even called Romana, Felicia, Penny, and Sophia, whom were all staying at a nearby hotel, to see if they'd help. Romana and Felicia went out to look together, Penny decided she'd like to have a walk anyway, and Sophia decided she'd ask around.
However, at the same time, while the police, Baby Tooth, and her friends and family were all spread out over the town looking for the little girl, something else was happening. Little Apple Orphanage's last act of vengeance...
-...-
Cry's motorcycle started slowing down a few minutes after speeding around and looking around for the girl he'd never met before. He didn't think it would be hard to find her, for a little girl standing out by herself in the darkness of night in the quietest part of Savannah, it would be easy to find her. But now Cry had to stop at a gas station to refill his motorcycle's tank. It was apparent that store was closed, but Cry didn't care. He could pay at the gas pump anyway.
Parking his bike, he did as he'd normally do. Pressed some buttons, placed the pump into his motorcycle. He sighed and watched the numbers on the thing slowly went up. He walked around the empty parking lot, for it seemed to be taking forever.
A few yards away from his motorcycle and Cry felt a light wind go by, making him shiver and shove his hands into his pocket. He sighed, his breath visible in the air. He was tired, yet so awake by what was happening.
Suddenly he felt something hard come crashing down on his head.
"WHAT THE FUCK!?"
Cry jumped, grabbing his head and turning around. Broken glass and the smell of alcohol fell to the ground, along with some of the man's own blood. He was in pain, shock, and anger. He looked to find who had hit him over the head, only to see someone he thought he'd never see again.
A skinny, pale man, who's hair was messy and blue for some odd reason. His eyes heavy and yet so awake, like he'd drunken too much coffee. The man who'd seem like he'd lost all his sanity after LAO went down, and who'd reuse to wear anything that didn't have blue. Probably had anxiety attacks and did too many drugs and probably drank a lot.
Cry's body shaking due to the surprise, yet fighting to stand up to protect himself, his blue eyes came in contact with Mr. Frosten's blue eyes. What was he doing here!? Mr. Frosten was supposed to be in jail!
"Dammit!" Mr. Frosten hissed and launched at Cry.
Cry dodged and watched as the older man fell to the ground. Cry tried to pull out his phone to call for help, but Mr. Frosten had gotten up faster then Cry planned. Cry could only do one thing now in order to not die, for it was obvious what Mr. Frosten wanted to do at this point. He had to fight back.
-...-
Felix and Marzia, keeping warm with their jackets and walking side by side, looked around, even calling out the girl's name.
"Sissi!" Marzia cried. She felt worried.
"SISSI HOOVER!" Felix yelled, his hands cupped around his mouth. Nothing replied back. They hadn't found or even seeing sign of the girl.
The wind blew stronger and Marzia got closer to Felix. The continued to walk down the sidewalk, passing a few college buildings and houses. The street lights were dull, but there. Their shadows followed them...but their shadows were not the only ones following them. The two stopped when they heard something ting on a light poll behind them.
"Sissi?"
They turned, hoping that maybe they had heard Sissi, but froze when they saw a man. A man with blonde hair, green eyes, large eyebrows. A suit, dark green. He had a smirk on his sallow face and his body was skinny. His shoes were a mess and whatever skin you could see had scratches. These two knew this man.
"Mr. Kirkland...?" Marzia gasped. He was supposed to be in jail!
Felix frowned, standing protectively in front of Marzia. He was confused, and didn't like this at all.
Mr. Kirkland growled, walking over, his pace getting faster and faster. Felix stepped back, pushing Marzia back as well. Felix's eyes widen to the sight of Mr. Kirkland pulling out a knife. Mr. Kirkland attempted to slash at Felix in the face, but Felix dodged. Marzia squeaked in fright as Felix did what he could to not get hurt. As she stepped back, away from the two, her hand reached into her pocket, only to realize her phone was not with her. Felix has his, but he wouldn't let her get anywhere closer to him as long as Mr. Kirkland was fighting him.
"Felix!" Marzia cried as she watched The knife slice open the younger man's cheek. Felix hissed in pain, a bit of blood falling down his face
However, As Mr. Kirkland smiled in pride, Felix growled and attacked back, grabbing the hand with the knife. Felix fought back. To win, he'd need to rid the mad man of the knife. Now if he succeeds is only a matter of luck. For A man out to kill was more dangerous then anything else, and the couple knew all too well what Mr. Kirkland was trying to do.

"I don't think she's here..." Sophie sighed, walking down the halls of the Court room.
The court, small and only local, was never locked. It never had to bee. The public used it to meet in groups and for clubs, and it was always treated right. Wondering if the girl had run into the court, Jamie and Sophie looked in there. The lights were on and the two were in the left wings of the place, the second and top floor.
