Previously in Little O'Connor...

"I should get to bed..." Sarah says getting up as Carter follows her to the door of her room. "Those tapes...We can watch the rest together starting tomorrow...I never really got to the rest other than the first." Carter looks at her hesitantly. "Are you sure?" She nods at him. "Yeah." She opens her room door before turning to him.

"Thank you so much Carter...for everything you did today." She says slowly getting on her tippy toes and kissing his cheek. Carter closes his eyes at the lingering feeling and smiles a little before going to his room hiding his excitement. 

P.S. This chapter will be long due to it being a history of Sarah and Dimitri's relationship to help the readers better understand Sarah's pain over Dimitri. Don't worry Next chapter will have a little more action and more of the street race world.

The next morning Carter is awoken by the smell of sweet pancakes and fresh coffee. He yawns stretching and taking in the delightful smell closing his eyes. "Wake up pretty boy...I made you breakfast." Sarah says looking at him with a tray in hand. He checks her out biting his lip as she sets the tray down on the bed. She's wearing boy shorts and a crop top. Her hair was still wet from her morning shower. "That is a beautiful sight to see as soon as I wake up." He smirks. Sarah looks at him raising a brow. "What me looking like a homeless gal?" she laughs as he goes to the bathroom to quickly shower and wash his face. 

Sarah puts the box of tapes on the bed hesitantly, staring at them. Carter soon comes out and looks at her as her hand shakes taking the 4th tape out. He grabs her wrist and takes the tape. "We don't have to do this if you don't want to." He looks into her eyes. She shakes her head. "No, I want to." Carter nods heading over to the television to start the tape. Sarah sits on his bed nervously taking a bite of her pancakes. Carter scoots closer to her as he sits down and grabs his plate before playing the video. 

"Day 30." Dimitri's voice comes through as the video starts. "This has to work...I hope it works. Sarah O'Connor has become the one thing on my mind. I think about her day and night." he sighs setting the camera down, facing it toward a little house where Sarah once lived in with the Torettos. He takes out a guitar. "I usually don't do this for anyone. It's more of a private hobby." He says anxiously looking at the camera." He starts to strum the guitar strings and tapping his foot looking towards the house to see if Sarah will come out. he starts to sing a course. "You...you never leave my mind." He starts to sing. 

Carter looks over at Sarah who has a small smile etched on her face as if she's remembering the moment.

Carter's POV

"You make me crazy, about you." Dimitri sings playing a very romantic melody. "I just need you in my arms, next to me...forever." Young Sarah is seen opening the door, shock etched on her face as she walks out towards the lawn still standing a good distance away from Dimitri. There was a pang of jealousy I felt against his amazing voice. "You intoxicate me, the way you look at me, I can't seem to move on from you." Young Sarah smiles a little at the scene in front of her. "I need you to give me a chance. Just one chance...because you never leave my mind." He strums the last few notes looking at Sarah taking a deep breath. 

Sarah takes a few moments before she slowly starts walking up to him. "You wrote it?" Dimitri nods placing his guitar down. "Only for you..." He says nervously as Sarah looks into his eyes. "Who knew the Big bad wolf of street racing wrote romantic songs." She says quietly smiling. Blush is apparent on her face. Dimitri looks at her intently waiting for her answer. Sarah takes a step closer before standing on her tiptoes and kissing his cheek slowly. "It was beautiful. No one has ever done that for me." Dimitri blushes touching his cheek. 

"Dimitri Salazar...I, Sarah O'Connor, will allow you to take me on a date." Dimitri's face lights up and in excitement, he picks Sarah up spinning sound with her. She squeals a little laughing. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!" 

I chuckle as I keep watching. 

"On one condition!" Both Dimitri and Sarah turn to the source of the voice. Brian walks up into the frame. "You will keep your paws to yourself. You will bring her home on time and you will let me know where you are at all times." Dimitri opens his mouth to say something. "I'm not done...last but not least, if you hurt her in any way, you will not only deal with me kicking your fucking ass, but you will face her wrath as well. Is that understood!" Dimitri flinches. "Ye...yes sir." Sarah giggles. "Bri. I will be fine." Brian nods. "Then I give you permission Dimitri." He sighs in relief shaking Brian's hand. As soon as Brian goes back inside, Dimitri quickly plants a kiss on Sarah's cheek. "So me and you, tomorrow 7 pm, local diner." Sarah chuckles nodding. "It's a date." He smiles walking back up to the camera and whispers into it as he's walking away. "I did it! I scored a date with the most sexy girl I have ever laid my eyes on. Let's see where this road takes us." He says before ending the tape. 

