Track 2: Erase

"Good morning, Haruka." Y/N greeted as she walked into the music room, smiling cheekily after her morning spent with breakfast in bed with Kazue.

"L/N-san, good morning!" Haruka immediately jumped up from her seat and bowed in her greeting.

"You don't have to do that." Y/N sweatdropped, waving her hands back and forth. "And just Y/N is fine. I like being on first name bases with those I work with." She explained with a smile.

"Oh." Haruka stood up straight and blinked, before she smiled back happily and once more sat down at the piano, leaving some room on the velvet bench for Y/N to sit beside her. "I-I don't mean to pry, but you look really happy this morning, considering what happened with Syo-kun...Did something good happen?" The orange haired female curiously questioned the more experienced female.

The (F/C) blinked, as if confused, before her cheeks dusted a soft pink and she tugged at her hair embarrassed. "Ah, yes, I guess you can say that. Kazue brought me my favorite breakfast this morning and we watched a couple of our movies before he had to go drop off Fumie at the airport." She explained.

Haruka slowly nodded her head, as she remembered how Fumie had gotten an emergency text in the middle of dinner for her to return to her home because of something really important happening. The green haired keyboardist looked so terrified that it concerned everyone who had witnessed it, especially Y/N who had called off the rest of dinner so that Fumie could go to sleep early and leave first thing in the morning.

"I've been meaning to ask...But you and Kazue-san are very close. Have you known each other long?" The orangette then questioned, in which brought a darker hue to cover Y/N's cheeks.

"We've known each other since I joined METEORITES." Answered the (F/C)ette. "We've actually been dating for almost three years." She added, causing Haruka to stare at her wide eyed.

"Are you allowed to do that?" Haruka asked, looking completely concerned. She had never heard that Emi Aoi was dating anyone, that was actually one reason that the idol was so popular among her male fanbase. Not to mention, Shining's rule of no one dating.

"Raging Entertainment is completely different than Shining Agency, Haruka." Y/N sighed, almost seeming a bit awkward about the sudden subject of dating. "And, as far as I'm aware of, with the new joining of Shining-Rage, dating among the idols will be allowed. Like it used to before." She explained, once more shocking the orangette.

Haruka had always thought that there was a reasoning behind the rule, that there was something big and drastic at stake, like an idol's career, so she never really questioned it. Especially since she didn't have any romantic interests in her almost six years of working in the agency. Now it seemed, according to Y/N, that there was a time that people dated before? It made her immediately wonder what had happened to cause the rule to emerge.

"Alright! Enough about that stuff, we have songs to write! Do you have any ideas yet?" Y/N questioned, clapping her hands together and smiling at the other female.

"Oh, right! I was actually thinking of a couple of notes while looking at the different instruments that are in this room." Haruka immediately scrambled to grab some of the music sheets she had already begun in her wait on Y/N that morning, as well as a few she had done the night before. Of course she had immediately found the music room soon after the incident with Syo, and unlike the other rooms, it was quite cozy and small. It had a brown odd texture on the wall that looked like chocolate bars, and on two of the four walls hung many different string and wind instruments, some of which Haruka didn't even know existed. On the left side of the room was a drum set, and on the right side of the room, near the window, was the grand piano that the two females were sitting on.

"These look good." Y/N smiled. "Let's start with this one, since it's almost finished." She stated, holding up the song sheet that had Tokiya scribbled on the top of it.

Haruka nodded her head in agreement, attempting to hide the fact that she noticed the way that the female flinched at the simple glance of the name. She smiled sadly and tilted her head to a degree as she humbly stared at the (F/C). "Y/N...Have we met before?" She questioned, curiously.

Said female glanced up from the paper, hiding the longing look in her eyes with that familiar soft smile. "Of course we have."

___Quick Time Skip___

"Speak of the devil and he shall appear." Y/N spoke in a cool tone as she closed the door to the music room behind herself. Dubbing that the two females needed a break, Y/N offered to grab the two something to snack on as well as something to do while they relaxed before continuing with the song that they were working on for whom was left of METEORITE and Tokiya. As per usual, though, Haruka was insistent on continuing on finishing the song before the end of the day, that way Y/N wouldn't have to suffer too long. Or, that was how she had put it. "Is there something you need?" Shaking off the thoughts of the hard working girl, Y/N stared at the bluenette male as he stared at her with an unreadable expression.

"You're looking well." He commented after a couple of long, awkward, quiet minutes of staring at one another.

"Listen, I'd love to make small talk, but there's obviously more important things to do." Y/N huffed, beginning to walk away, only to pause mid-step as she felt a grip on her arm. "Ichinose, I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't touch me." She calmly stated, though a cold tone seeped through her words as she quickly snatched her hand and she took a step away as she glared at the male.

"Whatever happened to calling people you work with by their first name?" Tokiya questioned, taking a step away from the female as to give them both some space from one another.