"We have two more rooms to search, let's get to them and then we can leave." Jamie replied.
His hand reaching out to twist a door-nob, he slowly opened the door to the left of the hallway. The room was dark, so peeking his head in, he switched on the lights.
"Okay, Sophie, le-"
Jamie turned to see Sophie wasn't there.
"JAMIE!"
The sound of his younger sister's screams made him jump. He ran back down the hallway towards here he heard it come from. At the bottom of the staircase, he saw a woman chocking Sophie with a rope. Jamie felt the breath escape his body. It like something like a horror movie. Anger filling his veins, he raced down the stairs and punched the woman square In the face, making her fall and hit the wall behind her. She left go of Sophie, whom was gasping for breath. Jamie grabbed his sister and pulled her away from the woman.
"You okay!?" Jamie asked.
"Jamie!" Sophie sniffled, on the verge of tears. The rope was gone, now still in the woman's hands, but there was marks on the girl's neck. She left scared and uncomfortable.
Jamie set her on the bench and turned back to the woman, who was getting back up. Her hair was dark blonde, pretty much brown, and a bit passed her shoulders. Actually kind of long. Her eyes were green and she wasn't tall but she was skinny. Her eyes were heavy and she looked like a drug and drinking addict. Thought Jamie and Sophie have never met this woman head on, they knew her from the case. It was Ms. Elizabeth. One of the co-workers at Little Apple that murdered children. She should be in jail! What was she doing here.
The woman glared at him, holding the rope proudly in her hands. Sophie watched in horror as the woman attacked Jamie. Jamie's arm was cought with the rope, but Jamie let himself get pulled closer to the woman trying to kill him. Jamie, raised his other arm and struck Ms. Elizabeth. She ducked, only getting hit on the top/side of her head. She jurked the rope that had his hand back and made him trip towards her. She then smirked, her other hand grabbing the young man's throat.
"ACK-" Jamie gasped as he was pinned the the floor by the woman who was choking him.
Sophie got up weakly, running over and using the hard end of the boot she wore to kick the woman's head. The woman gasped, falling and hitting the floor hard. The siblings weren't going down without a fight, nor were they going to just sit there and watch the other die. They were smart and they believed in each other.
-...-
Oliver Time was quick to put on his shoes and light brown coat. He finished what he was asked to do and was about to join everyone else in looking outside. He left his lights and TV on, forgetting them in the hurry. As he opened the door, he was pushed back by strong arms. Gasping as his head hit the floor, he looked up to see Mr. Auditore. Taller, stronger, and meaner. What the hell was he doing here!?
Oliver quickly got up, keeping his eyes on the man.
"Stay still so that this can end quickly." Mr. Auditore hissed, reached out from behind his back to weld a baseball bat in his hands.
Mr. Auditore raised the baseball bat and attempted to swing at Oliver, however the shorter, smaller man jumped out of the way. Mr. Auditore turned to see Oliver grabbing one of the umbrellas from the bucket next to the doorway to the kitchen. However, only Oliver knew this umbrella had a hard steal backing. It was made for those strong winds you normally get in England or Norway. It was also great for defense.
"Stupid little man." Mr. Auditore hissed. "Just give up and let me kill you already!"
Mr. Auditore launched at Oliver, who held his umbrella in defense. The baseball bat, made of wood, cracked on impact, leaving Oliver to smirk. Mr. Auditore then did something unexpected, reaching out to steal the umbrella from Oliver. His strength was much more and Oliver's umbrella was ripped from his hands. Oliver gasped at the force, being knocked over.
Mr. Auditore turned and kicked Oliver, just missing his sensitive spot. Oliver groaned in pain, trying to get back up. The second his back was turned, Mr. Auditore pinned the man to the floor. Oliver struggled under the weight, feeling crushed. He growled, lifting his head in attempt to look at Mr. Auditore. In the corner of his eyes, he could see the man pulling out a small pistol, one that could only hold one or two bullets. Oliver wasn't going to let himself die. He pushed back, rocking from side to side. Eventually, He pushed the man off him just as he had cocked the gun. Oliver kicked the gun out of the man's hand before reaching out to grab it off the floor.
"NO!"
Mr. Auditore pushed the gun out of the way with the tip of his shoe, then reached after to pull Oliver down. He yanked the man over, making Oliver hit his head on the side of the couch, almost knocking him out. Oliver gasped in pain, his hands trying to pry Mr. Auditore off him. Mr. Auditore let go for a few seconds, only to latch onto the back of Oliver' neck, using his nails to dig into the man's skin.