I look over at Sarah who has a small smile on her face. "That's where it all started..." She sniffles a little. "He would sing me that song whenever he got the chance." She says looking at me. I subconsciously bring my hand up to wipe away a stray tear. "He seemed like an amazing guy." I whisper slowly getting up to put in the 5th tape labeled first date. "You ready for the next one?" I ask with concern. Sarah nods smiling at me to reassure me. I quickly put the next tape in and rush back to the bed removing the empty tray on the side table and plopping down. 

The tape starts to play and we are immediately met with Dimitri this time in the car. "Today is the day. My official first date with Sarah." Dimitri sighs in contentment. "Here she comes. Damn, she looks gorgeous." He quickly gets out of the car to open the passenger door for her. Before he can open it Brian slams it shut and you can see him talking to Dimitri inaudibly, clearly threatening him if anything happens to his little sister. Dimitri is seen nodding and opens the door for Sarah once again. Sarah laughs as he gets into the car. "I'm sorry about Brian. He super protective of me." Dimitri nods sighing in relief as soon he starts driving away from Brian's death stare. "That's a good thing!" He says smiling. "It's best to protect something so precious." He says smirking. Sarah rolls her eyes. "Okay, I did not know you were this cheesy." She looks at him teasing him by poking his arm.

The video cuts off to them being in the diner after ordering their food. Sarah looks at the camera. "Are you gonna record me all the time?" She asks pouting slightly confused. "Yes, because one day I wanna be able to look back at these memories and relive them." Sarah smiles a little. "Especially if those memories are of us." Sarah blushes a little trying to hold it back. "How do you know there will be a second date." she smirks slyly looking at him. Dimitri tenses as his eyes widen. "I..uh.." He struggles as he drinks his soda. "I'm joking Dimitri." Sarah laughs. Dimitri smiles nervously. "So, how did you get into street racing?" Sarah asks him taking a bite of her sandwich. "Holy shit, this is good." She groans. Dimitri chuckles. "Well, I was never close to my family. They hated the idea of my love for cars and racing...so I rebelled and started to street race at 14 years old believe it or not." Sarah looks at him holding the sandwich up to his mouth. "Bite." Dimitri smirks taking a bite. "I like a girl who demands." Sarah smiles waiting for his answer. "Damn...that is good!" Dimitri says as he stabs a piece of steak with his fork and brings it up for her to try. She immediately opens her mouth welcoming the steak in her mouth. "14 is super young...how did they let you race?" Sarah asks. 

I look over at Sarah to make sure she's okay, but she's engrossed watching the tape. I smile rubbing her back and move my attention back to the TV.

"Well, I looked older than 14 at the time." Sarah smirks. "So you cheated your way in. I like that." Dimitri chuckles stealing her fry. "What about you and your brother?" Dimitri asks her. "Well, we both always loved cars. Despite Bri being a former Fed...he gave into street racing when he was undercover one day. and I started off racing Brian." Sarah talks about her passion for racing with her eyes lit up with excitement. Dimitri looks at her admiring her enthusiasm. "You're pretty good O'Connor, you think you can beat me?" Sarah smirks at him. "Is that a challenge Wolf?" Dimitri bites his lip at her little nickname for him. "You bet it is...and keep calling me that." he licks his lip satisfied with how the name falls off her lips. "What...wolf?" Sarah smiles oblivious to the way his desires are surfacing as she takes the last bite of her sandwich. "Oh my...you haven't met the wolf yet Sare." Her eyes widened a little as she choked a little quickly drinking some water. "Dimitri...you sly dog." she says throwing a fry at him only for him to catch it in his mouth. 

"You ready to go? There's one more stop I wanted to make before we end our date." Dimitri says offering her his hand. "Where? I should call Brian and let him know so he doesn't kill you." Sarah says jokingly. "It's a surprise." Dimitri says taking her hand and grabbing the camera.

The scene cuts to them in the car. "Okay, we're here." Sarah gasps stepping out of the car as a bunch of fireworks are set off. "Woah! I don't think that's permitted around this year." Dimitri chuckles setting the camera down behind them before sitting next to her. "That's the best part...you never know when you'll get caught." Sarah pushes his arm before placing her head on his shoulder. "You're really not a fuckboy huh?" she asks. "Not when it comes to you." Dimitri says keeping his gaze on her as she watches the fireworks in awe. Sarah looks at him. "Why me?" Dimitri looks at her moving his face closer. "Cause you're the one who stole my damn heart O'Connor." He whispers. Sarah smiles shyly moving closer before softly placing her lips on his to kiss him. Dimitri immediately placed his hand on the back of her neck pulling her closer and holding her in place as they kissed. after what feels like a few minutes, they break apart catching their breath. "Fuck, that was hot." Dimitri mumbles. Sarah laughs fixing his hair. "We should get going. Brian will call me soon if we don't." she says getting up and holding her her hand out for Dimitri. With that, the clip ends.

