I felt the sting of the gash running across my thigh as I limped towards my hover bike, the Tessla orbs tucked tight against my chest  to avoid them being broken in the shoot out.

May screamed for me to hurry as the others gave me cover fire.

This was gross over kill for some fucking Tesslas! Who would kill someone over some fucking druids? But then again this place was ridiculously over guarded, maybe there was something special about these Tesslas?

I grit my teeth as I swing my leg over my hover bike and scream for the others to high tail it to the outer ring, the outer ring being code for our hide out on the barren rocks of Saturn but was also the name of about 600 bars on several planets. Let the assholes search for me.

I know I've lost alot of blood, we had only been driving for 4 hours but my vision was fading and im could feel myself getting weaker, I needed to stop for the night.

I came to a stop on one of the deserted highway red lights waiting for the multilevel bridge to rise from the lower highway to mine when a bullet flew past my face.

I had sent the others ahead to make preparations with the person who hired us to steal the Tesslas, a sourly war monger with a passion for the exotic and for rarities.

I didn't like him but beggars cant be choosers. Wtf did we steal?

I turn my hover bike off the side of the highway bursting through the guard rail as my vision faltered when I voice literally screamed at me to stay away.

Jerking back awake I reattach to the hover bikes controls and speed to an emergency shelter we set up eons ago.

"Ok voice who the fuck are you?" I say as I pace the small cave.

We have gone over this already, human named Mel short for Melan born 3065 yyx in slums of ardicia 57th garbage moon of planet Neal.

"How do you KNOW alll of that???? And dont fucking say it's in my blood!"

My eye twitched in my frustration and decided to just say fuck it, I'd lost my mind and was talking to my subconscious! I walked to the makshift bathroom as i attempted to contact my crew again, they should have reached the outer ring by now and I needed a voice of reason but still no awnser!

My eyes caught sight of my unruly reflection, I was smeared with blood, my curly black hair looked as if I had rolled around on the ground with twigs and shit sticking out of it and i knew it would be a bitch to detangle, my usually exotic caramel skin the made girls and boys alike drool was covered in mud,blood and grime that no hooker would touch with a 50 foot pole.

At least my dick was fine...

Why is your dick most important? You look horrible and you have a lack of essential blood. An estimated 4 weeks to regenerate enough to safely venture out.. 4 days before you can safely wash alone.

I grit my teeth as I look around again, that fucking voice! I can worry about my dick If i wanted!

"STOP READING MY MIND" I scream as I start stripping. I was gonna take a bath! Fuck that voice! 

As I took off my shirt a Tessla orb fell to the ground, it must have fallen out of the sack during the heist.

This one was smaller then the others, I'd never seen one so small before, the only  size being about a baseball this was about the side of a small plum. The coloring was wrong too, it was too intricate, looking as if someone has attempted to fit the galaxy in it.

Thank you for taking me out of your shirt. It was rather dirty

I dropped the orb.

It was the FUCKING Orb!!! how? I thought they needed to be released in order to serve and communicate?

I do not. I can communicate in any form I am forced into.

"W-What?" I stutter out as my vision slowly starts to fade. The last thing I remember is the orb telling me to say something strange.

3 weeks later

Good Morning Mel, how are you feeling?

"Like shit" I say as I sit up and watch items being moved around telepathically by Ruin.

Ruin is the AI in the Tessla orb, o dont understand it but for an Artificial intelligence he is very... alive? When I was on my death bed Ruin had me give a partial command that allowed him access to vibrations or some shit in the air to contro.... Telepathy- I gave the command for telepathy! I didnt understand that science shit! But he took care of me and healed me.

I hate to say but I've grown attached to Ruin,  he is kind and caring even if a little bit of a ...dick.

Stop thinking so hard Mel, you'll get another wrinkle!

His bell like laugh floated through my head as I laughed along with him.

"Fuck you, Ruin baby" I said before I could help it.

"Right, right. Sorry Ruin" it was a lie. We both Knew it was a lie but we ignored it.

1 week later

"Did I forget anything?

Negative Mel, All is accounted for!

"Good we are off then babe, I cant wait for the others to meet you!" I say as I tighten the makeshift necklace that carried ruin around my neck before throwing my leg over my hover bike and setting off.

