Judge, Jury and Executioner
//A/N: I have given the Principal a name, just so I can call him something other than 'The Principal', just in case some readers were confused.
Anyways, enjoy the chapter! :D//
Knock, knock.
Sun and Moon waited anxiously outside the door as the green-clad teacher knocked firmly on the blue door, his yardstick still in his free hand.
The animatronics couldn't help but give each other nervous glances, feeling as if they were kids getting in trouble for something, the sense of dread still evident in their circuits when they heard a deep, calm voice call out "Come in..." from behind the door.
The colbolt door was pushed open purposefully, not even a squeak or a creak sounding from it, as the maths teacher led in the two newcomers into the office.
There, they could see the office in all its glory; from the polished oak desks topped with books and sepia-shaded globes to the portraits of all the staff and pupils hung up all over the white walls.
A few windows were built in so the staff and students could see what was going on both in and out of the office, and to top it all off, in the corner where he could observe his kingdom, there sat the very man they had all been searching for.
Like Mr Baldimore, the man was very tall, wearing a baggy grey sweater with light grey stripes.
He had on well-loved blue jeans that were slightly worn at the hem from walking almost constantly, a yellow bow tie around his collar that only just obscured the top button of his white shirt, and he wore sleek black shoes that shone in the light that glowed from above.
He had messy brown hair and a stern, focused expression as he lifted his gaze from his mountain of paperwork.
But what both Sun and Moon found the most obscure were his eyes, which were nothing but black pits that seemed to absorb all light, just like Playtime's eyes.
The eyes were all it took for their systems to instantly clock on to who this was.
This was The Principal.
Playtime -or Suzie's- father.
Joseph Feng.
"Mr Feng?!" Sun and Moon both exclaimed in unison, a little surprised at seeing him once again.
The principal looked up at the two towering lanky robots in his office, and gave a kind smile, gesturing with an open hand to the chairs in front of the desk.
"My word, it's been a while, hasn't it?" he declared with a soft chuckle.
"Please, don't be shy, you two. Have a seat. I suppose my little one spotted you both, didn't she?" he presumed, watching as the two robots seemed to crouch rather than sit in the chairs due to how tall the two mechanical attendants were.
How in the heck did he know about Playtime spotting them?
"That she did, sir!" Sundrop confirmed, Moon glancing at his brother for a second or two before directing his attention back to the one in front of him and his twin.
"Helios alight, I didn't expect to see her again! She's gotten so tall, takes after her papa, I'm sure!" he added, the small group sharing a laugh over this statement.
"In all honesty, it must've been about.....four years, give or take, since we last saw her. I'm surprised she still recognized us, even though our appearance may have given it away" Moondrop mused, furrowing his brow in thought.
"I see" Principal replied with a slight nod.
"It has been a little while, I can tell you that. For ages, she would talk about nothing else but seeing you two. It was endearing, to say the least, and the fact that you're both here now goes to show the strange but amazing directions life can take us."
"Agreed, Mr Feng" Moondrop spoke up, his soft, low voice cutting through the air nicely.
With the brim of his hat shading his eyes, he just hoped that it would somewhat stave off the migraine just a little more. Even if it was just for a minute or two, he didn't mind.
"Which is why..." Mr Feng paused just for a second, studying the expressions on the animatronics' faceplates, before resuming his train of thought.
"I would like to make a proposition..."
Moondrop and Sundrop looked at each other, then at Mr Baldimore who was silently observing the conversation, then back at the principal.
"Proposition?" the animatronics asked simultaneously.
"But of course" Mr Feng continued, adjusting his tie before continuing.
"Now I know you two are already working for Fazbear Entertainment, however you have both got experience with children. It's in your programming after all, or so you both told me. Which brings me to my offer..." he paused, gaging the expression of the animatronics in front of him.
Sun and Moon leaned forward expectantly, in anticipation of what would happen next.
"Sun, Moon, how would you both like to work at Here School Academy with us? you can show us your expertise, and we can set you up in your own classroom. Admittedly, it probably won't be as big as the daycare you both currently work in, but it will be big enough for you both and your classes...would this suit you both?" he offered, dark eyes trained calmly on the mechanical brothers.
