"ma i tried to talk to him but he just don't care" as i walked out the door i got a call from my momma i just stopped walking and talked to my mom "baby at this point idgaf von wanna act like a dumb ass nigga so be but i won't be kept out of deya life" she sound so upset "ma i know i tired to tell him " i rolled my eyes

my brother never cared about anybodys feelings but his only he felt the only people that matter was him and deya nobody else my brother could honestly be careless "i swear that boy is gonna be the death of me" she said my mom has been trying to get into contact eith von for days now but nothing

"have you heard from lani?" she asked i rolled my eyes that bitch pissed me off always acting like she was better then us because she slept with von i was nice to her till my brother and her was no longer togehter i didnt need to be nice anymore "no ma you know this" she smacked her teeth

"now karla i raised you better then that you dont gotta like the girl but you gotta respect her she is deya mother after all" she said my mother was always the voice of reasoning in this family "ma no i cant stand that bitch plus she keeping deya from us" i said

i dont know how my mother can just be okay with how everyhting is going especially since we havent seen or heard from lani in a whole year "girl who care always as von let us see deya that is all that matters

i laughed i honestly loved her "ill contacted her and see what she says ma" i said to her  "alright good well i gotta nina cominb over and we gonna get some food bye baby i love you" she said "i love you too bye ma" i said as i hung up

i started walking to car and i accidentally bumped into someone "oh shit i'm sorry" as i looked up i was faced with this light skinned tattooed man "you good ma" he licked his lip and looked me up and down i stepped to the side to walk away

"ay i ain't seen you around here ma" he had this smirk on his face "my brother live here just came to visit" i turned around to start walking to the car but he stopped me again "trying to get away from that fast" he said i just smiled he was cute but i didnt want to seem like i was thristy for his attention "i just got place to be right now" i said looking at him

he handed me his phone "put yo number in my phone and maybe we can hang out sometime" he said licking his lip i typed my phone number in and handed him it back he immediately dial the number and my phone went off in my hand i raised an eyebrow "just had to make sure" he said chuckling i rolled my eyes "bye" i walked aay chuckling

i got into my car not as i was drove off i called lani"hello"  von voice came through the speakers "why do you have lani phone ? where lani?" i said confused  "none of your business what do you want karla?" he said with a little attitude i could tell something was wrong so i asked him"what's wrong"

i honestly cared about my brother he was everything to me "nothing karla just alot shit going on that im not in the mood to deal with" he sighed i could tell he was stressed "listen ma wants to see deya so when you back in town make sure that happens okay" i said to him i didnt want to make him anymore annoyed so i made it quick

"ill let lani know about it and set something up" he said i was pleased with his asnwer "alright if you need me for anything just call me okay love you bye" i said to him "love you too bye" we hung up and drove off 

Kehlani POV

von hang up on karla i honestly didn't care for her in the beginning everythine was cool with us but i dont know were we went wrong and why she disliked me so but she did "what did she want?' i asked him he looked at me "my mom wants to see deya so i told her i ask you" he said i honestly didnt want to keep deya from her "okay set somethig up when we get back" i said before turning to unpack von let me know we would be here no more then 2 weeks

"ill call her now" he said getting up to call his mother i sighed i couldnt piece together why my life turned out like this pregnant and in hiding from some weird i thought that maybe fredo was different i mean he made me feel like he was cool till he wasnt anymore he started acting weird always staring at me i should of seen the red flags but i ignored thinking maybe that just who he is but i shouldnt of ignored them flags

now im in hiding with my daughter trying to keep us safe im so grateful for von he stepped to make sure me and deya and our unborn child is safe he has been so stressed with everything going on that i think he doesnt know who to trust anymore he just came into the country we are located at because he spent a week in the states trying to look for cee and fredo and tee but no sign of them in sight

he figured he would come to us and just be with his family which i knew he needed i walked over to the kitchen and finished cooking i wanted to do something speical for him so i cooked him the first meal i cooked on our first date that he wouldnt stop talking about

"whats smelling so good in here" he said coming in the kitchen opening a pot up "stop go relax ill call you when its done" he backed up "alrigh dont hurt me now" he said chuckling i just laughed and shook my head i went back to cooking our dinner

i wanted to show von that even tho we arent together i still loved him and cared very much for him nobody could take his place in my heart and him being here and making sure his family is okay just showed me he is willing to fight for his family this isnt me telling him im taking him back but more so ill give us a chance
