The next day I decided to spend it in bed, I was still nursing a hangover from my weekend with Maria and I was relieved it was Monday since I didn't have a shift until tomorrow, I honestly don't think I would be any use if I was on shift today, that's for sure. I was so ready to get back to work tomorrow, it may have been one shift off but I miss my firehouse family.

Would it be okay if I come by your firehouse tomorrow? I'd love to see where you work before I head back to New York? Xx

My phone pinged from my bedside table, I reached for my phone and saw Maria had texted. I knew she had always wanted to come see the firehouse but she had never had time.

That would be great M. You would love everyone and everyone would love you too xx

I replied before letting out a small yawn, I was tired, really tired so my plan to stay in bed was definitely needed today.

Awesome! What time would be best?

Maria replied which made me think for a moment, maybe around lunch time. I was cooking tomorrow, moms chicken wings with noodles and salad. Mom made these awesome chicken wings and she handed her recipe down to Elle, Olivia and me, I've been the only one to cook them though and they are a hit at the firehouse.

How does lunch time sound. I'm making my moms chicken wings with noodles and salad for anyone who doesn't want noodles.

I informed Maria, I remember Maria loved moms chicken wings.

I love your moms chicken wings!! Count me in 😘 don't forget to call the girl from the other night. I can totally see you two getting together 😉 x

I rolled my eyes letting out a small laugh at Maria, I mean Blair was gorgeous! She was incredible, She seemed interested in me but was I really that interested in her? Yeah she made me feel incredible, the things she did to me, what we did together, it was... it was wow! I had never had that with anyone, never. But was Blair the one I had a future with, I didn't see myself having a future with her, every time I thought of my future, I thought about Hailey Upton. I thought of growing old with her, adopting a child with her or even trying for our own child, going through IVF. Hailey was the one I saw in my future.

I dunno M, she was hot but I don't think she is the one I see a future with x

I sent the text and threw my phone onto my bed before pushing back the duvet so I could go and make myself a coffee. I headed into the kitchen and brewed myself a fresh pot of coffee. Being back home I felt a lot more anxious, the weekend had seemed to push the thought of Thomas to the back of my mind, actually all weekend I hadn't thought about him, the morning seemed to bring the thought of him back, the memories too.

Third Person

The weekend went by rather slowly for Thomas Wild, he was planning the final stage of his payback on Paige Voight. He was going to take her, back to his house, it wasn't near town, in-fact their weren't really any houses nearby, the only thing a close to the house Thomas brought were trees, loads of trees; you could say that the house was in a forest. Thomas spent the weekend finishing my up his plan, he had to pull it off without detection and seeing as he had been following Paige for weeks now he knew exactly where she parked when she was on shift, he knew where the cameras were, he knew how not to get caught. He got the chloroform he planned to use to knock Paige out, he hoped it would keep her out for at least an hour, even if it didn't be had planned to tie her up so she can't escape.

Thomas had also rented a black van which he planned to return after he dropped Paige off at the house. He had also parked his car a few blocks from the rental place so if the cops try to find Paige they couldn't connect him to the scene. Paige was completely unaware of Thomas's plans, if she did then she would call Sylvie and ask if she could pick her up. Thomas drove to the firehouse and parked close to where Paige would usually park her car and kept low as he waited for Paige to arrive

I woke up at 6:30 the next morning and smiled widely, I was back to work today and was relieved about that, I couldn't wait to be back on shift, it may have only been one shift but boy did I miss everyone, I missed saving people. Some people may think it's strange that someone is saying that they miss work but I love my job, I love being a firefighter and I love being a paramedic.

Good morning P, can't wait to have you beck as my partner today. See you soon x

Sylvie text me while I was getting ready for my dad, I made sure everybody was in my duffel bag and grabbed the book I decided to read while we are on shift. It had been on my 'to read' list for awhile but I had never thought of actually reading it until now. The book is called 'Girl In Pieces' written by Kathleen Glasgow, peoples reviews have said that it's worth the read so that's why I decided to get it.