Sarah sighs smiling a little to herself. "I remember that like it was yesterday. Right when we got in the car, cops showed up looking for the culprits behind the unauthorized fireworks." She laughs looking at me. I smile hearing her laugh. "These memories are important." I say taking the tape out. Sarah nods sighing. "Always will be." I look at the time. "You wanna watch more?" She nods. "We don't have anything else to do, so why not?" She says giving me the next tape. "It actually makes me feel a little better watching it with someone." I put in the next tape and sit next to her. "I think this is the one where I raced Dimitri." She chuckles in amusement.

"Yo what up, it's James here." Instead of the video opening up to Dimitri, it ended up being James in the frame. 

"Wait, is that the James that is after you?" I ask in disbelief. Sarah nods groaning. "Yeah, he was scrawny back then." I nod turning my attention back to the video.

"So Dimitri challenged Sarah to race a few months back." he points the camera toward the street where Sarah is standing against her car and talking to Dimitri. "So, I'll be the one recording. My bet is on O'Connor. Girls got her ways." He says walking towards them as they get in their cars. "Hey, Sarah...if it doesn't work out with Salazar...you know where to find me beautiful." He keeps the camera on her. "Say that again and I will run you over at the finish line." She says looking at him directly in the eye. He moves back and goes to the sidelines to record the race. The girl starts to gesture at them at the starting point. Sarah looks over at Dimitri blowing him a kiss before taking off at high speed. Dimitri follows behind closely. 

I sit up in anticipation to see who's winning. Sarah chuckles looking at me. "Just wait and see." She smirks.

Sarah is in the lead most of the way until Dimitri uses his Nos. "NOOO! Come on Sarah!" You can hear Brian cheering for his sister. Dimitri gets close to the finish line when Sarah decides to use her Nos and get past him. James runs with the camera to the supposed finish line where Sarah drifts to a stop after passing it. Immediately there's a whole crowd surrounding her car as she steps out with a victorious smirk. Dimitri steps out of his car in complete shock as to what happened. James walks up to him. "How does it feel to be beaten by a girl." James says laughing. Dimitri is staring at Sarah as she hoisted on Brian and Dom's shoulders. "To be honest...really really turned on." Dimitri says smirking at the camera. Dimitri walks up to Sarah as she's being put down in front of him. "I'm impressed O'Connor." He says smiling at her. "Mhmm. I bet you are." Dimitri pulls her towards him and kisses her hard and passionately. "Ew...break it up you two." James says mumbling with a tinge of jealousy in his voice. You can see Brian behind Sarah glaring at Dimitri. Dimitri pulls away whispering something to Sarah that you can't hear in the video. Sarah's eyes widen and she turns red, biting her lip at whatever he's said to her. 

I look at Sarah who doesn't dare to look at me. Her cheeks were red. "What'd he say to you?" I tease her. She clears her throat. "Nothing...appropriate." she breathes out chuckling keeping her attention on the screen and refusing to look at me. I smirk slightly as I go back to watching the video.

James keeps the camera on them the entire time. Sarah lets out a breath pushing his chest a little before Dimitri leans down again to whisper in her ear. "Dimitri!" she gasps slapping his arm. "What...I'm just letting you know how IMPRESSED I am." He kisses her cheek smoothly taking the camera from James. "Well, there you have it. My girlfriend is better than me at street racing." Sarah looks at him. "You were close babe." He chuckles turning the camera off. 

I look over at Sarah. "Huh? So you're not going to tell me what he said." She pushes me slightly. "No!" I laugh as she turns red blushing again. "I won't pry...for now." I poke her red face. "Wanna watch one more?" She nods. "Let's do the last one. he made it like a movie." She says whispering. "I haven't had the guts to watch it yet." she says giving me the disc. I immediately put it in and sit back playing it. 

"So it's been approximately 6 years and 120 days since I and the love of my life met and started dating." Dimitri starts the video off. "Today, I love her more than anything in the world and I'm here to ask her brother for blessing before I pop the most important question." He sighs taking a deep breath and knocking on Brian's door. Mia opens the door for him. "Dimitri! Come in!" She smiles and waves at the camera. "Brian!!! Dimitri is here!!" She calls for him. "Can I get you anything to drink?" she asks as he sits down placing the camera down. "Just water." He nervously rubs his hands on his jeans. "Dimitri Salazar not asking for a beer? Are you okay?" Brian says walking into the living room as Mia hands him the water. "Actually I came here to talk to you about something." Dimitri smiles. Brian nods opening a beer. "You didn't get my sister pregnant did you?" Brian teases him making him laugh nervously. "I wanted to ask you..." He starts off as he places the small black velvet box in front of Brian. "For your blessings." Brian puts his beer down and opens the box to take a look at the ring. "Why do you think I'll say yes?" Brian looks at him with a serious face as Mia sits next to him. "Because... I love her more than you know. You know I do." Dimitri answers confidently. "Throughout the years we have become close Dimitri. I can't deny that. You're like family..." He trails off staring Dimitri dead in the eyes as if he's searching for something. 