Oliver, in a horrified state, bent under the weight of Mr. Auditore. He was pinned down once again. As he pinned down Mr. Time, Mr. Auditore reached for the gun that was almost out of reach. Oliver, trying to regain his senses, watched as Mr. Auditore grabbed the gun. Oliver only had seconds to get out of there, or he was going to die. His hand, pressed against the floor, now moved to reach into his coat pockets. He felt around for his keys. Getting a hold of them, he pulled them out.
As he felt the end of the gun being pressed to his head, he held on tight to the keys and swung them, stabbing Mr. Auditore in the side. This was where the left over scars of the stab wound Baby Tooth left so long ago were, and unknowingly, Olive had found the weakest, more thinnest, more vulnerable part of Mr. Auditore's body. The keys ripping into the man's flesh, Mr. Auditore gasp...and drop the gun. Oliver wasn't going to give up...not like this.

Tooth sat at the edge of one of the Tooth Palace columns. She wrapped her arms around herself due to the cold, however it didn't bother her at all. The Baby Teeth were working hard around her, and a few were playing with Jack Frost, who flew around a few yards away. Tooth felt down. She left like something was wrong. She didn't know at all that she was right. Jack, who saw her in a glimpse looking sad, stopped playing with the little tooths and flew down to her.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"I..I don't know." Tooth moved a bit when he sat next to her.
"You look worried."
Tooth sighed. "I feel like something is wrong."
"...Everything seems fine...I don't see the northern lights...MiM's not saying anything." Jack tried to comfort her.
"Jack..." Tooth began. "It's like...how a mother feels worried. My Baby Teeth are all okay, but...it's just something In the pit of my stomach bothering me."
"..." Jack looked at Tooth. "Have you talked to Baby Tooth?"
Tooth's eyes widen. Her stomach grew in concerns of pain. That was it! Her motherly set of mind was telling her something was wrong with Baby Tooth. Her feathers twitched and she flew up.
"Something's wrong, Jack! We have to go find her! NOW!" Tooth freaked out. Jack felt the concern reach him and he joined her.
"Come on then!" He said, letting the wind fly him towards Savannah, Tooth fluttering next to him.
They raced towards Savannah, having not a clue as to what was really taking place at that moment.
-...-
Baby Tooth and Jackson had looked all over the park, finding not a clue to Sissi's location. They were now walking into the small woodlands area. Sometimes people like to talk walks there, and so it was a possibility that Sissi could be there. They walked together, just off the small, weakened path that was put there. It was dark, but Jackson carried a light.
Jackson was worried, maybe just as much as Jill. He was keeping in all his fear and wasn't freaking out. Sissi was family to him, even if they hadn't met yet. Baby Tooth was worried, for the girl was young and could be anywhere. She could get hurt easily. They stopped at a large tree.
"What is it?"
Jackson leaned down and then got back up, turning to Baby Tooth. In his hands was stuffing. Cotton used to stuff stuffed-animals.
"You said she carried around a little bear with her, right?" Jackson asked. "I could be wrong, but this seems to be stuffing from a stuffed animal."
"You're right...but is it from her stuffed animal?" Baby Tooth asked in reply.
"It's just something.."Jackson sighed and let it fall from his hands.
"You think she might we a-"
"WATCH OUT!"
Suddenly Jackson shouted, jumping in front of Baby Tooth while pushing her out of the way and towards the tree they stood by. Baby Tooth didn't understand until two gun shots echoed through her ears. In a blur, she regained herself and turned to Jackson, only to see him hunched over the ground, his arm bleeding. One bullet wound could be seen, but the other could not. Baby Tooth gasped, running to his side. He was gasping in pain and for breath. Both their hearts were running at athousand miles and hour.
"YOU IDIOT!" Baby Tooth turned to see Mrs. Overland walking out from the darkness. A gun in her hand. "I wasn't trying to hit you!"
Baby Tooth shook. Mrs. Overland had tried to shoot her, but Jackson had noticed the woman just in time to save Baby Tooth's life. But now Jackson was bleeding heavily, with two bullet wounds, and Baby Tooth didn't know what to do. Mrs. Overland walked cover to them.
"J-JACKSON!" Baby Tooth cried.
Jackson turned to her. "RUN!"
Baby Tooth was hesitant, but the sound of his cracked voice made her heart break. She turned to see Mrs. Overland, cocking the gun again while wielding a sadistic smile on her face.
"RUN, DAMMIT!" Jackson screamed again.
And so Baby Tooth did as she was told...it was the only thing she could do. She couldn't fight back... Mrs. Overland was going to kill her.