Sun and Moon looked at each other, exchanging a wordless conversation.
Sun's responses were all excitement and joy.
A new place to work, new opportunities, and hopefully new friends!
But Moon was not so excited.
No, quite the opposite.
He was nervous as anything; what would the management say? would they be allowed to do so? would they even be considered anything but the commodities of Fazbear Entertainment rather than their own individual selves? When would this be happening? What about the little ones at the daycare? he couldn't let them down!!
Moondrop was the first to speak.
"I-I don't know. I mean, I'm happy you're considering this, but I'm worried about what the higher ups back at the pizzaplex are gonna say about this. Truth be told, they're very strict, and this is coming from me, for Saturn's sake!" Moon piped up, with a nervous look in his glowing red optics.
"And -gosh- what if I scare the little ones? What if the higher-ups don't let us?" he rambled, feeling his hands beginning to tremble with fear.
"Now Moon, I know you're concerned, but I can assure you that there's nothing to worry about" the Principal responded, his voice still soothing and tranquil.
"If needed, we can adjust the schedules so you and Sun can both still work at the daycare, maybe having alternative shifts, or even start you both off as substitute teachers and call you in" he suggested.
Moon smiled slightly, his body mimicking 'taking a deep breath' to calm himself down.
"Oh stars, when you put it like that-" he started, before an abrupt answer from Sun rang out into the room, startling Moon and the two members of staff in the room with them.
"We'll do it!" Sun exclaimed with determination, as all eyes turned to him.
Moon was shocked.
They....they will?!
"I think I can speak for Moony and I when I say we can't pass up this opportunity! I think starting us off as subs is a fantastic idea!"
Sun's cheery voice and confident smile roused Moon's determination from deep inside of his core, the lunar animatronic clasping his hands together in his lap briefly and straightening up.
"Yeah...." he said quietly, then rolled his shoulders back with a small 'click', lifting his head up confidently.
"Yeah! Let's do it!" he stated assertively.
The Principal chuckled a bit, unable to help himself, feeling a smile spread across his face.
"Very well" he stated, extending his hand once again and shaking Sundrop and Moondrop's hands in a firm, professional manner
"You're both hired! We'll get you started off as soon as possible!"
"We won't let you down" the robotic brothers told him in unison, both sharing a pleased look with each other.
Finally, something different to look forward to!
To shake up their repetitive lifestyle, this was going to be great!
The two then got a handshake from Mr Baldimore, who was positively beaming, proud that they would have two more members of staff to help corral the students.
"Welcome aboard, you two" he said jovially.
"We can't wait to have you as part of our team here, I look forward to working with you!"
"Likewise" Moondrop declared, still a bit shocked, though Sun was chatting excitedly to the staff members as they were both accompanied down the hall, given their schedules and briefings before guided to the doors.
There were a few students that stopped and stared at the newcomers, but nothing else came of it thanks to their brief visit.
"What time would you like us in?" Sun asked, as they reached the front door of the schoolhouse.
"We'll have you in on Monday morning at 7am sharp" Principal replied.
"That way we can get the schedules sent to you and all the practicalities sorted out properly, plus it gives you time to be able to organize what's going on with the daycare and what time you're available."
"Thank y-" Sundrop stopped cold.
"OH SHOOT! THE DAYCARE! Moon, we gotta go!!!" Sundrop yelled suddenly in shock, Moondrop mirroring his look of surprise.
"I'm right behind you, brother! let's get there quick!!" Moondrop responded, and off the two went like bullets from a gun, speeding up the road until they were out of sight.
Baldi and Principal exchanged a look of their own, both smiling and trying to hold back laughter.
"Call me crazy, Principal, but I have a good feeling about these two. I may have been a bit skeptical at first, but they seem like good guys" Baldi mused, and Principal nodded thoughtfully.
"You and me both, Mr Baldimore. You and me both..." Principal hummed, the two turning to go back into the school to the sound of the bell ringing through the halls.
