"So you're telling me that you're an adult baby?" Yoongi asked, scrunching his eyebrows at Jimin. Jimin sighed and played with the ears on his bear. It was hard for Jimin to explain things in little space, but for the sake of trying to get Yoongi to listen to him he had forced himself into big space. Jimin hated it, and he was feeling worse and worse by the second.
"Not an adult baby. An adult with an appreciation for children's cartoons and coloring books." Jimin said. Yoongi nodded, but Jimin could tell he was still confused. Jimin reached under his bed and pulled out his basket of 'little' things. He laid out his coloring books and his pacifiers. "It's like you with your music, you blast your music through your headphones when you're stressed, I watch cartoons and color. It's the same thing."
"Except it's not, because when I'm stressed I don't sleep in your bed and call you daddy." Yoongi pointed out. Jimin sighed and began to color in a picture of a kitten, feeling his stress levels heighten. He didn't need this right now, all he wanted was to watch Spirited Away and cuddle with his bear. He definitely did not think he'd have to explain himself to Yoongi, or to anyone, for that matter.
"It's fine if you don't understand, hyung." Jimin said. "Just please don't look down on me for my coping mechanisms. I never said anything when you started bringing home men. You can't say anything when I bring home new pacifiers and stuffies."
"You're comparing my sex life to stuffed animals?" Yoongi scoffed and moved off of Jimin's bed. He knew he was reacting the exact way Jin had told him not to, but he couldn't think of the appropriate thing to say. "I'm sorry, I'm trying not to be an asshole. Let me wrap my head around this."
"Let me ask you a question first," Jimin said, grabbing onto Yoongi's sleeve. Yoongi raised his eyebrows and Jimin sighed. "Did you have to take any time to wrap your head around being friends with Jungkook? He's a little, he's a mean little, too. He treats Jin hyung so badly. But he's a little, and you don't treat him any differently."
"Jungkook is an adult bab– a little? That doesn't even seem right." Yoongi muttered to himself. He pulled his sleeve out of Jimin's small hand and sighed. "Look, give me a day. Let me research so I can figure out to make sure you're comfortable in your space any time you need it. Just give me like two seconds."
Yoongi practically ran to his room, fumbling for his phone. He needed to call Jin and find out what the hell was going on. He pressed Jin's contact name rather harshly and pressed the phone to his ear, waiting for the older man to pick up.
"Why didn't you tell me I was living with a man baby?" Yoongi asked as soon as Jin picked up the phone. He could hear Jimin watching Spirited Away while he tried not to freak out across the hall. The fact that Jimin was a man baby didn't bother him as much as the fact that he would have to take care of the younger boy. Yoongi was young, only a few years out of college, he didn't need a baby.
"It wasn't my place to tell you." Jin said. He sounded like he had just run a mile at a full sprint, and Yoongi could hear the same thing from someone farther away from the phone. The person let out a small whine and Yoongi pulled the phone away from his face, staring at it in disgust.
"Do you need me to call back later?" Yoongi asked, holding the phone just close enough that he could hear Jin's answer, but not close enough to hear everything else going on in the background.
"No, we can talk now." Jin said. He heard a muffled cry of protest in the background, and Yoongi flinched. He couldn't believe Jin was having sex while on the phone with him. After a few seconds of Yoongi staring dazed at the wall, Jin spoke up again. "Actually, it might be better if you just come over."
Yoongi heard a chant of, no, no, no daddy please I'll be good, I promise I'll be good, from the other line, and cringed mentally. He almost hung up after hearing Jin's hushed reply of no baby boy, this is your punishment, but Jin was talking to him again before he could press the red button.
"Yeah, so just come over. I'll see you in a few." Yoongi hung up and tossed his phone on the bed. He contemplated crawling back under the covers and sleeping for a few hours, just until he knew that whatever was going on at Jin's place was over, but he decided against it.
"Hey, Jimin, I'm going over to Jin hyung's, okay?" Yoongi said, popping his head into Jimin's room. The younger boy was asleep, thumb in his mouth and laptop hanging precariously off the side of the bed. Yoongi walked in quietly and moved the laptop to safety before looking at Jimin, who was shivering slightly. He pulled the blanket up over his legs and moved Jimin's bear a little closer to him. Yoongi looked at the bear, "this didn't happen, got it?"
