THE MYTH OF ORPHEUS AND EURYDICE was one coated with tragedy made from the intense infatuation of love between two people. The hopeless boy with a song in his heart and the poor girl with a longing to be free were two people destined to become a greek tragedy. The grievous story of the two lovers could have been a happy one, if only Orpheus hadn't turned his loving eye to Eurydice, if only the trust in his heart could've overpowered the love. But even though their story ended in flames, their legacy lived on. The greek tragedy between the two soulmates was meant to spread the pavement for future romantics, in hopes that they to wouldn't fall for the devils taunts. Years upon years have passed, and the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice had now found its tale engraved in the lives of Sirius Black and Lyra Cardinal.

THE FATE OF LYRA CARDINAL WAS sealed the moment she was born. Unbeknownst to her muggle father, she not only possessed an active magical gene, but also inherited melpomone: an superbly rare and powerful singing ability thought to be found only in pure and half-blood witches, and widely controversial for its association with the dark arts. Though very little is known about this strange gift, as records scattered scarcely throughout the centuries, it was said that this propensity would lead the downfall of those whom possessed it.

BUT AFTER A HARROWING ACCIDENT takes place during the summer of '74, Lyra was determined to defy the stars, and cheat the prophecy she had been thrown into. She attended Hogwarts not for the sake of bettering her magical abilities, but instead to find answers about the curse bestowed upon her. But when her seemingly straightforward path crosses with that of a certain four Marauders, Lyra finds her plans interrupted by an arrogant, self-absorbed, prodding dunce named Sirius Orion Black, who seemed annoyingly keen on uncovering her secret ability. But it wasn't her ability that ultimately lead to Lyra's demise, but rather the naive love of said dunce.