"How long have you been standing out here, Ichinose?" As if not hearing his comment, the female huffed and rubbed at her nose in annoyment. Though it was obvious she felt caught by the small pink on her cheeks.

"I didn't mean to pry, or anything. I meant to speak with Nanami, but you were both talking and I didn't want to interrupt." Tokiya attempted to explain himself, but it only seemed to make the female close off more. "I didn't know you were dating again." He offered afterwards.

Y/N laughed bitterly and shook her head. "She's in there, you know, not out here. If you want to talk to Haruka, then you can. But, until I'm used to...whatever is going on right now, stay away from me, and make sure that the others know to stay away from Kazue. He's the only good thing left that I have in this crappy world, and I don't need any of you messing that up for me, too." She told him, before turning on her heel and stalking off towards the elevator to go to the kitchen to grab something to eat.

-Three Days Later-

"We really need to get a mini fridge in here or something." Y/N joked as she and Haruka sat on the fluffy, white circular rug in the middle of the music room. "And a coffee machine."

"It would make our breaks shorter if that were to happen though." Haruka laughed along, accepting the glass of wine that the twenty-three year old offered to her.

"Mm...That's true." Y/N nodded her head in agreement as she hummed softly. She then smiled and held up her own glass. "In celebration to our finishing of the first song. May it be a success, and all songs afterwards." She stated.

"Here, here." Haruka happily agreed, lifting her own glass as the two clanked it together and took a sip of the bitter-sweet purple liquid.

"Now that's left is for the others to create the instrumental, and for Ichinose and I to create the lyrics, then we'll be ready to record the song. One song down, eighteen more to go." Y/N chuckled, swishing her glass enough to make the wine move, but not to let it spill.

"Are you sure you want to do that many individual songs and a song for the opening ceremony? Won't it be too much for you?" Haruka once more asked that troublesome question as she stared at Y/N cautiously.

Y/N paused in her actions, her expression becoming serious. "If it will benefit the company and METEORITES, as well as make our fans happy, then I will do it." She stated. "Do not get me wrong, Haruka," Y/N continued as she saw Haruka's saddened gaze. "I do not hate Quartet Night, nor STARISH, for what they had done to me. Or, seeing as what Syo had done just recently, will do to me. I believe in second chances, Haruka, and I believe in giving one to them as well. It's just that...after what they had done...It will be difficult for any of us to get used to what had happened between us." She stated.

Haruka couldn't help but to nod in understandment. She had never dated anyone before, and she certainly didn't go through what Y/N had gone through, but she had been done wrong before. And even though she hides her woes behind her innocent persona, she knows how hard it is to continue through life, especially when those who have caused those hardships are around.

"It's alright, Y/N." Haruka then spoke, after taking another sip of the wine in her glass. "I will agree with whatever you think is best."

-1 week later-

Y/N was kneeling in the grass of the garden on the side of the SILQ, a smile gracing her features as she held a red rubber ball in her hand and tossed it. The sound of her dog's little feet was the only noise in the garden, besides the twittering of birds in the trees and the flowing of water from the fountain in the middle of the area. It was, to put it simply, relaxing.

"Do you mind if I join you?" Or, it was.

There was a moment of silence, as Y/N weighed the slightly slobbery ball in her hand, before she tossed it once more. "That's fine." She finally stated, causing Tokiya to release a breath he didn't know that he was holding.

Tokiya sat beside her, though kept a comfortable distance between them both. "I heard the music, it's really good. You and Nanami did a great job, and your band is quite talented." He complimented.

"Yes, I'm well aware of that. There is a reason our songs have been on the Top Ten list for the past five years." Y/N responded.

As if not hearing her, Tokiya managed to continue. "Nanami told me that all that needs to be done is our lyrics." It was quiet once more, as the two awkwardly sat there, since Y/N's dog had put it's attention now on the male rather than the ball. "When were you going to come to me for that?" He asked, patting the cream colored chihuahua.

Y/N sighed and ran her fingers through her hair, which was all brushed to one side, giving her a half-shaven head affect. Like the first day, she wore a black tank top, though this time with a black choker, neon rainbow jeans, and black sneakers. "I don't know, probably some time tomorrow if I could help it." She stated.

"I wish you'd take this a little more seriously." Tokiya sighed, closing his eyes as if he were gaining a headache.

"Seriously." Y/N snorted through her nose. "Like you did when you chose their side over ours?" She questioned, looking at him with false amusement.

"That's unfair, Y/N." Tokiya immediately argued. "You know how important those guys are to me. I couldn't choose two little girls, who were nothings to our world, over those who meant the world to me." He stated.

"You're as arrogant as ever, Tokiya!" Y/N shouted, quickly standing up as she threw her arms into the air. This causing her dog to bolt out of Tokiya's lap and towards the secret doggy door into the SILQ.

"Me?! How about you!?" Tokiya eagerly responded, standing up as well and causing Y/N to glare up at him as she now reached to just below his chest.

