Chapter 1: Abandonment
I am Ralts. I was born with two of my sisters and three of my brothers. My siblings had pink horns, a green shell, and white fur. But me...I looked different than my siblings. I had orange horns, a blue shell, and lighter tint of lavender fur. My mother didn't like the way I looked. So she treated me different than my brothers and sisters. They were treated like kings and queens, while I was the exile. My mother praised their work and cursed mine...Even though I did better than my siblings. She fed them food while I got leftovers. I didn't know what I did wrong. I tried to get her to love me like she did my siblings. I tried everything. But the sad fact is, she would never love me. Not even like me. I was an outcast.
My siblings were very kind to me, they sympathized my treatment. My older brothers, gave me advice on the work I did to make it better, hoping that my mother would praise it. My older sisters, they give me treasures they find in the forest. All the treasures they give me they hide underneath the roots of the tallest ancient tree. One evening, they found something in the bushes, while treasure hunting. It was a gold pendant with a pinkish pearl in the middle. Engraved in it was the word, hope. I thought it was so beautiful, I wore it around my neck everyday.
Then, my life took a turn for the worse. My mother finally decided to get rid of me.
She told me, "Leave! For I can no longer stand you in my family. Be glad I didn't destroy you! LEAVE AND NEVER RETURN!!!"
My siblings begged her to let me stay. She didn't listen to their desperate pleas. She told me she never wanted to see me again and That she hopes that bigger badder predators would wipe me off the face of this world. My siblings crying, and I as well, I bid my siblings farewell and that told them I would miss them. My mother didn't even give me any provisions. As I left, my mother turned to my siblings and told them, "Don't worry. Everything will be better now that SHE is gone. Trust me."