Morning Sylv' I can't wait to be back at the firehouse, I'm cooking my moms famous chicken wings and Maria is coming by to meet everyone while she's in Chicago x

I replied to Sylvie while I made myself a tea, I didn't fancy drinking coffee this morning; I think I drink too much yesterday while I nursed my hang over.

I can't wait to see her again x

Sylvie replied again. I had just returned to my room. I could just imagine her smiling, Sylvie and Maria met briefly a year or so ago when Maria was in Chicago for a few days, I only got to see her briefly that time too but it was worth it, anytime I get to see her is worth it.

She can't wait to meet everyone x

I replied to Sylvie before tossing my phone back onto my bed so I could start getting changed. I decided on somw plain blue jeans with a white and blue striped t-shirt and my white denim jacket on. It would do me for picking up Olivia tomorrow morning too, she's staying at Ethan's parents tonight and Ethan and his parents, well his mom are going on a little trip to England to see her parents. Ethan may be Jay and Will's younger brother but he isn't their full brother, his mom and their dad had Ethan, his mom was from England and was on holiday to Chicago when she fell in love and fell pregnant with Ethan, she then decided to get her green card so she could stay and bring her son up in Chicago mostly so Ethan could have his brothers and father in his life

Pippin! Does anyone in the firehouse have any allergies? I was going to go to the fancy Donut store but I don't want to accidentally kill someone? X

Maria text me as soon as I had finished getting ready, we'll technically she sent it before I had finished getting dressed but obviously I couldn't technically read it when I was half dressed.

Nope, no allergies. Could you get me one of the chocolate coconut donuts please M, they are my favourite xx

I replied, the chocolate coconut donuts were to die for, Maria and I tried that one at the same time and we both loved them, actually the chocolate coconut ones were the only donut that we both love.

Of course. Those ones are amazing x

I smiled as I put my phone into my pocket.

I got to the firehouse at 7:55, it was five minutes later than I would normally show up but I didn't intend on that. I climbed out of the car and pulled my phone from my pocket since as I was driving to the firehouse

I hope it's okay that Knox is coming along today, he's driving but I said I'd check if it's okay he stays x

I read the message from Maria and begin to type back but before I could press send I felt an arm grab me and something covered my nose, it had a strong scent and as I tried to fight the person off, I dropped my phone and soon fell unconscious

Paige's phone fell to the floor with full force which cracked the screen as she fell unconscious on Thomas's arms, a smirk formed on his face as he tossed Paige over his shouted and hurried back to the black van, climbing in the back and tieing her up so she can't escape if she wakes up.

"I told you.. your mine" Thomas smirked climbing into the front of the van, buckling his seatbelt and practically speeding off so he wouldn't be caught. Paige's phone was on the pavement only a few steps from the driveway of the firehouse, Thomas focused on the road while Paige was still unconscious in the back. Thomas changed in prison and he wanted revenge on Paige but that didn't stop his feelings for her, although the two were best friends he had feelings for her, he wanted to call Paige his and If he couldn't have her, none could.

Meanwhile at the firehouse everyone was starting to get worried about Paige. Boden had taken ambo 61 out of service for the time being in hope that Paige would show up. It was 9am.

"Has Paige messaged anyone this morning?" Stella asked as she worried about the brunette.

"She messaged me this morning, we did our usual morning messages. That was about 6:45" Sylvie said not remembering the exact time that she messaged Paige.

"Has anyone checked if her car is here? She would never just not show up" Matt pointed out.

"I'll go and check, she always parks in the same place. Something may have happened to her" Joe said, it was just speculation as they weren't aware anything happened to her. Sylvie worried that Thomas had got to her but she promised not to tell anyone, although she knew that if it turns out that Paige had got to the firehouse that morning, she would have to report to someone what Paige had told her. Joe Cruz left the common room and made his was across the apparatus floor heading outside. As he reached the pavement he saw Paige's phone laying on the floor. Knowing something was indeed wrong Joe ran back into the fire house.

