Third Person

It had been three days, twelve hours and 42 minutes since Thomas kidnapped Paige and slowly her body was giving up. Paige had officially lost hope that her father would find her, she didn't believe she would be found alive at least. Thomas had beaten her black and blue, if Paige was honest she just wanted to let her body give up, she was in so much pain, it hurt her to breath and every time Thomas came back he made it worse.

Intelligence had been working day and night in order to find Paige, they followed all the leads they could, the black van which Thomas rented got them only slightly closer to finding Paige but since he rented it under a fake name it made things harder. Hank took half an hour off to go to Camille and Justin's graves, although he would never admit it he felt like he was letting Camille down, if she was alive she would probably tell him to stop being stupid and that it's not his fault that Thomas had taken Paige from right outside the firehouse.

Hank got a call from Elle saying they had a lead to the house which Thomas had on the woods, or forest. So he got his eldest daughter to send the location to him and he would meet them their. Usually you wouldn't be allowed to work on a case involving family but Hank and Elle was having none of it, Paige needed them more than some random detective who won't even know her and what she's been through.

Before leaving the 21st Elle asked Trudy to make sure Olivia and Ethan didn't leave, she didn't want them to be taken by Thomas and they were stubborn, they would leave if they were bored of no one was their to make sure they stayed. Trudy said she would make sure they didn't leave and that they were okay which Olivia wasn't but she wasn't going to tell anyone when her older sister was still missing, that was the reason she wasn't okay, she was worried about Paige, she was worried she wouldn't get to see her sister alive again, all the bad thoughts were rushing through Olivia's head as Ethan hugged her and tried to reassure her that Paige would be fine, that Paige is a fighter and that she would be found alive. As Elle got onto the highway she began to worry's worry that Paige isn't at the location.

"If Paige is not their... I don't know where she could be" Elle exclaimed as she drove with Jay in the car to the location of Thomas's house.

"We will find her Elle! You've got to remember that" Jay reminded his wife, Elle let out a small sigh, she knew nobody would give up until Paige is found and Thomas is behind bars but she could still be worried; couldn't she.

After the drive to the house location in the woods everyone gathered around Hank to know the plan. Their was a car round the side of the house which they knew to be Thomas's after they quietly phoned Trudy to ask her to run the plates as she was with Olivia and Ethan.

"Elle, Jay, Hailey, Adam round the back" Hank began telling everyone their positions.

"Kim, Adam, Kevin with me round front" be finished telling everyone and quickly the whole team got into place. Once everyone was in place Hank quietly radioed to go in. Compleatly unaware that intelligence had entered the house Thomas was in the bathroom while Paige was falling in and out of consciousness. Her breathing was becoming shallow and she wasn't sure how much longer she could hold out, she was feeling dizzy, sick and was in so much pain.

"PAIGE!" Hailey exclaimed when she saw the 25 year old tied to the bed,

"I've found Paige" hailey quickly radioed before then radioing for ambulance as soon as possible. It wasn't safe to move Paige in her condition. Elle and Hank ran to where Hailey had found Paige, Elle found it hard to see her sister the way she was.

"Daddy?" Paige cried as she regained consciousness for a moment, she thought she was hallucinating. Hailey had cut the ropes which had rubbed Paige's wrists raw, they had been cut and bleed from Paige trying to escape.

"I'm here Paige your safe now" Hank said softly to Paige. Paige once again fell unconscious

"Sarge! We have Thomas" Kim's voice came across the radio and both Elle and Hank seemed to let out a sigh of relief which neither had realised they had been holding.

"How far is that ambo?" Hailey radioed the dispatcher

"8 minutes out" the dispatcher informed Hailey.

"I'll ride to med with Paige" hailey offered Hank and Elle, Elle looked to her dad and nodded, mostly because she didn't want her dad to leave his car but also because she knew he would struggle to see Paige in this state, it was already hard for her, she could just imagine how hard it is for her dad.

"Thank you" Hank said not taking his eyes off Paige, her eyes flickering open for a brief time Hank couldn't help but blame himself, he hadn't protected his daughter and she is now in a bad way. As Paige fell unconscious once more her heart stopped, her body was finally giving up. Hank was doing CPR on his daughter to keep her alive, he had to get her heart beating again.

Paige's POV

My eyes flickered open and everything was bright. I had no idea where I was and although I wasn't in pain now it didn't feel right. As the brightness faded I appeared in a room, it was weird. I saw myself on a bed with a jacket over me, dad was doing CPR on me, Elle was in the doorway crying into Jay's chest and hailey looked like she was trying not to cry. Outside the room Kim, Adam and Kevin were stood waiting, I'm guessing they were waiting to see how I was. I looked around confused, was I dead; I didn't want to die, I wasn't ready to die.

"Am I dead?" I asked unintentionally out loud. I mean none could hear me, I don't even they can see me stood here.