"You have my blessing." Brian smiles standing up. Dimitri immediately stands up and hugs him. "Thank you. I promise to always protect her and cherish her." He smiles widely as Mia hugs him as well. "We know you will." She smiles. "Now go get her." 

The video cuts to Dimitri taking Sarah out to a picnic. Her hair was still blonde at this point and I looked over at her. "Are you naturally blonde?" Sarah nods slightly. "I had to dye my hair...Dante...took an interest in me, an evil interest. and in order to protect myself I changed my hair color so he wouldn't think it's me off the bat." I nod and turn my attention back to the video.

Dimitri lays out a picnic blanket and sits next to Sarah opening the basket. "I'm so happy we made time for a date, especially with the whole Cipher situation." Sarah says smiling at Dimitri. "Me too baby." He plants a kiss on her forehead setting all the food out. "This looks so good!" Sarah says taking a bite of her sandwich and looking at him. "Dude...I can't get enough of your sandwiches." She says taking another bite. Dimitri pours wine for her. "Wine?" She swishes the glass around before tasting it. "This is a very special date huh?" she chuckles. "Every day with you is special." Dimitri whispers kissing her jaw slightly and nuzzling his nose against his neck. "Wolf, are you in the mood to play?" She giggles. "Your beard is tickling me." She laughs as he pulls away. "I wanna chase you." He says chuckling as she places the glass down as he tickles her. "Dimitri! I will punch you!" She yells getting away from his grip.

He runs after her laughing with the camera in his hand. She twirls around jumping barefoot wearing a beautiful emerald flowy dress. Dimitri laughs as he chases after her. She falls to her knees laughing and trying to catch her breath. Dimitri takes the opportunity to put the camera down angled at them and gets on his knee behind her, taking out the box. "Wolf...did you give up that easily?" Sarah says standing up before turning around. She looks at Dimitri with wide eyes. "I will never stop chasing you." Dimitri says looking up at her. "Ever since the first day I laid my eyes on you. Fuck when you walked into that street race...I knew you had to be mine. I didn't want anyone else." He pauses. "You, you swooped in like a hawk and snatched my heart." Sarah looks at him as tears run down her face. "I wanna be yours forever. I need you every day, I need to wake up next to you. I wanna hold you, feel you, cherish you. I wanna make love to you till the day I die. I wanna have kids with you, I wanna grow old together. I can't imagine a life without you. I wanna be the one that makes you happy, the one to wipe your tears, I wanna protect you like you're a precious jewel." Sarah gets down to his level and holds his face in her hand. "Will you marry me?" She wipes his face of tears he didn't know fell. "Yes...my answer will always be yes." With that, he places the ring on her finger and picks her up twirling her around. "Fuck, Fuck I can't believe it!" He laughs putting her down and running to the top of the hill dragging her with him. "WE'RE GONNA GET MARRIED!!!!" He yells out at the top of his lungs to let everyone around them know. Sarah laughs kissing him lovingly. 

The scene cuts to what looks like their bedroom, the one I found everything in. Dimitri points the camera toward them. They were under the sheets Sarah holding on to him, cuddling close. "I am the luckiest man in the world...Cipher will not take that from me." He says kissing her head. Sarah sighs looking at him. "Cipher can go screw herself." She mumbles. "I will always protect you." Dimitri says looking at her. "Even if it means I have to die." He mumbles. Sarah sits up holding the sheets to her chest. "Don't say that!" She smacks him with worry in her hands. "Don't fucking say that." Dimitri chuckles. "It's true my love...I would do anything to keep you safe. and I know you would do the same for me." Sarah nods. "Damn right, I will!" She jumps on him. With that, the tape ends.

Sarah stares at the blank screen letting tears drop freely. "That's our story...a tragic one. It was a day after this video Cipher snatched him." she whispers taking a deep breath. "And now you know." She says getting up and grabbing the box of tapes. "I'm glad I watched this with you." She smiles at me solemnly. I grab the box from her hand and place it down before grabbing her wrist and pulling her close to me. "I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry for everything I did to you when you had no memory, I'm sorry I treated women like shit, I'm sorry I almost..." She stops me. "Carter...it's okay. Your friends Liam and Jesse explained everything to me. You didn't go that far, and I understand why you sought control." she mumbles hugging me as I keep a tight hold on her before finally letting her go. "I'm gonna go take a bath and then prep dinner." she smiles slightly taking the box of tapes with her. "Now you know the story about Dimitri and I." She says closing the door behind her as I stand there taking in all the information I just watched.