Yoongi walked to Jin's apartment, trying to drag out his arrival time. He really didn't want to walk in on what we was happening earlier. The door was cracked when Yoongi got there and he shoved it open. This was something Jin always did, left the door open for Yoongi so he didn't have to answer the door. Yoongi walked in to see Jungkook on the couch, sitting perfectly still with his legs clenched together and tear tracks on his face.
"Hey, Yoongi, care for a drink?" Jin asked nonchalantly, poking his head out of the kitchen. Yoongi shook his head and sat down on the couch next to Jungkook, who looked like he was going to break down into tears as he moved slightly when Yoongi put his weight on the couch.
"Hi, hyung." Jungkook said, his voice quiet. Yoongi noticed the way he had his hands clasped into tight fists, and he felt bad for him. Whatever he did to piss Jin off Yoongi was sure he wouldn't do again. At least for a little while.
"So," Jin said, sitting down on the couch opposite of them. Jungkook tensed when Jin looked at him, and Yoongi couldn't help but wonder what kind of kinky shit his friends were into. "Jimin told you."
"I guess." Yoongi shrugged and shifted slightly, and Jungkook whimpered as his legs rubbed together. Yoongi's head whipped around to look at him. "Are you okay?"
"F-fine, hyung." Jungkook said. He scooted as far away from Yoongi as he could, as if Yoongi was the one causing him pain.
"Jungkook, you can go to your room." Jin said. Jungkook practically jumped off the couch, but before he could get too far Jin called after him, "don't get any ideas!"
"So did Jimin ask you to be his caregiver?" Jin asked Yoongi after they heard Jungkook's door slam closed. Yoongi shook his head and Jin nodded. He pulled a box out from under the couch, and Yoongi could see that it was covered in stickers and crayon marks. "Well, when he does, there's a few things you'll need to do."
"What if I don't want to be his caregiver?" Yoongi asked. Jin moved to sit next to him on the couch, still holding the bright box.
"It can be completely platonic, Yoongi. You don't have to think of him as a boyfriend or lover, you just have to take care of him. It's not that hard." Jin opened the box and pulled out a folded up piece of paper and handed it to Yoongi. "This is a list of rules. I set them for Jungkook after he asked me to be his caregiver a few years ago. If he doesn't follow these, he gets punished. Sometimes it's extra chores, or no television, or I take his stuffies away for a few days. Other times, like if he's extremely bratty, the punishments can be more sexual. But not everyone does that because their littles aren't comfortable with it. So you'll have to talk to Jimin about that."
"You have to handle Jimin with an iron fist and caress him with a velvet glove. You need to know what is too harsh, and when he needs to be put in his place." Jin said. Yoongi stared down at all of Jungkook's rules, nodding deftly along to whatever Jin was saying.
"You also need to be aware of Jimin likes and dislikes. I've only talked to him about it a few times before, but there's little things that Jimin really loves. He likes Disney movies, and being praised, and doing everything he can to please everyone all the time. He'll try to take care of you, make sure you're always happy and stress free. Don't let Jimin take all the weight though, treat him like I treat my Namjoon – like a prince. All Jimin really wants is to be loved for who he is, and now, Yoongi, it's you're job to be there for him."
Yoongi nodded some more and sifted through the box. He found a notepad with the words how to be a good daddy/mommy or caregiver written on the front. He held it up to Jin. "Can I borrow this?"
"Yeah, yeah of course." Jin said. Yoongi opened his mouth the thank him when he heard a loud moan come from behind Jungkook's door.
"Little shit," Jin muttered, picking himself up off the couch. He pushed the box back under the couch and looked at Yoongi. "I have to go take care of something."
"I'm just going to go home, I'll see you around, hyung." Yoongi said. Jin disappeared behind Jungkook's door and he could hear their muffled whispers. Yoongi stared down the hall for a few seconds until he heard a whimper and he practically bolted out the door, almost forgetting to shut it behind him.
Yoongi looked down at the notepad in his hand and flipped through the pages as he walked home. There were things advising that you buy your littles favorite snacks, a few pages worth on how to build the best blanket fort, and even a page full of questions to ask your little to get them into little space.
"This shouldn't be that hard. I can do this."
Yoongi muttered to himself, shoving the notepad in his back pocket. "I'm Min Yoongi, for Christ's sake. I'll be the best damn caregiver ever."
