I Care About You-Ladynoir

A/N: This is in the afternoon. Some language.

Gabriel Agreste had gone too far.

"It's your fault your mother left, Adrien. Leave. Get out of my sight."

"But...B-But...."

"See. Emotional. Too emotional. You drove her away, Adrien. It's all your fault."

Adrien ran. He ran from his father. He ran from his house. No-not his house. His father's house. He ran and ran and ran. He ended up at Marinette's balcony.

"Adrien..." Plagg murmured.

"Are...are you okay?"

Adrien tried to brush away his tears. It didn't work.

"Plagg...Claws Out." Adrien whispered.

Plagg made no objection. He knew Adrien needed to be left alone.

A flash, and Chat Noir appeared.

Chat curled up into a ball.

And he sobbed.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Marinette was walking home from school. She was nearing her house when she spotted Chat Noir at her balcony. Thinking there was an akuma attack, she quickly transformed.

"Chat!" she called. She was about to yo-yo her way to him when his head snapped up and stared straight at her.

Ladybug stopped. She saw Chat's face.

He looked heartbroken.

Ladybug could safely say that in all the time she had known Chat Noir, her friend, her partner, and maybe crush, she had never seen him cry.

But there he was, on Marinette's roof, with red puffy eyes and tears trailing down his cheeks.

Then he did something even more surprising.

Chat Noir frowned at Ladybug.

Then he fled.

Chat never missed an opportunity to see his lady. He literally lived for those moments. So why was he running away? And why had he frowned at her?

"Marinette..." Tikki whispered in her head.

"Maybe it's best if we leave Chat Noir alone for a while."

Ladybug frowned.

"But...Chat looks like he needs help." Ladybug answered Tikki in her head.

"I don't think Chat wants to talk to anyone right now. He probably needs some alone time. We'll see him at night patrol, remember?" Tikki replied.

"You're right, Tikki. Chat did go away when he saw me. I'll talk to him at patrol."

Marinette detransformed and walked the remaining distance home.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ladybug yo-yoed around Paris. She had already checked her half of her beautiful city. But Ladybug had more important matters.

She was looking Chat Noir.

She found him on the roof of the Agreste Mansion. And what she saw made her heart shatter.

Chat Noir was staring out at Paris, face blank, eyes staring into nothing.

Because he was dead.

A/N: Lol! I couldn't resist! Don't worry, Ignore that last sentence.

Just....staring.

"Chat?" Ladybug murmured softly.

Chat's ear twitched. He didn't move.

"Chat?" Ladybug spoke a bit louder.

Chat looked at her.

"Is.... is everything...okay?"

Chat blinked.

And he started laughing.

It wasn't a nice laugh. Laughs are supposed to be filled with happiness, joy, friendship, love.

Chat's laugh represented despair, agony, sadness, guilt.

"Yes Ladybug." Chat said dryly. His voice sounded crackly and raw from crying.

"It's obvious that I'm perfectly fine."

"Chat..." Ladybug whispered. Her heart was breaking for her poor kitty.

"Whatever it is, you can tell me."

"Really? Can I tell you, Ladybug?  Why should I tell you?" Chat hissed.

And Ladybug knew something really was wrong. Because Chat had called her Ladybug. Not LB, not lovebug, not Bugaboo, not m'lady. He had called her Ladybug.

Chat knew that he shouldn't be acting like this. His lady was only trying to help. But couldn't she see that he didn't want compassion? Besides, nobody cared about him. Why should Ladybug?

"You should tell me Chat...because I'm your friend. And I care about you." Ladybug spoke forcefully.

"You're lying." Chat said hollowly.

Ladybug could feel her anger rising. But before she could say anything, Chat spoke again.

"You're lying, because no-one cares about me."

"Oh Chat....people care about you. Your family cares about you."

"NO. People don't like me for me. They only like me because I'm famous. Because I'm a stupid freaking rich handsome model." Chat spat out.

Ladybug wanted him to stop talking. He would reveal his identity to her! But Chat was on a roll. He was spewing out emotions that were kept up inside of him for years.

"And my family? Caring? Please. I don't even have a family. My mother disappeared when I was little. My father is cold and distant. The last time my father had a normal conversation with me was three years ago. He acts more like I'm his employee rather than his son. He makes me model for his designs, not even caring that I'm a teenage boy who would like some time to himself for once instead of being driven around to photoshoots all day.He doesn't even care about my feelings! You want to know why I'm here bawling my eyes out Ladybug? Huh? Well guess what? It's all his fault. So don't give me that bulls**t about people caring about me. Cause no one gives a crap about me or my feelings."

By the time Chat was finished, he was sobbing so hard it felt as if he had no water left in his body.

"Chat...." Ladybug whispered. What her partner had just told her really showed how little she actually knew about her partner. Not to mention he had given pretty big clues about who he was. But Ladybug wasn't worrying about that right now. She was worrying about her kitty.

"I...I can't say I know what you're feeling right now. But I do know that people do care about you, OK? Cause I know I care about you. And it's alright to cry. Once you've calmed down, maybe you can tell me what exactly happened to set you off, OK? Cause I know that you'll fell better once you've let everything out."

Chat slowly calmed down. Ladybug looked at him seriously.

"It's Ok, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to, I mean, I just thought it would be better and, oh gosh, I'm rambling right now aren't I?"

Chat chuckled softly.

"It's...it's OK, Ladybug. I...I want to tell you."

Ladybug smiled at him encouragingly. Chat took a deep breath.

"Me...me and my father got into an argument. He...he got so mad at me he told me....he told me..."

Ladybug squeezed Chat's hand. A ghost of a smile appeared and disappeared.

"He told me it was my fault my mother left."

Ladybug gasped. Chat wasn't done yet.

"And sometimes....sometimes I think maybe it was my fault. Maybe I got too much to handle or...or I-"

"Chat." Ladybug spoke forcefully.

"Don't you dare ever  say anything like that again. It wasn't your fault your mother left. Do you hear me?  It wasn't your fault. And if anyone says that to you again, father or not, I swear that I will shove my yo-yo up their a**. Ok?" Ladybug practically screamed at him.

Chat turned to look at her.

And he smiled.

A real, genuine smile.

And that smile said more than words ever could.

It said thank you.

And Ladybug didn't know if it was because this boy was staring at her with the most adorable expression on his face, or because she still had a lot of adrenaline left from screaming at him, but wither way, it didn't change what she did.

She kissed him.

On the lips.

And before he could say anything, she grinned and yo-yoed away, shouting,

"Bye, Chaton!"

His expression was worth it.

A/N: Wow! That was different to what I intended it to be. I was going to mek Adrien akumatised but I like this one better. Maybe I'll do that later.