"We need to phone intelligence, Paige's phone is out their. No sigh of Paige" Joe said panicked as he worried about the younger girl.

"I'll phone Elle, we can't touch Paige's phone, it might have finger prints on"Sylvie exclaimed as she worried a little her bear friend, she didn't want to break Paige's trust but she was going to have to, she had to break her trust and Paige would understand, she would realise sylvie was only trying to save ber.

"I'll make sure none touches the phone, keep it how I saw it" Joe said, everyone knew they shouldn't touch it as it could be evidence. Sylvie headed to the ambo where she had left her phone, she grabbed her phone and scrolled to Elle's number.

"Hi Sylvie, what up?" Elle asked as she answered the phone

"Hey Elle, can you call come by the firehouse, it's Paige. We think something has happened to her. She's not shown up for work but her car is outside and her phone is too" Sylvie said deciding not to tell Elle what Paige had told her over the phone, it would be best to tell her in person.

10am came round and Thomas had pulled up to his house, Paige was still unconscious but would be coming round soon, he lifted Paige up and practically threw her over his shoulder heading inside. Thomas took Paige into the room he had set up just for this, a metal bed frame with a simple mattress and no sheets, only one pillow in the middle of the double bed. Thomas threw Paige onto the bed and untied her hair as she began to come round, Thomas grabbed the rope again and tied Paige to the bed as she let out a loud scream.

"What the fuck!" Paige screamed as she tried to fight Thomas off, she wriggled as she tried to get out of Thomas's grip. Thomas made sure the rope was tight around around Paige's wrists so she couldn't escape.

"Nobody can here you! Theirs no point in you screaming" Thomas smirked as tears began streaming down her cheeks. Paige was scared of what Thomas was going to do, she hoped Sylvie would tell someone about Thomas's actions.

Flashback

Paige had turned 17 almost 3 months ago, she had began training at the fire academy although she was still young, she was in fully but one of the tutors helped her and she was learning more than she was in school. Maria McKinnon and Thomas Wild were encouraging her and helping her study. It was New Year's Eve in a day and Thomas was still trying to convince Paige to to the house party one of the boys older brother was throwing, this boy was inviting a few people and wanted Paige to come too, they weren't best friends but they got along

"Come Paige, it's just a party." Thomas said as he tried to convince Paige to go to the party, she knew her father would allow her to go to the party, she doesn't ask for much and he trusted Paige would stay out of trouble.

"I'll ask my dad" Paige said, if he said yea then she would definitely go. Paige headed downstairs and found her dad with her little sister.

"Dad, can I go to this New Years party tomorrow?" Paige asked her dad Hank Voight. Hank told Paige that she could go and she thanked him happily before running off to her room.

"I'm allowed to go to the party" Paige told Thomas who grinned.

"Great, you know what you should wear?" Thomas said and Paige gave him a confused look.

"What?" Paige asked

"Your blue dress, the one you brought when you were out with Maria" Thomas grinned, Paige remembered the dress but she didn't know if it was party worthy.

"I don't know Tom' is that dress really party worthy?" Paige exclaimed and Thomas told her that it was worth it. The next day Paige spent it pampering herself ready for the party, at the party that night Thomas kept getting Paige drinks, she wasn't aware that every few drinks he was spikeing them, Thomas wanted to get Paige into bed, he knew if she was drunk or high then she wouldn't know what is going on or she wouldn't be able to say no but he was wrong, Paige said no, she was sure she did but she wasn't aware of what else happened that night until a few days later when Thomas showed her the video and photos thinking she would think it's funny. She didn't, she was angry and honestly she was quite scared of Thomas, Paige wasn't sure what to do, she thought thomas was her friend, she thought he was someone she could trust but at that moment she realised she couldn't trust him any more, Paige ran her hand through her hair and broke down crying when she got to her room, tears streamed down her cheeks as she curled up on her covers and sighed. Her best friend has broken her trust and she was never going to forgive him, never again.
