Ward's P.O.V.

Fitz's mother could talk.  The longer we stood in the center of the circle, it got even colder and the wind was starting to nip at my skin.  The trio made their way over to us, "where's May?"  Coulson hit a couple buttons on his phone, "she's already down and waiting for us." Skye had a confused look on her face, "down?" Coulson smiled and hit one last button on his phone before looking up at Skye.  "When I say down I mean down." 

A rumble shook the rocks and the ground quaked.  The circle that the team and I were standing on started to slowly sink into the ground with us on it.   "Oh." Skye was turning around, taking in what was happening.  

Lights around us luminated the cavern as we were lowered onto the ground.  A woman in riding boots and a long peacoat approached us after we had stepped off of the platform.  "I'm guessing you're the American team." Coulson smiled and nodded. "Alright.  Hello Jemma. Leopold." They sheepishly grinned.  "My name is Mackenzie Ash, but you refer to me as Silk."  

Silk led us as we walked down the different SHIELD headquarter. Skye leaned over to me as we walked, "why do we refer to her as Silk?"  I glanced over at Silk and looked back to Skye.  "All the trainees have heard her story."  Skye rolled her eyes and gave me a 'seriously' glare, "well, I wasn't here for regular rookie training."  I forgot about that. "Silk earned her nickname during agility training.  She tends to move gracefully.  She can move without sound and is amazingly graceful."  I have to say, I am rather in awe of her.   

Skye's P.O.V

Ward's face after his explanation was one of admiration.  There was a feeling that quickly surfaced.  Did they have a history? Does he know her personally?  I tell myself I can't be jealous, but the feeling stays.  "Did you guys kno-" I was cut off by a large blaring noise that bounced around the intercom.  "What's going on?!" I shouted against the sirens, trying to get to Coulson.  I was panicking, but FitzSimmons were strangely calm about it.  "Ward?! Explain?!"  He opened his mouth, but before he could talk, Silk beckoned us forward to a room.  

"Wait here." Silk left the room with the sirens still calling. "We shouldn't just be sitting here if something is going on!"  I glared at Coulson, "please don't tell me you're going to do nothing!" Coulson kept a blank expression on his face as I freaked out.  

The pulsing sounds suddenly shut off.  Everyone in the room was relaxed, unlike me, who was in a frantic mode of panic. There was a knock on the door and Coulson went on to open it.  In walked Silk who held a tray with cups and a pot of tea.  "Alright! Tea time bell's sounded!  Who wants a cuppa?!"  FitzSimmons grabbed for the cups and May and Coulson sat and waiting there turn.  

We all eventually got a cup, so Silk sat down next to Ward.  She moved in for a hug from Ward and quite suprisingly, he didn't resist.  They chatted about things I couldn't hear and the jealousy feeling I was trying to ignore resurfaced.  I sipped my cup until Silk stood up again, left the room, and returned with a folder which she handed to Coulson.  He opened the file and read through it, nodding as he went.  

He finished off his cup.  "Alright Silk. Welcome to the team."   I nearly spit out my tea, welcome to our team?!  

Silk nodded with approval.  Coulson looked at the team, "it's only temporary, but Silk knows possible HYDRA bases in other countries and the ways to get in need a specialist."  The rest of the team nodded with approval while I sat, my mouth agape. Ward smiled at her.  We all stood up and left the room.  Ward and Silk walked with Ward chuckling at whatever she was saying.  We took the Stonehenge lift up and walked back to the bus, where apparently Silk's stuff was waiting. 

Coulson faced the team, "First base to check out is in Carcassonne, France. You ready?"  He smirked before entering the Bus.  "Of course! Nothing new right?" Silk sauntered up to the Bus with Ward following on her heels.  I sighed before walking up with FitzSimmons.  "Ready you two?" Jemma laughed, "of course Skye! With Ward and Silk on the team! We'll be unstoppable!"  Fitz nodded in agreement.  I sighed again before following on the tails of the team.