"You think that everything you do is justified, when it really isn't!" The female stated. "You think that you can do nothing wrong, as if you're some sort of invincible super star. Well, I have news for you, buddy." She sneered, jabbing her finger into his chest. "I'm tired of us acting all nice together. We were never close before, and we never will be. I'm here simply for our fans and to make up for what I have done to Uncle Saotome and Him. So, let's get this crap done with so that we don't have to pretend to stand each other." With those final words, she turned on her heel and marched to the SILQ, leaving the dark blue haired male to stare after her with a look of anguish.

[Erase by Hyolyn and Jooyoung

Y/N, Tokiya, Both]

(Hello) You changed a lot, your shorter hair
(Hello) Your thick makeup, you're like someone else
(Hello) I know that I mean nothing
To you now, I feel it

Tokiya leaned his back against the railing of his bedroom balcony, a floor above Y/N's own, as he stared down at the cellphone that glowed in his hands.

Meanwhile, Y/N leaned her arms against the railing of her bedroom balcony, staring down at the garden with a distant gaze, as if she were zoning out and thinking about something.

You'll forget me, whatever, I'll just meet another girl
I'll just meaninglessly meet another guy, it'll be typical
Don't look back so I can't hold onto you, no way yeah

Tokiya closed his head and leaned his head back, an image of Haruka appearing in his vision. While Y/N forced a smile and placed one of her hands over one of the ones that had wrapped around her middle, and she glanced up at Kazue's face.

I'm not that great of a person
Don't think too hard, no
Don't pretend to be nice
We always had that kind of love, don't say yeah

As the two reached their hands out to touch the faces of their illusions, both Haruka and Kazue immediately changed to that of Y/N and Tokiya for the other, causing them to quickly look away with pained expressions, until the illusions dispersed into a shroud of sparkles.

I'll erase my love for you (erase) you
I'll erase your number (erase) secretly
We can't ever be, no no, That's how we always were, yeah

Tokiya held up his phone, as if looking for signal, though the faint smile on his lips showed that he was actually fondly looking at a video.

(Good bye) I'm sick of the same words every time, babe
(Good bye) We got more and more careless
(Good bye) I know that I mean nothing
To you now, I feel it

The video was something that Haruka had taken during one of their performances when they were still a part of the Master Course. The orangette looked as if she had been interviewing the members of Quartet Night, as well as a few stage hands, and finally the camera was placed onto the view of a girl who's plain (H/C) hair color hung in her face, as if hiding the shy female.

"L/N-chan! Anything that you wanna say to the guys?" Haruka's sudden voice seemed to scare the girl, as she jumped and dropped the papers that she had been holding.

"Oh, um..." Shyly looking into the camera lens, the girl tilted her head to the side. "Good luck, STARISH! I know that you can do it!" She then managed to give a cute, closed-eyed smile just as the video ended, leaving Tokiya to stare at the image on his phone screen.

You know that I've always been this kind of guy
I pretended to be innocent but I was always dirty
We're not even gonna get married, what love?
You're just a toy that was in last season
I drink all night and party with another girl
Then in the morning, I throw it up, your photos and memories
I'll be wasted away like this
You will fall in love with another guy

Tokiya sighed as he turned and chucked his phone over the railing, only seeming to grasp what he had done afterwards. With widened eyes, he immediately rushed to the door to his bedroom so that he could find his phone, which was hopefully not cracked.

When seeing an object suddenly fly over her and into the garden below, Y/N blinked, before she moved towards her own door so that she could see what had fallen.

I'm not that great of a person
Don't think too hard, no
Don't pretend to be nice
We always had that kind of love, don't say yeah

When the elevator opened, Y/N took a small step backwards as she saw Tokiya was inside of it, before she sighed and walked in, both feeling a bit awkward as they waited for the elevator to get to the bottom floor.

I'll erase my love for you (erase) you
I'll erase your number (erase) secretly
We can't ever be, no no, That's how we always were

As the two walked into the garden, they both searched for Tokiya's phone, not exactly knowing that that was what they were both doing.

(Bye bye) I secretly walked behind you
As your turned back grew darker
The farther you got,
I thought of you more

Without even knowing, why, I keep missing you, bye

Finding the object in a bush, Y/N picked up the phone and parted her lips out of surprise. Even with the single scratch on the screen, she could see the old image of herself from five years before. She then winced as the phone was suddenly taken from her grasp and she glanced up at Tokiya.

I'll erase my love for you (erase) you
I'll erase your number (erase) secretly
We can't ever be, no no, That's how we always were, yeah

With a wry smile, Tokiya erased the video and slipped his phone into his back pocket. Nodding half-heartedly to the female, he turned on his heel and returned to the building. This time leaving Y/N to watch his retreat with a saddened expression.

As Haruka listened to the final recording, she frowned. How could she possibly make it so that the past stays the past? Then, the idea hit her.
