Choreography 5: A Thief in Disguise
-Shikō Academy-Library #3/Student Council Room-4 Days Later-
The large room was eerily quiet, or at least quieter than usual.
Y/N and Rem, who often bickered even after Y/N officially gained the title as the leader, were on opposite sides of the room: Rem sitting at the small desk in Y/N's spinney chair playing chess by himself, and Y/N lying on Mage's couch, her head propped up on Shi's lap and her legs on Mage's. Mage was reading a magazine, Shi was texting Ritsuka, and Y/N was reading a novel she found among the many in the library, humming a soft tune.Urie and Shiki were sitting at the long meeting table, the fallen angel tending to an indoor thorn bush, and the flirtatious demon was watching the others for some sort of possible amusement.
The only person missing from the room was, of course, Ritsuka. She had to stay after class to help clean.
"Umph!" The abrupt noise caught the attention of the others, who glanced at Y/N in confusion.
Said female was glaring at the creature that was on her chest. Tail wagging, it yipped happily. Y/N scoffed and sat up, holding the chihuahua by its scruff.
"What're you doing here?" She asked sternly.
Everyone's attention was then brought to the double doors that were opened.
"Ritsuka, you came just in time, I found a rat." Y/N said in her cheerful tone as she stood and showed off the small dog, which continued to look clueless as its tail wagged so quickly it was hard to see it.
"Huh?" The brunette blinked in surprise.
"The jig is up, Cerberus, turn back now." Y/N ordered, voice dark in which Shi would describe as her Alpha tone.
In a shadowy mist, the dog was replaced by a male with navy blue hair and the school uniform, which Y/N had a hold of the collar.
"Roen?!" The others asked in surprise.
"Miss L/N, I'd appreciate it if you'd let me go." The male stated, sighing as Y/N scoffed, letting go of him and walking to her desk that Rem was still sitting at.
"What're you doing here?" Shi glared at Roen in distaste.
"The same reason that the rest of you are here." Roen responded simply, dusting off invisible dust from his shoulders.
"The Heavens Keys." Y/N sighed, arms crossed as she leaned against the desk. She closed her eyes as a smirk covered her lips. "I don't see why you were sent. You failed at recovering the Grimoire for your boss after all." She stated in a carefree tone.
Roen narrowed his eyes at the werewolf female. "I've come to make up for that loss." He said, tone the same as his know-it-all self.
"Too bad you won't get them!" Mage shouted.
"Of course I know that." Roen shrugged. "Or, at least that you won't give any of them to me willingly. I'll just have to take them by force. But, seeing that you've only uncovered one, I'll stay to help you find the rest. After all, none of you actually know the powers and history of the other keys." Roen explained, causing the others to look at him in a mixture of surprise and caution.
"You're the leader now, Y/N. Will you actually allow him to join in on our search?" Rem asked, facial expression serious, though Y/N could see a spark of amusement and challenge in his eyes.
Screw you. She bitterly thought, before sighing and turning her attention back to the hell hound. "Having more knowledge on the keys would honestly benefit us greatly. He would follow us either way like a lost puppy, so I guess there's really no option other than allowing him to join our team." Y/N declared.
Roen's shoulders seemed to have relaxed at her declaration.
"But, know that you'll never be able to keep the keys for yourself. These keys belong to the gods and no one else." The (H/C) sternly stated.
"We'll see." Roen smiled, before his shadowy form returned, and he once more became a black chihuahua.
"This'll be fun." Shi muttered to Ritsuka, as the two watched Y/N shake Roen back and forth by the scruff and demand for him to stay in his human form since pets aren't allowed on school property. The brunette, in response, smiled shyly and nodded her head in agreement.