"Your not dead baby girl" moms voice came out of nowhere causing me to look around before I saw her, and Justin too, this was weird, surely if I was alive I wouldn't be seeing them, right?

"Mom! Justin" I exclaimed stepping closer to the two of my family members, I was scared, confused; I didn't know what was going on.

"Are talk sure I'm not dead?" I asked the pair of them as I looked around.

"Your not dead Squirt" Justin said placing a hand on my shoulder as I wrapped my arms around Mom.

"But you two are here; where am I?" I asked confused as I pulled away from mom.

"You aren't dead Squirt' you see dad is keeping you alive but you have to fight too." Justin said

"Your body has been through so much trauma the last few days with what he's put you through but you are a fighter Paige, your a fighter and you can fight this, your going to go back to every and be happy" Mom smiled as she looked towards Hailey, I looked towards hailey  and a smile formed on my face.

"You like her don't you Squirt?" Justin asked and I smiled wider, probably wider than I've ever smiled before.

"I do, but she doesn't like me that way. We're just really good friends" I said turning back to my brother. It was weird. If I told anyone I was talking to my dead mom and dead brother. They would think I have lost the plot, even I think I've lost it.

"Are you sure about that babygirl?" Mom asked

"I..." was all I said as I saw hailey had tears falling down my cheeks, maybe Hailey did like me but I couldn't be too sure

"Honestly I don't know" I sighed and mom smiled.

"She does. When your better; take the jump. Tell her how you feel and be happy. Be happy and free, it's all you deserve" Mom said kissing my forehead softly.

"I've got to go back" I nodded.

"But I won't be able to see you again, will I" I paused looking between Mom and Justin.

"No you won't squirt but we are always with you! We're always watching you and we always will" Justin said.

"I love you Justin, and I love you Mom" I said to both my mom and my brother

"I love you too Squirt" Justin said

"I Love you too Baby Girl" Mom said too. I closed my eyes and everything went bright once again. I wasn't dead, not yet and I wasn't going to die, not now; not yet.

Third Person

Once at the hospital Paige was immediately examined, and rushed to the ICU and placed in a medical coma so her body could recover, it had received so much trauma and the doctors on Paige's case all agreed that it would be best. Hailey waited in the waiting room for Hank, Elle and the rest of intelligence, she didn't know what was wrong or what had happened to Paige but she knew it wasn't good.

I'll call 51 and let them know we've found Paige

Hailey's sent the text to Elle, she didn't want her boss or one of her friends to have to worry about that when they have Paige to worry about

Thank you Hailey, any news on Paige?

Elle replied to Hailey as she got Jay to drive her car as she didn't think she would be safe driving it herself, not with how worried she was.

They won't tell me anything as I'm not family, Will said he'll see if he can find anything out, I'll let you know if he does

Hailey replied to Elle,  she paced the waiting room as she thought about Paige, she didn't want to loose her, Paige, not before she even has the opportunity to tell her how she really feels

Thank you again Hailey, we shouldn't be too long, will see you soon

Elle replied to Hailey who then found Sylvie Brett's number in her phone. She dialed Sylvie's number and waited for her to answer while she continued to pace the floor.

"Hi, im sorry it's late but I told Elle that I would phone you and let you know we've found Paige and she's in med right now" Hailey began

"Thank you for calling, I'll tell everyone and we will come to med" Sylvie said to the detective.

"We're in the ICU waiting room" hailey informed the paramedic who was worried about her best friend. The pair hung up just before Hank almost runs in.

"Where is she? Do you know anything?" Hank asked hailey who shook her head.

"They won't tell me anything because I'm not family" Hailey said and Hank went off to find a doctor.

"Your daughters body has been through a lot. We want to ask your permission to run a rape kit" the doctor said, Hank knew his daughter would want anything done to make sure Thomas was sent down so he agreed to it.

It was around midnight when all the tests had been ran and the doctors had decided to keep Paige in a medically induced coma for the time being, they concluded that Paige had broken rips which one punched her lung which then contributed to her heart stopping. The firefighters and paramedics of firehouse 51 all joined intelligence at the hospital despite the fact they were all on shift the next day., Hailey had gone in to sit with Paige while Hank and Elle headed back to the 21st with Jay, they were going to interrogate Thomas and Elle was taking Olivia and Ethan home for the night since they needed to sleep before college which they had at 9:40 and 10:30

"I know you can't hear me Paige but I do hope you might be able to actually hear me" Hailey said softly gently holding Paige's hand.

"I like you, I like you a lot. I doubt you like me back so I don't even know why I'm saying this. Probably because you can't hear me right now, although I'd probably feel real stupid if it turns out you can hear me" Hailey continued to ramble on. She wasn't sure what she was going to do, she couldn't exactly tell Paige how she feels when she is brought out of the coma; but she could offer to help her when she's discharged, she would need it after all.