What will you tell your client if he asks about me? Ruin asked and I could hear how nervous he was.

"Nothing baby, hell take the Tessla orbs and well tell him that was everything."

We reach the hide out a day later and I'm swarmed by my crew asking how I was and that they thought I was dead.

Ruin was unnaturally quiet and I could feel the orb jitter. For one with such a mouth he was so shy♡

Once I calmed everyone down I got ready to reveal ruin, i could feel the excitement brewing and my ctre felt it to!

"Guys I'd like t-"

Stop! There is an unknown entity here!

I jerked back at the knowledge that someone was in  our hide out. Wtf.

"Who else is here?" I asked as my crew who I trusted with my life shot looks at each other, untrustworthy looks.

"No one boss, what makes you say that?" May said as she glanced at the others

"Yup it's just us!" Said Lee but I saw his hand twitch as if he wanted to grab his gun. "What did you want to tell us? Is it about the Tessla orbs?"

For the first time in years I felt unsafe and alone, I thought they were my makeshift family, the only family we had ever know being orphans and slaves. I thought I knew them...

I cleared my throat and began again but with a different set up as I felt warmth spread from ruins orb. It enveloped me like a warm tight hug and it calmed my nerves and the pain.

I am here and I will. Ever betray you.

" Right, I thought I felt someone on the building... guess I was wrong huh?" I say as I look at each and every one of my crew.

"Anyway i hot the Tessla orbs, did you get in contact with the buyer?"

"Oh well no we thought they were lost." Lee said and the hair on the back of my neck stood up.

"What made you think they were lost? Also why didnt any of you awnser the emergency beacon? Its protocol if anyone is missing for 5 hours to check the frequency for maydays."

All at once the excuses started

"Oh it hasn't been working in days!"

" I forgot!"

"After the first week I thought you were dead"

"How could you have survived"

And that was the real truth, how could I have survived, no one knew I was on that stretch of highway, no one except My crew.

I drew my gun but felt one push against my temple.

"Drop it" came the unforgettable voice of my Ex.

"Flex. So it was you, you turned my crew agaisnt me!" I screamed but he just laughed

"I didn't have to do shit! They wanted you dead, always turning down good paying jobs, they got tired if it."

"We don't work in slave trade! We came from that! How could you, any of you, want to do that to another!" I screamed trying to make them see reason

Mel, the will kill you. That was the real job. Give me the release command

"NO, Not yet! They can see reason!" I said as I looked at the cold faces of my once dear family

"Who the fuck are you talking too? Can we just end this? Granted I am glad you came back with the orbs! That's some extra play money for us." May said as she kissed flex

"Fuck me on his corspe" she laughed and they all laughed.

Greed had stolen them long before I realized  or had I always been alone? A tear ran down my face as i said the words Ruin was repeat over and over as Flex cocked the gun.

"I give you permission to materialize: Command Alpha break meta ruinilazation."

"What the fuck did he say" Lee yelled as the orb glowed a brilliant silver then shattered on my chest sending shards deep into my chest.

I screamed and fell to the ground and I heard a loud gasp before screams erupted around me.

I laid there as their blood coated me I warm splashes. What had I done?

What had I done?!!

My breath wasnt coming out and I tore at my throat because it felt like I was choking until two strong hands grabbed my wrist, yanking me to my knees.

He was beautiful, long silver hair hung down to his waist and eyes the color of spun gold, four huge wings erupting from his back with silver claws on the tops of each wing. Blood dripped off of him and onto my cheek as he towered over me and I couldnt help the feat that ran through me.

"Hush my love, they are gone. There is no need to fear." He said and it was Ruin, his voice to amplified and followed with an underlying growl. He wouldn't hurt me, right?

"Never. I will protect you. What ever you desire I'll give to you. Even if it's all the world's in the multiverse" he said as his form changed and became elven like and his wings shifted into his back with a hissing sound as if they were sharp.

" what are you Ruin?" I asked as I touched his anglic face as his hair shortened to just below his ears and his height stopped about a 3 feet of my 6"2 and he threw himself into my arms before giving me a shy kiss on the lips.

"I am yours. Your angel of Ruin" he said with a deeper kiss.

And I finally truly felt at home and safe with my bloody angel and the bodies of those who dare hurt me strewn around me in pieces.
